Morning! I woke at 3 this morning, rolled over, but couldn't fall back to sleep so I got up. It still very muggy out, but we kept the AC on dehumidify setting so it's fine in the house. Last night's Chicken and Spinach Pasta Salad that we had was delicious especially the hummus salad dressing. I cut the recipe down to serve 2 and I made composed salads instead of dumping all in a big bowl. I didn't have rotini pasta so used spaghetti snapped in two. I'd say it's a keeper! I'm going to help mom make some apricot/pineapple jam today. She has a hankering for my nana's recipe. I picked up the ingredients the other day and found that one box of apricots was way past expiration so had to exchange it. Tonight we are finishing DH's moose burger pie. I'll make a salad to go with it. No other plans so should be able to check in a chat later! Enjoy the day! Waving!

Ann, yay for getting a Chick-Fil-A! We sure do love it down here. My favorite is the original chicken sandwich and waffle fries, with lemonade. Good stuff.
We had a nice dinner at home last night of BBQ chicken thighs, and "clean out the refrigerator" sides -- corn, green beans, and green grapes. Not sure what we'll do tonight but I may have enough pulled pork left from Sunday to make a couple of sandwiches.

I have showered and ready to go to Council Bluffs, thank you Red!! My early alarm clock. Told Gloria I would be there at 9:30 to pick her up. I also had my Cherrios and toast with my excellent strawberry/rhubarb jam. It tastes so good.
I got all my things done in town yesterday then Mitch the auctioneer called and wanted me to go back to release papers on Dad's farm for buyers. I called them and a phone call did the trick. Kate (lawyer) and I had a good visit. So think things are in order there. So many things to be taken care of. Kate said you poor girl. I said I knew I would have to do all this but did not think at the same time. She is good and helping me out too.
Will get what I need in CB and be back home shortly after lunch. I can not shop all day anymore. Need few things and back home. We are having a dinner at church for the Interim Pastor we have had at church. Our Pastor starts August 1st. Will be nice to have a full time Pastor again. So needing a few things from Sam's that I want to take to church.
You all have a nice a day will see you all later!

Good afternoon friends.
Ann, thanks for starting us off today. Congratulations on the coming of your Chick-Fil-A. As Elza said, they are very popular down here. In fact just today our company asked to have lunch there so that's what we did. Please let me know what you think of the place after you've been there, but I think you're going to like it.
Sorry, but this is going to be a short and quick post---we are ready to drive over to Disney for dinner. Going to be a very late night. Everyone seems to want something different--Bar-B-Q, seafood, steaks, so not sure where we'll end up this evening, but hopefully by the time we drive there we'll all be on the same page.
Waving to all. Lori

We had salmon, corn on the cob, and sliced tomatoes for supper. We got a lot done today even with going out for more boxes. It's getting harder now with lots of Hubby stuff. I miss him more than I can say. Sweet dreams.

Hello, We just finished eating a bowl of beans with cornbread. I have about 30 minutes before I go play cards.
I went to a ladies house for lunch today. She invited several others-some neighbors and some from church. She served chef's salads, bread, hummus with pita chips, then a layered lemon dessert. It was all very good, then we watched one of her favorite movies-A One hundred Foot Journey. It starred Helen Mirren and was very good also.
Nothing else going on here, still hot, and not quite as humid.
Sorry you are having a difficult time Helen. Hugs to you.
