Good morning. Happy Thanksgiving. It is 31°this morning will just a few billowy pink clouds in the sky with some gray centers in them. There are also pink jet streams across the eastern sky. Not quite time to see the sun peaking above the horizon. First on the agenda this morning I am out the door to snow blow while the snow is dry. Only about a inch left but want to get it off the driveway. Especially the hill. Karen, glad you got the new TV hooked up. Once you start using it you will find it quite easy. DH may have a little problem however. You may want to write instructions for him when you start streaming. Are you going to continue to have cable or eventually have just streaming? You may need to write step by step directions out for DH to follow. BTW if you have SiriusXM radio they have all of the major sports broadcast including the Bills. You can tune them in on your TV to listen. Also Streaming now one of the apps is carrying a lot of the NBA etc. I think it is Hulu and it isn't as expensive as NBA Pass.
Sandy, maybe there will be one less deer to eat your plants. Enjoy the family today.
I will be back when finished. Have a great day. Bet

Good morning. 17° and feels 5°. High of 26°. I have the bread resting to go in the oven. I got the 3 pies made yesterday (low carb pumpkin, cherry cheesecake with home made cherry filling, and chocolate pudding pie), cranberry conserve, and we cooked the dark meat and got the gravy stock ready, plus peeled potatoes and shaved the brussel sprouts for a side dish. We plan to eat at 11:30 since ds and gf have to travel back to her dads for dinner tonight. I told ds they are going to have food hangovers tomorrow. There will be 9 of us for lunch. I need to get the oven on and start doling out pills for Cooper. He already had his prilosec. Good grief. Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃🦃🦃

Mellisa, you are well prepped for an early Thanksgiving dinner. I know your DS and his GF about food hangover. DD has dinner at 3 and DS at 5. Fortunately DS is usually running a bit behind so I get a little longer break and they only live about 5 minutes apart so no problem with getting from one to the other. It will be nice for o=you to have dinner over early and have the rest of the day to relax.

Good morning and happy Thanksgiving. It's 42 and sunny but will be cloudy and 60 this afternoon. Since I'm not doing much cooking I'm in no hurry to get it going. DGS and his GF will be eating with her family around noon I think so I'll be eating whenever I get things ready and he can eat again before work tonight or early in the morning when he gets off. I have a feeling he won't be working long since they aren't open today and there won't be cleaning to do, just prep work I guess. He's working nights at a Chick-fil-A right now but not getting many hours because they get done fairly quickly and he comes home.
Hulu has a special right now for $1 a month for a year. That's how I got sucked into Hulu a few years ago and kept it for a while after but ended up canceling eventually. Right now I assume I have the free Sirius for the next 10 days or so but I haven't been in my car to check and will only really enjoy it during my trip next weekend. I assume the free weeks don't include all the other benefits, just the car radio.
I sometimes use the voice feature to have Alexa search for movies for me rather than typing in something. With the firestick I can even use that in my bedroom even though I don't have a smart TV in there, just the stick.
Enjoy your day with family. I imagine oldest son's family will have a family meal at home and then also go to his MIL's. Son #2 is by himself today and I hope he gets some rest and doesn't let his girls talk him into letting them come there when they are done with their mom's family gathering. He doesn't know how to say no to them but he needs a break after so many days of therapy, doctor appointments, including specialists, and a sick child the one day that oldest daughter finally went back to school in person after being out sick. I have a feeling though that his ex will even encourage the girls to ask him to let them come so she will only have her youngest for the rest of the day and probably night, and he won't tell them no because he knows they would rather be at his house.
Need to drink my coffee before it gets colder.
BTW, I found out on Facebook this morning that I have a new great nephew. He was born last Saturday, the 18th, at 36 weeks. It seems he failed 2 car seat tests so had to go to the NICU for a bit but hopefully will be able to go home soon. The photos they posted must have been before they sent him to the NICU. He was over 5 pounds but doesn't look that tiny. My niece just turned 38 last month and this is her first, and will likely be her only one. She has been married for 9 years.
Have a great day.

Leslie, congratulations on the new great nephew. To bad DGD isn't getting many hours in on the new job. What will the Siriusxm monthly bill go to when your trial ends? I just had a chat with them an they reduced mine own to $10.99. They even did it in the middle of the monthly cycle and refunded the pro rata of the additional I way paying which was over $20 a month. I do this every year.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! May each of us focus on what we have instead of what we don't have. Bet, good luck with moving snow. I have not had to encounter that chore yet. Melissa, your menu makes my mouth water. Leslie, I have Sirus in my car and love it. I always threaten to cancel when it is time to renew and usually I get a good rate. Such a shame that Sirus can't offer that rate right away. Bet, just read your post post about $10 a month. I get mine for $7.00 I will be going to DS's for Thanksgiving. It will be just the 6 of us. Sunday, the whole crew will come for early lunch since one of the grandson's has to leave by 1:30 for his 4 hour trip back to college. We will be around a dozen. Marlene

Good Morning & HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
We are waking up to a really pretty day, but it is still quite chilly. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring. We're not going anywhere or having anyone here, so all is well whatever the weather does. The parade is on and the turkey is in the oven so the hard part is over. I'll fix a few side dishes and prep stuff for tomorrow, and also deal with the family room and DH's bathroom. I can pick up the family room while watching the parade.
Tasty, how sweet of you to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving! Much appreciated. Have a lovely day however you spend yours.
I hope, Sandy, you and the family have a good time together today.
Happy snow blowing, Bet! I will probably have to write stuff down for both of us once we are streaming. I do better with written instructions. I am keeping the basic cable box in the office so I can watch TV in here when I want. I'm debating on whether or not to get another basic box for DSon's room TV or maybe see if he can get the antenna working with it. No Sirius XM here. DSon has told me of paying options so I can watch the Bulls games if I want. Currently, though, they are playing so bad I don't want to pay a penny to watch or hear them do anything. DH is after me all the time about going back on Hulu, but we didn't watch it so I don't want to pay for it.
Dave, that is a very pretty Thanksgiving meme. Wishing you a blessed day.
Your meme, Melissa, makes me smile. It's a good thing there are few days of the year when multiple big meals are served in a day. One year, my stepmother's sister was hosting Thanksgiving. Her DH was a cousin to my DH's father. I imagine that might have played a part in her asking us to dinner that year. I really appreciated it as I never was asked to spend a Thanksgiving with my DF after my parents divorced. It was, however, a very food-coma-inducing sort of day. I feel for people who have big meals close together because of that. For all that my DM did that got on my nerves over the years, she is 100% the reason I don't flip out over when the kids come here because she altered her meals to accommodate her girls' in-laws as much as she could.
Happy Thanksgiving to our two Carols!!!
Leslie, my plan was similar to yours. Get things going whenever, but then I looked at how long it would take to cook my turkey. It still had some ice inside of it that I had to work out, so it was good I checked into it sooner rather than later. Best wishes on the new great nephew being released from the hospital soon. Nice to have a new baby in the family.
Your plans for the day sound like good ones, Mary! Good luck on the Scrabble game.
Great advice, Marlene, on focusing on what we have. Enjoy time with your family today.
Well, I need to go do something. DH called me away in the middle of this and distracted me. Time to get busy. Have a wonderful day!
