Good morning friends. Several celebrations today: National Blueberry Muffin Day, National Mojito Day, and also 7-11 Day. That last one means that today, between the hours of 11AM and 7PM, you can get a free slurpee as they celebrate their 90th birthday. Once very popular, we have just a handful of 7-11 stores left around the city, nothing too close to me.
Going to go over to the Amish Farm Market this morning, then dropping off a book at the library, and finally on to the post office.
Chris, I think the "action" picture of you is great!
I will be back later.

Good morning ~ Was nice to see you yesterday Chris. You have a job that I am sure not too many want but know you are doing a great thing for others. Bless your heart!!
Going to go get a pedicure and a manicure today. Usually I never do the manicures but decided I wanted to pamper myself today. Appt. is at 2:30. Might go to another town for their Farmers Market and see what they have.
That would be great Helen to meet up with you when you move to Dallas. When that will be is the question. I have wanted to put Red in kennel and go but have not had the heart to do it. Wish you all the good luck in your packing and getting ready to move. I know it has to seem like a big job for you but will be so nice to be close to daughter. My daughter is telling me same thing but would need my own place. I could never live with the kids as I need my space too. Just not fond of traffic there.

Good morning.
Last day of the humidity for us. Should be better weather for the weekend.
Lori, thank you for starting us. I love blueberry muffins. I will see if I have an blueberries and if I do I will make some.
Marlene, enjoy your nail appt. today. It's nice to get a manicure as well as a pedicure. They do a better job than I can do on my hands.
Nancy, are you going to Cape May this summer?
I may make shrimp tonight for dinner. I also have leftovers if I feel lazy.
Waving to all. Betsy

Good Morning ! I am actually here in the morning for a change. I got a text from DH as I was drying off after a shower. He needed me to run with him in to town. He had to drop off one of the vans at the garage, so he needed a ride home. All the other vehicles were in use. When I got home I mixed up some tuna salad. He usually comes for lunch at 11:30 but he just left and said he was going to mow for an hour then would be home about noon.
I have no plans today except to bake brownies and take those to the coffee shop. I might make something else too. The butter and chocolate mixture is cooling off right now. I noticed all the biscotti is gone, but I don't have that kind of time today to make more.
No cooking tonight around here as we are going out to eat. We are taking Lisa out for her birthday.
I know we don't have any 7-11's here in town. There is probably one in Houston somewhere.
So glad all the boys and their coach got rescued form the cave. Now to pray that they all recover with full health again. Have a very good day!

Ann, your salmon recipe idea sounds yummy. Let us know how it turns out.
I ran to Home Depot with dd to get a key made and we bought some flowers. The hot weather sure is taking a toll on the flowers. We replaced the hanging plant that had been taken over by moths. Not good.
Hope it's cooling off where you are.

Afternoon! Just got home from taking my mom for her cortisone shot in her knee and up to Manchester, NH to see our cousin who had a knee replacement. I brought her some food from my freezer (ahha...devious way to empty it!!!)and from our local Lebanese bakery. No news to report. So far for the salmon, I've mixed the dill pesto with the yogurt and finely diced Persian cucumber...yum! Will be back tomorrow. Waving!

Hi all. Have had a couple more nibbles on the house. We'll see. DD is coming in a week or so to begin helping me with sorting and packing. Some things I haven't been able to face yet. That will be hard. I agree, Marlene, on wanting a place for myself. If those tiny houses were a reality, I'd have one in a New York minute. I want something small and cozy and not too far from the kids. Consider it a date to get together once everything falls into place. Maybe Tammy could come to Dallas at the same time? Wouldn't that be fun! Supper tonite will be a doctored-up pizza when I get to it. Need to go to the store for some fresh fruit and veggies tomorrow. I'm just about all out. Sweet dreams.

Hello again.
Was looking in my walk-in closet for a purse this afternoon and I scraped my left lower leg on a plastic container sitting on the floor. Guess the plastic was sharper then I thought as it actually broke open the skin in a few places. Didn't even realize it at the time, but when I took a shower and the water ran over me, ouch! Going to get off my legs and prop that left one up.
Also went this afternoon to get my eyebrows done. Don't like to admit it, but the eyes just aren't what they use to be.
The rain came earlier today--dinner time just as we put the flounder packet on the grill. Had some mixed veggies from the freezer with it.
Waving to all and wishing you a peaceful and relaxing evening.
Lori

Not an especially busy day today, until the late afternoon when the crazy came out. Spent too long trying to explain to a customer why we have to send her a bank statement, why we can't block out the account number on her statement, why we can't hold her statements for a few months and send them to her later -- I think she really thought we printed and mailed them ourselves. And a few other interesting encounters. Also today, had the techs there to fix the drive-through (2 of 3 lanes not working), the security crew installing new cameras and monitors, and our regular maintenance guy to ask me what else needed doing. After that, and then choir practice, I am exhausted. DH & I went to Chick Fil A for dinner and now I'm about ready to crash.
Lori, we have a 7-11 very close to us -- if I'd known I could have stopped on the way home! Oh well. Life will go on -- besides, I already had a Frosty this afternoon. :)

Good evening friends!
Been a day! LOL Had an unscheduled housing meeting as one of my coworkers told people I would do one but did not tell me I was doing one. Sheesh! Well the guy who was there went off on me yelling at me that he was "disengaging now" and then proceeded to yell that he didn't trust "your type of agencies" and then "you don't know anything" and stormed out! LOL I just told him that's okay and went on with the meeting, as there were 2 others there. I later told my colleagues that I was "disengaging" from my work! LOL
Lori- My son's girlfriend brought me 2 blueberry muffins for my lunch today! Tasted so good! Hope your leg is better.
Marlene- That would be cool if you and Helen and Tammy could meet up in Dallas! I would even think of flying in just to add to the fun!
Nancy- I think I look more like I am challenging the Congressman to a duel! LOL But thanks! How were the wings? Did you make your own?
Betsy- Our humidity has dropped her this week and it feels so nice. I think I will go pick raspberries as it is cool enough and mine are coming in fast and furious!
Tammy- We have no 7-11's around us at all. I have no idea where the closest one would even be. Maybe NY somewhere. LOL
Ann- LOL at you for "emptying" your fridge! LOL Good for you!
Helen- I hope you can get a good bite on the house. Wonderful your DD is coming to help you. Hugs as you go through this! I will hold you close in my heart while you go through all of this!
Elza- Didn't you wonder if it was a full moon today! LOL
DH an DS have been fishing all day! Lucky Ducks!
Hope you all have a good night!
Chris

I'm in!! I would be more than happy to come to Dallas and meet up.
Our dinner was just wonderful. I got the large chicken fried steak, so DH has lots left for lunch tomorrow. The other both got rib eye steaks.
Going to go and do some cross stitch now. Sweet dreams!
