Good morning everyone and welcome to a new week - where does the time go 🙄?
Hubby will head to the golf course this morning but I will stay at home and make some Christmas marmalade instead (for our Festival of Trees). It is a mix of oranges and cherries and not only are cherries in season, they are also on sale this week AND they are lovely!
Don't think that I will want to do much cooking later in the day so we'll have salad of some sort tonight.
Have a marvellous Monday 😎

Oh my goodness, Tasty, that marmalade sounds wonderful! I've been enjoying cherries lately, since they are on sale here too.
I got out the last pan of lasagna from my freezer yesterday. It's thawing in the refrigerator for dinner tonight. DH, DMIL & DSIL should be here by the time I get home from work.

Good morning friends.
Thanks for starting us off Tasty. Cherries are on sale here this week for $1.88lb.
(((Lori & Family))) I didn't get a chance to get on here the last few days but went back and read about your DD. Very sorry to hear that she lost the baby. Sending all of you hugs and praying.
Friday we ordered pizza for youngest DD sleep over. Saturday we had cheeseburgers and homemade potato salad. Yesterday I made chicken francaise over linguine and my friend Joan ate with us. Also made a tomato mozzarella salad as an appetizer and a fruit salad for after dinner.
Tonight I'm going to grill a pork tenderloin, Larry's potatoes and string beans.
Youngest DD started softball camp today.
Enjoy your day.
Nancy

As soon as the grass dries I will be mowing. Chuck was here and cleaned out underneath my lawn mower yesterday. I bought a sprinkler and going to put under it after I mow and see if that won't get the grass out?? It stinks so bad when cleaning it out. Next mower I get I hope the front will lift up to clean out.
Red has been out twice and now ready for his nap. He has to be right beside me cleaning himself up after eating. He has been good about coming in at night but is a berry of waking me up anymore. I let him out and go back to bed. Who needs to be up at 4:30? Not me! I did that too many years.
Going to take out a bag of Zucchini and make a breakfast casserole for Chuck. Was going to do before going to bed and forgot. Has hash browns and bacon and eggs in it. I did get couple pkgs. of hamburger so need to make something with it also. He just brought me two stacks of my dishes back yesterday.
Tasty your Marmalade sounds good! I am sure it will sell fast. I need to make some Rhubarb and Strawberry jelly for one of the friends. I usually send some with them when they go to Canada. That time is getting close for them.

Good morning.
It's very cloudy here this morning. We have hot and humid weather back tomorrow.
Dinner will be baked spaghetti, salad and a veggie. DS and DDIL will be over for dinner. I have an appt. this afternoon for the crown over the root canal. Need to get the temp. done before I leave tomorrow for the week.
I have a few errands this morning. DH is staying here while I am gone with DDs and I asked him last night what he wanted me to get for his meals while we are away. He said canned soup. LOL. I said you can cook. He said he forgets how. He was a fully functioning man when we met and married. Had a condo with a kitchen and he cooked. LOL He says it's been too long and he forgets how to cook. My goodness....
Nancy, all your meals sound yummy.
Have a great day.

Hello friends. Today is Fresh Spinach Day and National Corn Fritters Day.
Tasty, that marmalade sounds so good. Is it a big/fast seller? I bet it is! Hard to believe you'll be celebrating another Festival of Trees in just a few months! Thanks for starting us off today.
Elza, lasagna should be a welcomed dinner this evening by your family. So happy that your DH was able to take his DM to see her brother--I hope her visit was comforting and able to lift his spirits.
Nancy thanks for your hugs and prayers. Hope your youngest DD enjoys her softball camp.
Marlene, I can't believe you're mowing again. I know the heat and rain makes it grow so fast (I feel like that's all we do is mow too), but just wondering, just how much land do you have to mow? I'm right there with you on the smell of that grass on the underside of the mower-yuk. I hope the sprinkler is a help with getting it out--DH uses the garden hose and to me it does seem to help in flushing it out.
Betsy, I must have missed it someplace, but didn't realize you were leaving (for vacation) for a week. Loved how your DH "forgot" how to cook--too cute! Hope you and DD's have fun. My DSIL and her DH in Tucson are suppose to be headed to San Diego to their time share either this weekend or next--they look forward to their one week and just love the time they spend there.
Took myself over to Tropical Smoothie Cafe for a Thai chicken salad bowl. I had never been to the place since the closes one is about 12 miles from the house, but decided to give it a try. My niece back in Michigan has been talking about it for weeks now, so she got me hungry for it. Hit the spot and not too spicy. Afterwards I stopped at one of the Mall's and walked through the place. It was like a ghost town now that so many of the stores have left.
They say we could see some stronger storms move through the area yet this afternoon/early evening. Sure hope so as everything is so dry.
Making dinner as I sit here--One Skillet Roasted Red Pepper Chicken. I'll serve that over some pasta.
Waving to all. Lori

Lori, I think the name will sell it as everywhere is decorated for Christmas, inc. Santa Claus for the Festival of Trees. It is a new recipe I came across a few days ago and it certainly tastes good. I only made a dozen jars so I'm sure it will all go.
Rhubarb strawberry jelly sounds delicious Marlene.
So glad that hubby managed to take his mother and sister to visit her brother. I'm sure they will enjoy the lasagne. A handy thing to have waiting in the freezer.
Hope DD enjoys her camp this week Nancy.
Had to chuckle at your hubby's response about his present day abilities to cook Betsy. I'm sure he'll survive quite well.
Rather than spending time working outside this afternoon, I took myself to the basement to clean out one freezer, still need to do the second one.

Hello ! Popping in to say hi before I finish laundry and start supper. We are having Mexican lasagna (a new recipe).
There are a few things I could get from the store but I probably won't make it by there today. With any luck I can stay home all day.
Nancy, what are Larry's potatoes? I never met a potato I didn't love!
DH came in this morning and told me that the stray cat I adopted awhile back has been going potty in all the neighbors yards, so I have to find her a new home. I can't blame them for not liking that! I have sent a few messages to people I know around the area.
Hope it's a good day where you are friends!

Afternoon, friends! Muggy ugly today. Bought some swordfish to grill for supper and will have it with my last challenge recipe that I made using the Spicy Chocolate Cinnamon Cane Sugar blend. I made a citrus salad dressing with sour cream, orange juice concentrate, white wine vinegar, orange zest, and the blend. After it sat a bit...tastes pretty good! Will drizzle it over a salad of escarole, kale, red onion, and orange segments. Waving to everyone. I may not get on tomorrow, but will be back Wednesday.

DD will arrive tomorrow to begin prep for the big move. Not looking forward to it but it will help to have her here. I had roasted potatoes, roasted onions, and an ear of corn for supper. I suspect we'll have lots of roasted veggies as she and I both love them. I'll be wheeling out the garbage bin shortly and then bedtime. Sweet dreams.
