Good morning. Actually there isn't much good about it. About 8" of heavy wet snow and it is still snowing. Woke up to the generator kicking on at 4:09 this morning and they are saying won't get power back until about 4 this afternoon. As usual March is very unpredictable.
I'll be back in a few

Good morning Friends.
Bet- We have been without power all night. Went out last night around 11pm and came back on for about 30 minutes and back off until 5am. I am not sure how much snow we got. Last night as it started as rain we went to Proctorsville for a surprise Birthday meal at a local restaurant and we had a great time. When we came out at 8:45, we had about 4 inches of wet heavy snow. Was a wild ride home for sure. Especially through Proctorsville Gulf. It is a mile and a half long narrow cut down through a steep ravine with 5 major sharp turns. Always accidents there through the winter. We fishtailed several times. Could not go above 22 mph the whole way home. Just 9 miles and it took us 40 minutes coming home. Took 15 minutes to get there at 6pm, Yep it is march LOL

Good morning! I slept and extra hour for some reason...maybe I'm already caught up with my lost DST hour???!!! Dinner last night was exceptional. Venison with Bill's whole grain mustard sauce was delicious. My sweet potato experiment was good. I left the potatoes a little too long under the broiler, but they were good. I'd make them that way again. Old Bay cauliflower was yummy. Tonight we are having pepper steak sandwiches with a side of Cole slaw. It's pouring rain right now...over an inch. No plans for the day. Enjoy yours!! Waving!

Good morning Chris. We are suppose to get rain this afternoon and be in the 40's. First thing I did after reporting the outage and got a hot cup of tea was to text the guy that plows me once in a while to let him know I wanted to be plowed today. Have no intention of trying to snowblow this mess. It will be back enough trying to find my sidewalk at the snow has been coming off the roof all night. I shouldn't complain. I have the generator and the house is nice and warm. My poor neighbors can up Friday night. The don''t have a generator. He usually gets plowed out but have a feeling he will be out snow blowing it he has his snowblower here. Otherwise is yard it going to be a mess but it is just all mud before the snow.
Have no idea what I will do for the day. I guess I could vacuum but that doesn't sound interesting at all. I suppose I could sit here and play all day.
Have a great day.

Ann, you are lucky you made up the hour already. I lost more that the hour for the time change as the generator woke me at 3 AM old time. We are to get rain later today which is going to make a real mess.

Good morning all. The snow really has not happened at home and they will only see a dusting later on. It is 36 there this morning and that is it for the day. Here it is 57 at 8am but will climb to the mid 60s and should be nice and sunny. No golf today as we have tickets for the local theatre this afternoon. We went to their spring show last year and enjoyed it so decided to go again this year. I'm about to have some breakfast and then will head out for a walk. Watched the Canadian men's curling last night. Started out as a really good game with some gorgeous shots but then one team had a few shots that were just a little off. We've been able to watch it on YouTube which has been great. 2 more games with the final this evening. Thinking of my Dad this morning - 99 years ago today, he was born, an unexpected addition to the family. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Well the official measurement here was 8" but had to tell how much it had settled since it is so wet. The moisture measured out to equivalent to 1 3/4" of rain. Right now there is a strange bright orb in the sky. and the temperature is rising. Guess I should get off this computer and find something constructive to do. I could shovel the sidewalk now that the snow is all off that side of the house I think. We lucked out the power came back about 7. Now to hope for no wind as some of the trees in my yard the branches are touching the ground with the weight of the snow.
Tasty, enjoy the concert today.

