Good morning friends.
Another lovely day ahead - sunny and warm (not hot)! Hubby and I are both golfing this morning. My plan afterwards is to grocery shop while hubby is going to a golf clinic being put on by the club.
I have beef here to make a meatloaf for supper, maybe mashed potatoes and broccoli with it.
Thinking of you today Tammy. Sounds like you've had some good family time over the weekend.
Have a great day 😉

Good morning, everyone.
Tasty, sounds like a good day ahead!
I have chicken thighs and BBQ sauce in the crockpot for tonight's dinner, so that is ready to go.
Did anybody watch Food Network Star last night? I still enjoy it, although I still miss Alton Brown! I can only say that I completely agreed with the first person to be sent home. That one was whackadoodle.

Good morning friends.
(((Tammy & Dave)))
Elza, I didn't get to watch TNFNS as we had friends over for dinner. What did you think of the movie Oceans 8?
Friday night we had Thai food.
Saturday it was my nephew and his wife's baby gender reveal party. It was in a nice park under a pavilion. The food was catered by Famous Dave's. I made cake pops for dessert. Turns out they are expecting a baby girl late October. Her name will be Ava Rose.
For dinner Saturday night we ordered pizza, mussels and a sausage Stromboli.
Yesterday it was Thanksgiving here. I had a turkey breast in the freezer and wanted to free up some space. Also had a half tray of eggplant parm in the freezer and a spiral ham in the basement fridge. We invited friends over to join us for dinner. We also had sweet potatoes with marshmallows, stuffed mushrooms, mashed potatoes, string beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing and dinner rolls. One friend brought a pumpkin pie and the other a cherry pie. The weather was perfect! It was 70*, cloudy and cool.
Steak for dinner tonight.
Enjoy your day.
Nancy

Nancy, I really enjoyed Ocean's Eight. The cast was great and it was just a fun, entertaining, summer movie. I love the name your nephew & his wife picked for their baby. So pretty.

Good morning. 45 this morning and sunny. Tomorrow morning is to be in the 40's again and then I think we will put the 40's behind us. Even though I got the big garden finally tilled yesterday, I didn't get the tomato plants in. I had a lot of baskets to get watered and deadheaded. They I did quite a bit of weed eating and spray quite a few areas to kill the weed. Got the lawn mowed and by the time that was done the sun was off the garden but I was just too tired to dig holes to plant tomatoes. We could use some rain. We are to get showers Wednesday but that is about it. I had to water the tomatoes in the kitchen garden yesterday even though we had 1" of rain less than a week ago. I have Annabelle this morning for at least part of the day so not sure just what I will get done. This morning if it warms up enough for her we will go out on the deck and I will get more baskets put together. Hopefully she will leave early enough that I can get the tomato plants in the ground sun or no sun. The reason I didn't do them yesterday in the sun they had gotten quite dry in the greenhouse. I soaked them good so they should be fine. Late this afternoon if DGD is home I would like to get down to her house to look at some old stockade fencing that she tore down to see if I can recycle it into some sort of fence to tie the glads to. Of course it would be nice if I first got the glads planted.
I fell asleep before NFNS came on but fortunately Playstation Vue has a DVR on the cloud so will get to watch it before next week.
Have a great day.

Good Morning ! All my kids made it here safely yesterday. We have seen 2 of the 3, the youngest did not arrive until close to 10, so we'll see them in just a little while. they are coming by the house first. I think everyone else, we will just see at the church at noon for dinner.
No other news from me. After the dinner is the service at 2, then we will all head to the cemetery for the graveside service. I guess then back here to the house.
I hope everyone enjoys their day. Waving to all. Thanks again for all the nice thoughts, and the prayers.

