Good evening all!!! Thank you to Bette & Charlene for doing this & thanks to Karen for keeping me informed.
SSSOOOO!!!! I have a new grandbaby!!!! DD had her baby August 6!! A Girl!! 7 pounds 4.3 oz. 19 inches long. She had such a tough time. Labor for over 24 hours, pushed for 3. The peds doc said they were talking c-section. So glad they didn't. She was close to giving up. At 2am she decided she wanted an epidural, after 15 hours of labor. It was still 8 hours after that til she was born. But she's healthy & beautiful & DD is doing well. They went home today.
And today my mom had a knee replacement. She's fine, not sure how long she'll be in the hospital or where she'll go from there. So I spent ALOT of time in the hospital since Friday!!!
I would try to stop in at TOH but I was also having an internet problem. I lost it so many times. I kept calling & reporting it. I finally got a $5 credit every month for a year & a $30 credit. Scream long enough something's bound to give!!
I'll try to get here more. I soon go back to work - YUCK!

I had good intentions of getting here much sooner than this. My sister called and talked for an hour and then my niece that is just 4 yrs younger than me called to tell me that she just had her 1st grand child today....a girl named Adelyn. that call was 1.5 hours. Needless to say, I feel like I have a phone glued to the side of my face.
I did not read closely enough to reply to everyone....but a few things I remember

Donna...I sure wish I could share some of this rain with you, Kathy, Leslie and whoever else needs it so desperately. I think this is the 1st time ever that I had to pull dead plants from drowning.
Melissa...didn't know your DD was a big Laura Ingalls fan. They lived in this area after leaving Walnut Grove and there are museums at Spring VAlley MN and also Bur Oak IA....both towns are ½ from here...next time you can visit them.
So happy to see that LILY made it here! I knew you could do it, Lily. Now to get Liny here.
Bette...I did post on Liny's chit chat before the phone started ringing. I have tried every way to get her here...one last plan that I am trying tomorrow.
Nice to see Posy, Abey, Lair and others joining us. I did remember about Auntcon today and sent her the link to register and she made it here...yay..1 more on the membership list!
Sue...congrats to you...and so glad you are here as well. I can tell by your avatar that you are one proud Gma!

Hi! Just popping in very late tonight. My sister & hubby have been here for over a week & tomorrow they head back to Alberta. So, lots of chatting & cooking! Back to my normal hum-drum routine tomorrow. Must say I have missed my internet time but I usually only see my sister once a year. So, more important to spend good times with her.
Looks like we are in for an rainy week. We had a number of downpours today & severe thunderstorms are forecasted for tonight. Time will tell what we get. Hopefully areas about 15 miles to the North us don't get too much rain as they are just recovering from 6-7" last Thursday! Enough for them for sure.
See you all tomorrow. Will try to do a better job of responding. Have a good night everyone.

Lair, it good to see you here. I didn't know Tim was in Chemo again. I will keep him in my thoughts. My SIL is having her 2nd treatment tomorrow.
Lilly, glad to see you made it here. If I go put a "link" for this site on the other board for LINY, do you think that will help? There is a reply box now at the end of everybody's comments. You can still open a 2nd tab if you want to read what everybody said & reply accordingly.
And good to see Donna back with us again.
Melissa, I missed the post about your daughter's fall. Is she OK?
Kathy, I worked nine hrs today too. On my feet all day, no lunch, no breaks. Was supposed to do it again tomorrow but things got switched around & the project was moved to Friday. Hopefully it will be less than 9 hrs. I'm working every day this week though.
We had a nice cool day today with a little shower mid afternoon. We could use more but take what we can get.
AC is to be installed Thur. finally !!!!
