Welcome, Laenloe13! This is a great group here and they are so willding to share their knowledge. I won’t be one of those unfortunately though as I know very little! 😊 I enjoy this forum a lot and happily they put up with me!
I hope we will see you often! As Leslie said please share pictures of your flowers/plants when you have the time. Sounds like you have a very busy life though. We would love to see you and your plants at any time.

Hi, I have been on this group before but somehow I got locked out. I have read the posts for a long time. I am 76 years old as of Christmas day. :) I was married for almost 50 years when I lost my DH in 2012. He was retired from the Navy. We have 4 children, (3 DD's and a DS). My two oldest children live in South Carolina, my youngest daughter lives in Sarasota, Florida and my son, (the youngest child lives next door to me with his DW and 3 children. We have 9 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. I am a retired server. I had 15 years with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and 10 with Perkins Family Restaurant. I loved my work and would be willing to work now if I didn't have back issue's. Have lots of arthritis and it is no fun. I live in E. Tennessee, about 50 miles from Knoxville and 75 miles from Dollywood and Pigeon Forge. We lives all over being in the military. But, our dream was to go back home. We both love our native Tennessee. I love to cook and read and crochet. My son cooks a lot and we share meals. It sure works out good that way, because you can't buy small packages of stuff and I can't stand waste. I sure enjoy reading the post's. I feel as if I know a few already. I do enjoy traveling. I am going to my cousin's house in a couple of weeks and spend several days with her. Then in the Fall I am planning a trip to the Pacific Northwest. I have relatives there and will spend some time, perhaps a few weeks. My son told me he would hold down the fort while I am gone.

I have been "lurking" for a long time and have decided to become a poster! I thought I would share a little bit about me. I just turned 60 yesterday. I appreciate all the birthday wishes. I have been married to DH (Tony) for 13 years. We don't have children, but we do have a 4 year old pug dog. We love him to pieces. My DH is an engineer and I stay at home now. I worked in accounting and customer service most of my life. We live in Hickory, NC. That's an hour from Charlotte and about 1.5 hours from Asheville. We live very close to Williejean and also Steve. Probably not too far from Elza and Leslie. I do like to garden and cook. Although my gardening is a bit disappointing and hope you can help me out! Okay, probably more than you wanted to know. I will "see" you later.

I haven't read here in a while, but I'd like to extend a warm welcome to both Beverly and jetluv. I assume jetluv will spend more time in the cook's crock, but when you start digging in the dirt, please share with us in the garden shed your adventures and we love pictures....and don't be afraid to ask questions! There are many knowledgeable gardeners there that can give you advice. Hope to see more of both of you. Charlene
