I have been "slaving "away cleaning my kitchen in air-conditioning!!! So glad to see you are working too Chris!! Would be nice to snap your fingers and all the cleaning done!! I did 3 loads of wash including my kitchen rugs. Will be nice when it is all put back together and is clean. The 'ol body is not quick to do all this anymore. My gal comes tomorrow to vac living room and bedrooms. She had tummy problems and had to leave 2 weeks ago so I finished it then. I can do it but lots of sit times in between the back starts screaming.
I need to clean strawberries and wash the cherries I bought yesterday. Should have gone to Farmer's market and got some tomatoes but will do it Sat. It is Wednesday and Saturday's here. Got some more containers to put Jam in so guess what everyone is getting for Christmas!! If its not given away before??
Have a great day everyone. Marlene

Good afternoon. 67 here this morning and still misting off and on. Our forecast is for rain again tomorrow and the maybe 4 dry days. Starting Wednesday through August 9 it is showing showers everyday. So far since Sunday night we have gotten 2 1/4" of much needed rain. This is the 3rd day in a row that the humidity hasn't dropped below 100%. It has been only in the low 70's but very uncomfortable. I think I am finally rested as I was able to get myself out of bed by 6:45 this morning rather than 8:30-9. I hate days like that. To me the day is half gone by then. Tuesday before work and yesterday I was able to get out on the deck and so some work. Since my house is a chalet there is quite an overhang at the peak. I have potting tables set up next to the house under that peak. I have been repotting and taking cuttings of small geraniums that I didn't use this year. Have a few more ivy geraniums to do and then I can start on the MW. Also have a number of large geraniums that are just hanging out in pots out there that need some TLC which will mean more cuttings. Since I haven't been able to do much outside with the rain I have been planning where all these plants are going this winter. Between the ivy and zonal geraniums I have 16 different colors. There will be over 30 baskets coming in plus what is in pots. I have decided I want them all in the shop this year and none in the house. I need to build 2 more light racks for 4' lights and buy 2 more 4' lights. I may have to build one more greenhouse bench which will mean more lights and another light rack. However, first I need to get the shop cleaned up and everything put where it should be stored. There are lots of cabinets but most are empty at the moment. I have got it started. Need to get back out there to work. I also have to clean next door as have rentrs coming in tomorrow for a week.
Have a great day.

Somebody has to do it Chris !!!
As my hubby likes to say, you work and pay taxes to pay my pension 😊
Marlene, you are making lots of jam this year - lucky people who receive it!
This morning was another canning morning for me. Working with what is at the farmers markets, we made 2 different kind of pickled beans. Next week I think we need to get busy with cucumbers and stone fruits will be coming along soon too! Lots to be done but we have so much fun while we're working.
The weather has changed back sunny and warm so I'm hoping to do some outside stuff this afternoon. Hubby will be golfing and having supper out tonight so I will rummage in the fridge and see what I can find.
Have a great day.

Good Afternoon Friends!
Today was my free day with nothing at all on the agenda.
Supper is going to be a Schwan's entrée of pasta, chicken and spinach. I never had done the fried green tomatoes, so will plan on making those.
Have not done too much today. I did some laundry and got some mending done.
DH said the nurse Judy was going to pick up Helen this morning, so she should be back home by now. She was anxious to get back there. I know she will be ecstatic to see her cat again.
Speaking of cats, Ray and Rhonda are going to take ours. We will drive down early Saturday morning and drop he off. We won't stay too long since they are going to a birthday party at noon. We will eat some yummy lunch at a favorite restaurant and we might do some shopping. We won't be gone too late, I will need to get back and make something for the pot luck Sunday. It is a true pot luck so will need to take a main dish. Right now I am thinking overnight scalloped chicken. On Friday I plan on baking some of the butter pecan squares and taking a small pan down to Ray and Rhonda. The rest I will take to church.
Waving to everyone. Have a great day!

Hi everyone. We drove to Grand Forks today to see some friends that are moving to Arkansas tomorrow. We are now at ground round having teas. They ( the lake ) got the plumbing in yesterday so now waiting for electrician so then they can do the siding and start on the inside of the lodge. I have given up having internet there this year. The place sure has changed and not to the good.people have sure been pulling out. It's sad.
I just read the posts and looks like you are all busy. I sure miss reading the posts everyday. Elaine

Good to hear from you, Elaine. Sorry that the changes are not for the better. I know you were concerned about that.
Chris, even with A/C, I was getting pretty warm at the drive-through window today. I was glad to get home and into some more comfy clothes.
Marlene, sounds like you are done with your Christmas shopping! Way to go!
Bet, I am in awe of your gardening skills. You clearly love it and it shows in the results.
Tasty, LOL at your husband. We have 5 nephews serving the military so when I write those tax checks, I just think, I'm paying their salaries. Makes me feel better about it!
Tammy, I know you are glad that your friends will take your cat. Hope all will be happy!
DH has burgers on the grill and I have tater tots in the oven so we are set for a good meal tonight. We ended up going to Greenville last night for a baseball game -- the local minor league team was playing a double-header (one was a makeup game). We got there in the middle of one game and left in the middle of the next! But it was fun, and a very pleasant evening. I had a cheese quesadilla for dinner with cookies & cream ice cream for dessert.

A little bit of rummaging in the upstairs freezer uncovered one solitary piece of haddock and a small container of cheese sauce and I knew there was cauliflower in the fridge, so with very little work I'll have cauliflower cheese and baked haddock, maybe some ice cream too. Sounds good to me 😊.

That sounds very good, Tasty. Your freezer must be a treasure trove. :) We took today off and did a little shopping. Then we had lunch and came home for a much needed nap. Supper tonite was roast beef hash made up of leftovers. Dessert was a big bowl of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Oh so good. Good to hear from you, Elaine. I missed you. Sweet dreams for all of us.