Good morning. Our snow and wind doesn't begin until later today. I just got a winter storm advisory that we are looking at 1 to 3 inches with winds up to 45 miles an hour. Ouch. They are probably going to get much more snow in the hills around us.
Not much going on around here. I have some personal business to do on the computer I plan to mark some of my personal possessions with an engraving pen I bought. Things tend to walk away around here if you're not careful. We are looking at some snow here today. Good old March, good old March.
Looked out my window yesterday morning and there was a flock of about 8 Canada geese standing within 10 ft of the window. I have a field on this side of the building that rises up slightly so I could get a good look at them. That does hint at spring coming. The deer have been marching in front of our big Windows where we eat so we get to see them almost every day. There's about 8 of them. Not much else going on here.
Bet, don't hurt yourself shoveling that heavy snow. Everyone have a good day today. Talk to you later.

Good morning everyone. Bet, sorry to hear you’ve lost power. No generator here, good you have one. Very unpredictable month. 38*F here, flurries expected. Chris, sorry you’ve lost power too. Good you made it home safely yesterday. Ann, usually takes me all week to adjust to time change, but I’m off to a good start this time, took my first meds on time. Tasty, enjoy the theatre this afternoon. Good to hear that Marjo is doing well, but sad that she feels she hasn’t much to post. Always enjoyed to hear about her day. Our life feels boring at times as we are no longer as active as we used to be. That’s a statement, not a complaint. We have it good compared to so many others. Made stew yesterday, DH peeled the veggies. Sure hit the spot. Leftovers tonight or might save for another day. 30 minutes to type this, better rest my hands. Bbl. Jan Hi Birdie, you snuck in. Smart to mark your personal belongings. Things disappearing in seniors homes seem to be the norm around here. Jan

Birdy, good to see you here again today. I understand marking things. Glad you at least have an interesting view out your window. Are you still in the rehab where you were originally or have you moved to the other housing your were talking about earlier? Let's just hope mother nature gets all of this snow out of her system by Thursday. Who is taking you to the hospital?
Jan, as long as we are on the top side of the turf in the morning life is exciting.

Good morning
Out and back. Mandy was uninterested in doing #2 so we will be taking a long walk this earlier this afternoon. She was waiting for Mary and her two, but I think they were either later or earlier today. We were earlier today too but she still beat us.
The lightheadedness is almost gone. I wish I knew what brings that on. At least this time I could still function, just slowly. It's rather scary. I did up my water intake yesterday but still need to do better. It's so much easier drinking more water when it's warmer outside.
Who has "washed" their washing machine? About once a month I run either one cup of vinegar or a special cleaner through the hot water cycle to clean the machine. I have done this for years. It really does clean the machine and make a difference. It gets rid of all the soap residue and grime left behind.
Speaking of cleaning, I need to call a service person to check over my heat pump so it is ready for summer. I also need to call for a haircut before I get picked up by animal control. :o
I have a load of dark clothes in the washer which I hope will be done by the time on line church starts. The time change is not making the time for MN church convenient anymore. I really have to hustle now. And I don't like to hustle anymore. hehehe
Thrilled beyond measure that there is NO time change here. But it sure does mess things up for me because my family and friends do. I hate the time change, always have. It just isn't necessary anymore.
So sorry to hear that some of you got dumped with snow and no power. I do hope the power is restored sooner than they say. And that the snow won't last long either.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Bet, to answer your question I am no longer in the rehab section of facility since we have gotten to the point where I cannot improve anymore on my arms . At that point I am on self pay. I am now living in a smaller house on the campus with 16 others. It is considered assisted Living. 1 good thing is that Medicare will cover the new treatments on my jaw since it isn't connected with the earlier surgery.
Using the Microsoft voice in fixation did George help but making the corrections make it almost worse than enjoying it straight from the keyboard! I left this as I dictated it just so you can see. Birdy
PS Who is George? LOL

Birdy, that is too funny. I have found on my phone I switched programs and it is pretty darn accurate. Not sure which one I am using whether it is samsung or google but one is much better than the other. How do you like living with 16 other people? Must be quite an adjustment. PM me your new address when you get a chance.

Bet, the sale didn't go very well. I did however sell several of Marks tools and three items I had out that I don't use anymore. So it wasn't a total loss. I think I'll donate what didn't sell. I need room more than I need not wanted items. :)
