Good morning from a damp and dreary Ontario. Looks like the rain is done for the day and we may even see a little sun later. A good meal last night at the church and also a good visit with my friend at lunch time - that about sums up my day yesterday. Maybe today I'll achieve something more tangible, maybe . . . Have an enjoyable day.

Good morning. It's 63, sunny and heading to 90. My plan for the day was to go to the DMV to see about getting that title but think I'll get outside soon and do some more pot refurbishing. I can go to the DMV this afternoon or wait until next week. After 20 years what's one more week. So I'll probably start with pots i have on the deck in the back. I may move them to the front since I don't use the deck much and would be prone to forget to water them. One pot has a hibiscus and the other 2 had annuals so no plants at the moment. Not sure what I'll put in them since I don't really have anything. Perhaps I'll make another trip to Lowe's for one thing to put in each and then plant some annual seeds in them as well.
Tasty, it's nice to have a day like that at least once in a while.
Need to finish my coffee and get moving.

Good morning everyone. It is 44º and raining. I hate these gloomy, dreary days, but since we need the rain so badly we have to have days like that. A little warmer would suit me better, though. Our high for the day is to be low 50s.
Yesterday was a work day and then a couple hours to help Phyllis. She was in a foul mood yesterday which consequently put me in that kind of mood too.
This morning I have to take Curt to get blood work done and then take Phyllis out to lunch and wash her bedding and make it for her. I'm thankful her friend is coming this weekend to stay for a few days which kind of gives me a break.
Tasty...thanks for opening. I'm glad you had some one on one time with your friend yesterday. Lunch and supper out....can't beat that!
Leslie...Isn't 90 hot for April? We usually only see 90s a few times in the heat of summer. It sounds like your going to have some pretty pots this year. I'd say the title could wait a little longer....lol.
Happy Thursday to all. Charlene

Good Morning All, Charlene, glad you are getting some much needed rain. I had 1.5 inches. Bible study this morning and this afternoon a meeting with my accountant. Yesterday son Brian came and cleaned out the water softener. It had been at least 7 years since that had been done. He spent almost an hour on that task. Lots and lots of sludge as well as salt buildup in the container. I have now added that task to my calendar to do every 2 years.

Good morning, its 43° headed to highs around 70 degrees. Sunny skies are expected to return to our region today. We are just starting to see some daylight.
Yesterday was laundry day; I stripped the beds washed the sheets and remade the beds once the sheets were dry. I just don’t like folding sheets.
Ordered some mini hummingbird feeders, with not seeing many hummers I will replace a few of the larger feeders with some smaller feeders.
Tasty, glad you had a nice visit with your friend.
Leslie, wow 90° temps don’t think we will see 90s until mid-summer.
Charlene, I am always impressed with all that you do for others.
Marlene, good idea adding tasks to your calendar. I am starting to do that too.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. It is 39°here this morning with showers. I survived yesterday with little affect except up with leg cramps a couple of times during the night but still slept well. Body is moving a little slow this morning but that will pass. I will be spending most of the day on the computer and phone. Need to pay all my monthly bills as yesterday was SS day. I have a lot of both personal things to take care of plus Lions' work. First however, I am going to decide on dinner. I am looking for something different but know know what it will be so will be spending some time searching my recipe program until I find something interesting.
Leslie, glad you are finally enjoying the time you have to work in your yard and not have to cram everything into a weekend. Any luck on finding a new church? Are the cats pretty much spending their days outside now. I can't believe you high temperatures so early in the season. Any signs of your DGS and girlfriend getting their own place?
Charlene, sorry that Phyllis' mood rubbed off onto you yesterday. Sounds like you job with her is becoming more demanding. Glad you are getting some much needed rain. We have had enough for a while I hope. The lakes and rivers are real high right now.
Marlene, love you quote this morning. I believe that. Glad you son was able to take care of your water softener for you. I don't know what I would do without my 2 kids sometimes.
Marnee, I need to think about getting the hummer food out soon. They are in southern NY and NJ right now and supposedly one has been seen about 50 miles south of me.
Mary, you spring day sounds lovely. Enjoy your walk.
Well sitting here isn't getting to long list.
Have a great day.

Taking a quick break for water. Been redoing pots, pulling weeds, digging small trees and liriope, and rearranging the pots. I'm hoping the cats don't destroy them. They do stay outside a good bit but I try to get them in before dark after some issues a few nights ago.
I doubt DGS will be moving out anytime soon. They are talking more about working on their GED, either through online classes or at the local technical school. I said I would keep the baby for a few hours a week but I'm not going to get tied down to it. I don't know if she has anyone who will help out. They haven't done anything yet so I'm not holding my breath.
It's 82 now. Back to work.