Tammy sounds like your family will all be together today. Is a shame it always happens at funerals too. That is when I see all my family and cousins. Hope you have a good day weather wise also. We had having thunder storms off and on today. Will be more after three.
I had thawed a pkg. of liver (neighbor brought over three pkgs.) in the little crock pot. Put bacon and onion with it and when it is cooked will grind it up and put mayo and seasoning with it for a pate w/crackers. I have friend that loves this just like I do! Most people would not like it. Usually I bake it but thought I would try this in my little crock pot. I always put all kinds of different meat with it also but have anything in meat in fridge.
I need to take out some chicken and be making some dishes with it also. Also have new apple cake I want to make too. Just need to get in gear!! I guess I have been kind of lazy on the cooking lately. Just been having whatever sounded good!!
We are getting rain again. We got 1.9" yesterday.

Hello all.
It's cloudy here this morning. But, should burn off soon. The girls and I have a lunch date with my bff and her kids. Her son graduated last week with my daughter but we both had plans after. After lunch I have some errands to run. Trying to us up what I have in fridge/freezer until the new one arrives Thursday.
Tasty, enjoy golfing today. Thank you for starting us.
Nancy, congrats on the new baby. Pretty name. Ava was on the list of names we had for our youngest. I love it.
(((Tammy)))
Marlene, hope the stops for a bit.
Have a great day. Betsy

Afternoon! It's a beautiful day...warm, light breeze.... Ugly summer is coming so I will enjoy today and tomorrow! Tonight we are having roasted garlic 2x baked potatoes (only added 1% milk to mash smooth), grilled sausage, and sautéed cabbage and onions. [We'll get the fat calories not used in the spuds in the cabbage cuz I plan on adding a big dollop of bacon fat to the frying pan!!!! LOL I just made a quart of fermented sliced jalapenos using one of the fermenting caps. Will take 4-7 days to finish. Also ran off a recipe for fermented giardiniera. Tasty - Thanks for opening! Love meatloaf! Nancy - Love that name, too! Love having another thanksgiving, too. Chris - Good that you will have closure. Hugs! Marlene - I'll stand in line for some of that paté! Yummy! Betsy - I know you presently have a Samsung...what kind of refrigerator will you be getting? I have 3 lazy Susans in mine that I have to spin and remove some old condiments! Tammy - Glad that you are with family at this time. Bet - I still have three perennial pots to replant. Hopefully DH will be able to help me tomorrow. He's better at digging since he is taller and stronger. Mom just got home from her adventures with her friend Joan. I forgot all about her laundry that is in the dryer, and I have to make her bed up with her summer sheets. Best get a wiggle on!!! Waving!

Hugs to you Tammy and Dave. Glad you family got there safe.
Tasty- I hope you had a good game this morning.
Nancy- I love the name Ava!. I have 2 friends who named their girls Ava Rose. Cool!
Elza- I am going to see Ocean's 8 this week end. after my Mom's service.
Betsy- Hope you had a good lunch with your friend! You must be so proud of your girls!
Bet- What fun with Annabelle today! I bet she keeps you feeling young!
Marlene- I am right there behind Ann for the pate! I love liver pate!
Ann- I will not push you out of the line getting the pate! (fingers crossed) Honest! LOL
I felt like today was a bust as far as getting anything done at work. Why does the government make everything so complicated???
I need to go see the Dr. My feet have been puffing up lately and I don't know why. Bugs me.

Had just about finished typing up my post and it flew off into the air someplace--UGH!! Sorry just too tired to retype it all once again.
It was another busy day for me, lots of errands to run and then work to do around the house when I finally got home.
(((Tammy and Dave)))
(((Chris)))
Dinner was grilled flounder and orzo with lemon, asparagus, and peas.
Sweet dreams friends--waving to all!

What a great price for red peppers! I have done Italian sausages with peppers and onions, or left over roast beef is good too. I'll bet thinly thinly sliced chicken breast would be really good too. All served in a nice fresh bun! I've just finished supper but this is making me hungry 🙄

I like peppers and onions with sausage and cheese. Sometimes I also sauté seeded zucchini, peppers, and onions. Instead of meat, I sometimes add a can of white or dark red kidney beans. We like deconstructed sandwiches...for us not as "sloppy". I serve the filling in a bowl with toasted garlic & cheese bread to sop up the juices.
