I did get to the library today finally. I gave back four books and kept one as I simply could not read them all in a couple weeks. I have a lot going on here with repairmen and whatnot. It's always something, isn't it. I've decided on a frozen pizza tweaked to my taste for supper.
Marlene, hugs to you my friend.
Happy Anniversary, Tammy and Dave. May you have many more years of happiness together.

Marlene- It was a spider bit as far as we can tell. I had an allergic reaction to it. Hugs to you as you go through this with MIL.
Happy Anniversary Tammy and Dave! Have a great time out!

Chris I hope you are feeling better today. No matter how careful a person is if you are allergic to anything it is tough. I got my lawn mower back after I got blunt with them (kinda) I think they took a belt off a new one as after a week no belt. Amazon is two day service?? they told me I would have Monday or Tuesday so I called them again on Tuesday. GRRR. So when I put it away they had taken the carpet mat I had on the base to put my bare feet on after I kick off the flip flops as you want even tan??? So anyway picked up the carpet there was a good size bull snake under it. I just went ewww and left it be. Called dear Chuck and he was coming over to measure for my bridge he is going to make for me to get my mail easy as I have a pretty deep ditch out front the water goes to the creek. So he took care of it for me. Marge told me she would have been on roof of my garage!!
Got my top butt cut into Top Sirloin Steaks got 12 nice steaks and a roast that I put in oven and stew in small crockpot. I always make the steaks seamless as the roast I take off is going the wrong way for the steak. It makes a delicious roast. To cut a top butt without taking off the roast is an "A" top Sirloin and the way I do it they are "B" top sirloin. I know that does not make a difference to anyone here but makes a much better steak, no seams or grizzle. We always had a meat buyers guide book (they are expensive) and it tells you all the difference. When I was on the road selling lots of people were interested in this book. That is my speel !!!
Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts. MIL looks so helpless laying there. Makes me sad. I hope she has no pain left. Have not heard from Hospice nurse yet.
Tammy hope you and Dave have a wonderful meal at the steakhouse. Happy 49th Anniversary!! How far are you from Forney, Texas?

Marlene, it took right at 4 hours to get to Dallas. Siri just told me that it is 3 hours and 28 minutes. We heard from family that visited my MIL that the last few days she was like your MIL. Pretty much unresponsive to anything. Glad someone was able to take care of the snake for you.
Just got home from the store so better get something done in the kitchen before DH comes in.
Thanks for the good wishes for us!

Happy Anniversary, Tammy & DH! Enjoy your dinner. Any big plans for your 50th next year? Marlene, (((hugs))) to you. I hope you can sit down and enjoy a meal tonight. You have to take care of the caregiver. Nancy, so glad you are off for the summer. I know you and the girls will enjoy it. Betsy, I'm with everybody else on the mouse. Yuck! They are cute in cartoons but nasty in real life! Birdy, oh my goodness, what a mess that kitchen must have been! Chris, very glad to hear your arm is better. Whatever bit you, I hope it stays away from you. Bet, your "not much" sounds like a lot to me. Tasty, enjoy your dinner, whatever you decide on. Ann, no humidity sounds great. That doesn't happen often in SC! Well, I was typing when the oven timer went off so I hopped up and ended up sitting down to dinner with DH before I got back here! Marie Callender made us lasagna and it was good. ETA a wave to Helen!

Good evening friends. Today, Flag Day is also National Strawberry Shortcake Day.
A very Happy 49th Tammy and Dave--bless you both with happiness now and in the coming years. I hope you have a lovely dinner out together this evening. Today would have been my parents 64th anniversary.
(((Marlene))), you've been through so, so much during the years--I don't know what to say to you anymore except that I am thinking of you. I hope you got a chance to have a nice meal tonight.
(((Chris))), I am happy that you are doing better! Spider bites can be very bad. The husband of one of my friends got a bite many years back at Disney, probably at the camp grounds there where they were staying. Anyway, I remember how nasty his leg looked and how it turned black before it healed. It took months and months before it looked like a normal leg. Currently we are having a problem this summer with tick bites and there has been an increase of cases state wide.
Tasty, I posted a recipe for you as requested for meatloaf.
Ann, I also posted the recipe you wanted. Not sure if you saw it, I think it is on the Tuesday post.
Nancy, please enjoy your time off this summer. How nice that you were able to go and help today with DD's school activities.
Helen, I hope the library book you kept today will give you hours of happy reading. If you care too, stop by the What Are You Reading? post in the Garden Chat and tell us about it and see what others are reading.
Betsy, not a mouse fan either--yuk! I saw a white one run along our fence recently due to the apartment construction across the street. I screamed so loud my neighbor flew out the door thinking I had been hurt--he just laughed saying, "this is Florida--we have lots of "wildlife" down here."
Bet, hope you got to work today on your greenhouse.
Elza, so glad that Marie was able to cook you dinner tonight! I will go now and warm up some leftovers for our dinner. DH just finished mowing, weed wacking, etc. our lawn this evening. He cut it this past Saturday, but the way it has grown, it looked like it hadn't been cut in several weeks.
Waving to all. Goodnight friends.
