Good morning. I see a lot of new names appearing here. I know some of them from the different cooking boards on TOH. At the moment we are running just one board to keep things simple until everyone feels comfortable finding their way around.
Please feel free to start your own thread daily, weekly or what ever you are accustom to. I am sure some of the gardeners will join in also since gardening and cooking seem to go together.
I do a lot of cooking in the winter. I love learning new techniques and international cooking. Have spent a lot of time collecting Oriental recipes, an working on Mediterranean cooking and am very interested in Indian cooking.
I don't do much in the summer as I work 4 days a week as a prep cook in a local restaurant. After 6 hours there I am not in a hurry to get home and jump into making a meal.
Please don't be shy. Start posting your own threads.

OK - what's cooking has been started for today. Thanks Bet.
I think 6 hours a day would be enough cooking for anyone without starting again when you get home! Good thing your freezer is well stocked.

Hi Friends! Those of you from TOH will probably recognize me, as I have been there since 2002 and am also a volunteer field editor. I am so glad to find this site - thanks for setting it up!
I have recently come out of retirement (30 years of teaching and 3 years of retirement) to work as an Adult Literacy Coordinator for the Los Angeles Public Library. I love my job of matching volunteer tutors with adults who need help with reading and writing. I work 20 hours per week, so I still have time to read, cook, and spoil my granddaughter.
Today I am working 2-7 PM, so dinner will be leftovers.
