It's a gorgeous day out there today here! Low humidity and cool temps this morning, windows still open! It will get warmer today than yesterday, though! So a/c will go back on this afternoon. Temps only to go to mid 80s today. But supposed to get hotter again! Oh, well! Hopefully, we can keep this as a continuous running thread, or maybe Bette 80can create a forum for weather chat! With hurricanes looming, and winter forecasts soon, lots to chat about!

I'm in Zone 5 in Eastern Ontario.
Right now it is about 80F, sunny and just a hit of a breeze - basically a perfect summer day.
Has anyone else noticed how the evenings are getting shorter, and the sun rise is now so much later?

Was low humidity the past few days so windows were open and ac off. Humidity is on the rise and the ac will come back on later today. I live in SE Ohio

Hot and sunny with unhealthy air for sensitive people...I must be one of them....I am not happy with the gardeners (Association), left lots of debris on the lawn, and don't feel like going outside and clean up..I wonder if they did it in purpose?? everywhere is picked up..humm

Here it is raining...we have gotten 8 inches since 6:30 last night and still raining. School closed and many roads closed because of flooding. Many home owner and business owners are busy pumping water out of their basements. The traffic by here is a constant stream of cars driving 1 mile north to look at our river and park all flooded. I am about sick of rain this year. Once I am able to get into the gardens, many perennials will be cut off and thrown and lots of annuals will be pulled and thrown. They have drowned this summer. Oh, Charlene! That is terrible! Didnt you get a lot of rain yesterday, too? Hope it dries out soon! We sometimes forget about the plight of the poor farmers, too, when too much rain comes down, or not enough!

Here it is hot and steamy. We set a record for the day yesterday when we topped out at 99* and a feel like of 116*. Hoping today will be a little cooler, but it's already 92* and feels like 105*. All eyes are on the tropics to see if Invest 99-L will come our way--forecasters said at noon today there is a 80% of doing so. Lori

It was extremely humid this morning but it has gone down. 79 and breezy but the a/c was turned on earlier to take out the humidity. I suspect that will get turned off by supper time. Tomorrows high is 63. They say low humidity is on the way and very low dew points.

We’re started at 57° with clear skies and a little sunshine. Our third “hot spell” of August begins today. It isn’t expected to be quite as intense as the heat last week, but temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 90’s today through Friday. Right now it's 92° with lots of sunshine and a little breeze.

Wow Charlene that is really a lot of rain. I'm so sorry to hear your having so much flooding. Hope you don't lose too many of your flowers.

We may be seeing some severe weather here in NW Ohio tonight. I hear the eastern border of Indiana has been hit by some tornadoes. Now I am hearing that NW Ohio is having tornadoes touch down. Yikes! Going to have to keep an eye to the sky!

Here in Michigan, it started out really nice, it was cloudy but the temps were cool, windows open. But as the morning went on, I started to shut the windows, then it was all of them closed. The air is on and it is so humid outside its hard for some people to breath. Its 80 right now, and I didn't catch the low for tonight, but the windows will be closed tonight.
Charlene, Sorry about all that rain, we have had lots of rain in the past week, so today when the weather man said, heavy rain at times, I kept thinking maybe the rain will fall apart over the lake and that is what happened. I too need to cut back lots of plants because of the rain.
Stay save everyone in the path of the storms.

It's still summer here in Va. but the mornings & evenings are getting cooler. Most of the mornings & evenings are now in upper 60s & I don't hear the AC running much.
I'm particularly glad for the cooler weather as my work week is done & I'm looking forward to getting back to my yard work.
Mid to upper 80s for the rest of the week with lows in upper 60s.
