Happy Friday, y'all! Expecting a busy day at work -- as usual -- and a hot one. in the 90s today and through the weekend.
No cooking for me tonight, unless you count turning on the oven to heat up a frozen pizza. DH will be out of town for a meeting and then is going to spend the night with his mom, since he'll be more than halfway to Summerville. So I will probably just crash in front of the TV after I get home.
Talk to you later ~

I got a call at 3:30 that MIL passed away. So now will get with the kids to decide when we will have the funeral. Thanks for being here for me and thinking and praying for my family. You all are the best anybody could ever have to share everything with. Now will be time to finish all the other things I need to do.
Thank you! Marlene

Marlene, I am so sorry for your loss. She is at peace now. I will be praying for you as you face busy days ahead.
I woke up very early and needed to bake cookies, so I did that. I will put together a no bake orange cheesecake pie when I get home from working at the resale shop.
Our dinner last night was fabulous! I ordered the wagu sirloin steak. I have never eaten wagu before and it was just awesome. DH got the pepper encrusted filet. We both got salads and baked potatoes. dessert was fried bread pudding for him and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. The price on the wagu was $30.00 which I thought was good. Other places that I have seen it on the menu it was closer to 100.00.
I have a pork roast I will cook for supper tonight. Either mashed potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes.
Need to go and finish getting ready.

Good morning all.
Marlene, I am sorry for your loss. What a wonderful daughter in law you have been. Big hugs to you and your family.
It's a cloudy start here. I am going to head out and run with the dogs. Bug man comes later to spray outside. We are watching ds and dsil puppy today. I would like to get Costco at some point to restock.
Really like the new fridge so far. It's counter depth so it's a lot small than the Samsung. I have another fridge in the garage. But, I will be replacing that one. It's 24 years old and I am worried it will die soon.
Not sure what dinner will be. Hopefully, I can get to Costco and get something.
Waving to all. Betsy

Good morning. 52 and a light drizzle now but we did get another 1/10 of an inch sometime during the night. Yesterday I sat in front of this computer from about 10 AM until 6:30 working on Lions and I still have 8 reports to get into International before the 28th. I think my body hurt more last night then it does when I spend the day outside working in gardens. Tomorrow is the Club's annual Father's Day Golf Tournament so I have to be at the golf course at at 7:30 and probably won't get done until around 4. Of course it is suppose to be a nice day to spend outside working but that won't be happening. Haven't a clue what I will get into today. At the moment my mind if fried from yesterday so doubt those reports are going to get done. I also doubt it will dry up enough to do much in the gardens. Maybe when it warms up a little I will go play in the greenhouse. That sounds appealing. I do have to go to town to get mail today as my asparagus roots are coming today. They have been in transit since the 9th so am sure they would like to get out of the package. While I am there it would be a good idea to also make a dump run.
Marlene, so sorry to read of your loss. Just find comfort in the fact that she is at peace. Will be thinking of you as you go through these trying time and especially busy times.
Tammy, sounds like you had a wonderful dinner. What a great price on the steak. A regular steak around here would be at least $30.
Nancy, so sort of had to chuckle when you said that today was your youngest DD's last day in 4th grade. Both my DGD and DGGS or just finishing 3rd grade. What a diverse group we are.
Have a great day.
Bet

G'day, friends! Marlene - Sorry to read of you MIL's passing. Saying prayers and sending you hugs. Be comforted; you were an outstanding and loving DIL. Nancy - Haven't been to the Vineyard in decades, but I liked my visits. It's closer to the mainland so you could branch out if you so desired. I'm sure you've read quite a bit about it, but, just in case, here's a link. Tammy - Yum on your dinner! Never had Wagu steak, but I love steak au poive! Betsy - We have a cellar fridge; I pray that it doesn't conk out. We were assured by our family run appliance store that they could deliver a new one within 24 hours so that is reassuring to me. Elza - What's your favorite frozen pizza? Ours is Trader Joe's Tarte d'Alsace, but the Dr. Oetker Virtuoso & Ristorante ones from Germany are really good, too. I like the mushroom and the spinach ones especially. I just got a fun-to-read article from Yankee Magazine in an email about New England's 5 favorite flavors of ice cream. My favorite vanilla with jimmies is not on the list!!! But I do like Frozen Pudding, too! The other 4 flavors were coffee, black raspberry, maple walnut, and grapenut! Tonight we are finishing the fish in crazy water with rice and steamed broccoli. Enjoy the day, all!

We left early this morning for golf and by the time we picked up a few things on the way home, it was 4.30 by the time we got back. The weather has been glorious - high 70s and low humidity 😊 the game not so much altho one of the ladies I played with had a fabulous game - nice to watch!
I will take some of this week's meatloaf and make taco salad for supper. One of our stops on the way home was the farmstand and the first of the local strawberries 😊

Ann, my pizza tonight was DiGiorno Thin & Crispy Spinach and Garlic. This was the first time I'd tried this particular brand, but I liked it a lot.
