Good morning! I'm getting off work early today to go to the dentist for my permanent crown, and then DH, DS, & I are planning to go to Greenville to a baseball game. I'm looking forward to that! Looks like this will be the best night for it, as there is a greater chance of thunderstorms coming in tomorrow.
I'd planned to cook chicken breasts in the crockpot today but I'll do that tomorrow instead.

Good morning all.
We were up late last night as DDIL had a false alarm. She was with me and the dr. told us to head to the hospital. DS met us there. They kept her about an hour and half and released her. I hope she got a good night sleep as she was tired and disappointed. Her contractions were 7 minutes apart while she was hooked up to the machine. So hopefully baby will arrive soon.
Not sure what dinner will be tonight. DDIL will head over after my son leaves for work today unless something changes. DD and I are going to try to get out for a bit this morning until my son leaves for work.
Have a great day.
Betsy

Good morning friends.
Thanks for starting us off Elza. Enjoy the game tonight.
Sunny and hot again today. Might go to the pool. Youngest DD wants to get new sneakers for school so that's on the agenda for this morning. Two of her friends are sleeping over tonight. One of the friends is a fussy eater so DD said to make chicken nuggets and mac and cheese.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
Betsy--my SIL used to claim that my brother found a way to bring on contractions with her youngest. They were living in a town that still had some remnants of cobblestone pavement and several railroad grade crossings. They went for a ride in the afternoon and she was vibrated around pretty good. Sure enough--she went into labor that night! Not a guarantee, though! LOL! I'm sure DDIL is anxious to get this show on the road!
Not much going on here today--hazy, hot, and humid again. I may settle in with a good book this afternoon.
Have a good day, everyone.
Birdy

Hello !
Betsy, I hope Poppy will make her arrival sooner rather than later!
Had to get up early today and get the girl dog to the groomers. Then I stopped by McDonalds and treated myself to breakfast. Ran by the drugstore as I was out of Flonase. Stopped by to visit with Helen for a few minutes since I had not talked to her all week. I went over for the luau party but she was not there yesetrday. She had hoped I could take her shopping tomorrow but I have to stay home and wait on the ac guys. They are coming to replace the bad unit.
DH will be home for lunch any moment now. Not sure what he will eat though. I am still full from my late breakfast. I did not cook anything last night since neither of us were hungry. He ate a little leftover rice and I had a bowl of cereal when I got back home from playing cards.
I am going to play bunco at 1:00 then will go pick up the dog. I won't be cooking supper tonight either since we are going out with the group to Jake's restaurant. It's a steakhouse and is very good. I had chicken fried steak last time so may try something new like a grilled pork chop.
I am finally getting around to doing laundry today.
Make it a super day!

Made 2 Peach pies this morning and new casserole. So need to clean the floor in my kitchen. I need to go to town and sign papers for insurance for Dad's place to keep liability on it until March. Don't want anybody hurt up there before they take over. Been to town two days this week and forgot to stop there! The mind, to much for me to keep everything done. Maybe one day it will get slower for me.
We got another nice rain this morning. So that will maybe green things up a bit. I had inch in on gauge and 1.3 in another one yesterday. So have not been out there to see today. It was lightning in the west when I got up. Red went out but came in before it rained. Now he is on his blanket on my bed. He has to be on a blanket there and not on my bedspread. He waited for me to put it down too.
Will see if I make to town or wait until tomorrow to go?? I have to mow tomorrow and want to get some good Colo. peaches and make a pie as my son will be down here some time this week-end. Have to spoil him too. Chuck and Jeff will get these two.
Elza have a good time at the ball game. I went to dentist yesterday and will go back as I have one little place on tooth I want him to fill, all of a sudden I can clean in between the tooth and don't want it to get bigger. He is going to retire and has 3 others now in his office and building a new office for them now. Things always change.
Betsy good luck to DDIL and hope the time comes soon. I am sure she is anxious. Will be nice to hear the news Poppy is here.
Nancy sounds like a good day planned for you and girls and a good supper also. I made my own Chicken tenders and need to do that again. They were really good. Need a crowd to do it.
Have a great day everyone. Marlene

Hello friends. Had a nice day in kindergarten. For the most part it was a sweet group of children, but naturally there were some live firecrackers in the mix that kept me on my toes throughout the day. I came home tired, but the heat didn't help either--a super duper hot one today.
Currently we are having a heavy downpour. Our high today was 98* and just a hour ago it had only dropped to 94*. However, in the hour that this thunderstorm has been pounding on us, it has dropped 17 degrees to a much nicer 77.
Betsy, praying little Poppy shows up real soon.
Dinner was leftover chicken chow mein. Time to read a little before bed.
