Those look great Bet! I will have one too! No Two! "goulash" here is what I would call American chop souy. Elbow macaroni, spaghetti sauce, scrambled hamburg (cooked) onions and green peppers.
Chris (anxiously awaiting her ice cream sandwich!) What is taking Bet so long????

Chris, that is what we call goulash also. Not spaghetti sauce but tomatoes with seasoning.
It is almost bed time so time for an ice sandwich. The ice cream in them is what I could call ice milk. No eggs.

Bet, those look great! I probably will have to wait even longer than Chris for my delivery. 😢
Finishing up the laundry and getting ready to start packing. If I was a better person I would have cleaned bathrooms tonight ... but I'm not. Life will go on.
We had a good talk with DS#1 tonight. He is home from his trip and was ready to tell us about his adventures -- mainly getting back home from the airport! On the way out, he met a friend in Indianapolis and DS left his car there, at the rectory of a priest who is I think his friend's cousin. The friend drove them to Chicago which is where they were flying out of. So on the way home, he & friend got back to Indy to find that DS's car was not there and the back door of the rectory was wide open. (The priest was away at a retreat.) They went inside, thinking maybe the housekeeper was there, but found that the keys to DS's car were gone, and so was the TV and some other things. They got out, went to the parish office, and called the police. The good news is that DS's car was found just about a block away, although the keys were missing. AAA towed the car to a dealership where he got a key made and was able to get on his way -- much later than planned, but very glad to have his car back.
All right, I'm tired but I need to get busy so we can get on our way first thing in the morning.

Hi ! It was a good day in Houston. I left at 8:15 and got to the salon at 9:50. After my hair cut I got gas. It was $2.58 at the Walmart here. I paid $2.50 a gallon at the Walmart in Pearland near the salon. I went to Debbies house, then after a short visit we went to a tea room for lunch. It is in a suburb of Houston, on the east side. A lady bought a piece of property in an older part of town. She turned the house into a tea room, also she has purchased property next door to the house, she has some cabins moved in for rent nightly, there is an old chapel she moved in and she also built a new building which is an event center. There are a few more buildings near the chapel, so it looks like an old fashioned western town. I had the quiche and salad for my lunch. We also stopped at Michaels and shopped. Back to Debbie's then I said good bye and headed north. I stopped at Half Price Books, called DH and asked if he wanted to grill or should I bring something home. He opted for Long John Silvers.
Tomorrow evening we are taking Lisa out to dinner. We want to thank her for feeding the cat while we were away. We are going over to Liberty ,about 40 minutes away. It is a place we have been to a couple times before. it is called Ann's seafood, but they offer chicken and pork chops also. Hope I don't forget how to cook!
The rain is finally gone! So nice to see the sun. I did enjoy the slightly cooler temps, though.
Waving to everyone. I'll close for now and check in tomorrow.

Just talked to DD and they are about home in Forney so they had a good trip. I was concerned so I called her and she called me back. I did get my lawn mowed and it poured down after I got in the house. Red is outside under the golf cart.
Will get the pj's on and Marge wants to go out for breakfast.
