How do I post after typing a reply? I can see how to post a quick reply but can't seem to hit the right button for a regular reply. I have been typing most days but doesn't seem to go through. Got back from shopping and need to start doing some work here. We ate chicken at KFC today and was fresh out of the oven extra crispy and very good. Got all we needed at Wal Mart and back home by 2:00. We did have ice cream cone at Mc Donalds on the way home.

Welcome to all our new friends. It's nice to read about what everyone is cooking and their everyday activities. I think I'll sauté some mini pierogies to go with the steaks tonight. Ann, The tomatoes looks great. I'm sure most of you heard that Ryan Lochte and several others were robbed at gun point this morning. I don't think the Olympics will be held again any time soon in Rio. What a shame. Nancy |

I was going to do the same thing Marlene did and use the crockpot but it's to hot. Made some 3 bean salad yesterday and will have that will some crackers.
Would love to get local tomatoes, love a good tomato sandwich with mayo and soft ( like Wonder) bread.
Nancy- saw this about Ryan Lochte- it was a taxi robbery.
A representative for Pereira told The Washington Post that Lochte was robbed in a taxi after leaving a club in Brazil. Pereira's representative, Flavio Perez, told the Post that Lochte and Pereira were both at the club celebrating a birthday of a mutual friend. Perez also told the Post that Lochte was unharmed.
"Thiago Pereira and his wife, Gabriela Pauletti, were in Club France, the French house in Brazil, and they were celebrating the birthday of a friend in common," Perez told the Post. "Lochte was also in the same place, commemorating the same birthday. Ryan and Thiago are friends. Thiago and his wife left earlier, they left alone, the two of them. Thiago and his wife went back to their hotel. Then Thiago, on finding out what happened, called Ryan. Ryan is well, and Thiago said that the robbery, according to Ryan, was in the taxi. The taxi was robbed."

Tonight I only have the 3 of us for supper , so doing sausages in the actifry with fried potatoes onions and carrots green salad. We are eating in the house as aposed to the field. Tomorrow I'll have the normal 5-6 for supper and all in the field . It's going to be hectic as I just had a stem cell treatment done in Denver CO 3 weeks ago.
Angela I live about 1 1/2 hrs south of Saskatoon.

Hi. We are having grilled pork chops and DH garlic parmesan potatoes and corn on the cob.
Tomorrow it will be spaghetti and meat sauce.A neighbor gave me a seasoning to try on buns for garlic toast.

Ann, I've never heard of "tomato raisins" but they do sound -- and look! -- good.
Welcome to all the new posters! Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
Like many of y'all, we're having a hot and humid weekend here in upstate South Carolina. Doesn't look like that will change anytime soon, but then, that's what we should expect!
Have to tell y'all about my eating experiences yesterday -- my sister & I met over to start going through things at mom's apartment. We started out at the local coffee shop where I had one of their huge and delicious cinnamon rolls. They use a caramel glaze that just puts it over the top.
After we got done for the day, we headed back up to the town square to drop off some clothes at a consignment shop. Then had lunch at The Rough House -- used to be a pool hall, now they provide hot dogs and ice cream.
After I got home, I had a short time to get ready before DH's sister & her husband got there. We cooked burgers and hot dogs on the grill for dinner. Ann, Cape Cod smoked gouda chips were delicious with my burger! And we finished up with Fat Boy ice cream sandwiches.
Altogether a day of fine dining worthy of the Food Network! :D

Praise the Lord I'm here! HaHa. I found this really difficult on my phone, or maybe its my age? ;) Either way it is a great incentive to hook up my new computer and monitor that have been in their boxes for 2 1/2 years (dont ask).😳
It's a hot one here today in sunny So Cal. I plan on having beef hot links and zucchini casserole before I lose the zucchini.
I sure have missed my "Lovely Ladies of the board" and thats for sure!
Bless our Nancy for checking on me from time to time via e-mail and for letting me know of the closure and move.

Ezdoesit, My husband has a friend who is from Rio and he admits it's not safe. Elza, I've been thinking of you. I remember going through my moms items and it was emotional. Good to see you. Yum on those cinnamon caramel rolls. Ladybug, Sausage, potatoes, onions and carrots sounds so good! DH and I like it but those kids wont eat it. Yeah Jan! I know everyone will be thrilled that you are here my friend! A nice surprise indeed! Elaine, How long will you be in N.D.? Hello ladies. I'm new posting on this post but I used to read your posts every day on TOH. I feel like I know all of you. I live alone and cook very little. So I never had anything to post. I hope you don't mind me reading and enjoying your post. Today I had a BLT sandwich.