Good morning. I am sitting waiting for theDr. So decided I would have time to post, lol.
We have been in the upper 90s here. I haven't really minded but others are leaving and heading North sooner than they expected. I am now starting to get back into the swim pool since it's warmer.
It is weird how one's mood can change being around another person in a down or bad mood.
Today, some good friends we made are moving full time back to Canada. They decided they want to travel instead of being full time winter residents. We sure are going to miss them

It's sunny and pretty darn nice outside. I think our high will go to right around 70 today. I best enjoy it while it lasts. The long-term forecast shows about half the rest of the days this month won't get out of the 50s for highs. That would have sounded nice in February and early March. The end of April, not so much. I am fairly sure that DH didn't eat anything overnight or this morning before we went to the lab to get his blood drawn. I was kinda holding my breath on that, but it is done and behind us. He seems to be doing most of the things the therapist has been working on with him. I was happy to see him grab for the arms of the chair behind him before he sat down at the lab this morning. He had been pretty much flopping into chairs. I think he's using his walker and cane much more regularly now. Not 100%, but better than he had been. It is nice that he really seems to like the walker I ordered for him. It was a given this morning that we would take that to the lab. No argument about that from him at all. We have a podiatrist appointment coming up this afternoon, so I will have to pay a little more attention to his feet before we go. He should shower but doesn't want to and I am not up to it myself after this mornings outing. I will try to get him to wash up good. Sorry, Doc. Guess I better get going. He is pushing for me to do this and that. No rest for the wicked. LOL! I'll try to stop back by later.

Good afternoon, the temperature is 57° and it is cloudy. We had some rain sometime during the night because it was wet outside when I got up.
I have been busy cleaning since NO one volunteered to do it for me. I have a load of clothes in the washer and the dryer. Ethel has done here duties and so have I.
Have a good day.

Karen, it is good to read that DH seems to be complying a little better to his own care with using his walker and cane more. Sorry about the lift chair. Hopefully the other neighbor can help out.
Carol, isn't it annoying that no one seems to offer to help with the cleaning and laundry.

Well I guess I never made it here earlier. We were at 34 this morning. 42 now and super windy and gloomy again. Not sure how much rain we had but not as much as Charlene and Marlene. Most had a mist yesterday.
I got up and went to town this morning for paint. I came home and prepped the walls. Have spent 2 hours edging and haven’t gotten out of the entryway. My goal is entry and hallway today. 5 doors, entry bench, upper cabinets, coffee bar and uppers, plus ceiling and floor trim. So much work! Having a coffee break. Talked to dh twice. He was heading to bed since it was 11 when we got done chatting. He comes home tomorrow. With the time difference it will take 3 hours to get home😂. Took 21 hours to get there. He will be in Mpls before 6:30. Home about 10 pm. Hes going to be so messed up. He has a reffing class for soccer at 8am Saturday. Will be interesting.
Guess I better get back to work before I loose my pizzazz!

Good evening,
I worked today as we were supposed to get rain Nice & sunny all day, in the 70s & not a drop of rain. None forecast for tomorrow either but cooler, only in the 50s.
I need to give some serious thought to giving up this job. They say when you no longer enjoy the job, it's time to quit. I'm pretty much burned out. But the extra money, though not much, comes in handy at times. If they would just do what I asked them to do over a yr ago & switch me to their helper list I think it would be better. But nobody's listening to me. I'll be working Monday & Tues next week. The store is being remodeled over the weekend & new displays have to be set up. They also have me scheduled to work Friday, but I'm going to try & get out of that.
Anyway, I didn't do a lot when I got home. I went out & did some more weeding in the Daylily bed where the stump is. I think one more bucket of weeds will finish filling the hole up & then I can cover over with Topsoil & replant the area farther out from the tree. The daffs I pulled out will stay in their pots until Fall. Gives me plenty of time to move them around & decide where their final home will be.
I'll probably work on that all day tomorrow. Was going to spray the d'way for all the grass that has come back up, but need warmer weather for that.
Melissa, you do a lot of painting. Do you like to paint? I remember Kathy saying she liked to paint. Too bad she doesn't visit us much anymore. Weird how it took your DH 21 hr to get there & 3 to get home. LOL I expect he will have some serious Jet Lag.
Karen, sounds like maybe your DH is taking his disability a little more seriously, at least for now. Hope you find a new chair for him soon. I need a new recliner but don't want to spend the money. I looked at them for a Christmas present to myself last yr. I was thinking no more than $800 max. I couldn't find one I liked for less than $1,000

Good evening. Only thing I have done since I posted this afternoon is update the duty roster for the Memorial Day Garage Sale and unfortunately laid down. About 3 I couldn't function any longer so went and laid down. Didn't really sleep but dozed off and on. It was 5 when I finally got up. Hence forth no jambalaya made for dinner. So it will be leftover Spanish Rise from Monday night, Fried Dough (had a little bit of roll dough left over from Monday) and homemade strawberry ice cream from the freezer.
Melissa, I am sure you are going to be happy to have DH back home safely. That will be a long drive home after that flight. Hopefully he can get some sleep on the plane. I never could. That is a lot of cutting in you have to do. I love the fact that there is no paint in this house.
Gayle, I have been complaining a lot about my job lately but I do enjoy it most of the time. It is when we have big resets that it really gets to me as so many long hours and the planogram never fits the store as my stores are small and many quite old with no updates. Yesterday doing coolers, these are a bit smaller than the new ones. The expect to to put 9 drinks on a shelf that can only hold 8. Can never adjust all the shelves so at least on shelf has something on it that is too high for the shelf. I have been thinking about you burying weeds in your stump hole. I sure hope that doesn't come back to haunt and those weeds start growing.
Enjoy your evening.
