Good morning. It was 49 here again this morning but a nice sunny morning. Yesterday I spent most of the day working on finances. Not my idea of a good day. A good portion was phone calls looking for a good price on fuel oil for next winter. Since I got a $700 from last winter even though I was on a budget plan it was time to shop, which I do every year. Today I have a birthday party for a friend who turned 90 in December and I also have to go see Natalie and deliver her birthday present. However before I do all that I am going outside and get something done even if it is wrong. This is what you call a big brother very proud to show off his baby sister. Last week Cameron had to do a 5 minute oral presentation about his family and himself. It was done with a presentation that I believe he did with a power point program. He did a fantastic job. DD videoed it so I got to see it. However, I thinks this was the best picture him with Annabelle in front of the students and parents.
Have a great Day. Bet

Bet, that is adorable! You have to be so proud of both of them. What a sweet big brother. Enjoy spending some time outside this morning.
DH & I just got up and I am on my 2nd cup of coffee. Publix breakfast bread in the toaster. Pretty good morning so far.
We had such a good time at the movies last night! I love a heist movie and Ocean's Eight was just a lot of fun.
On the agenda for today: laundry, a bit of housecleaning, some shopping, and hopefully a ball game later.
Saturday waves to everyone who stops by ~

Just done my laundry and bedding, bed is made and laundry folded and put away so all done w/that for a few days. Terry is bringing his lawn mower ( my old one) back for me to use today. They did not have a belt to fix mine??? Will be Monday or Tuesday?? Maybe the next mower will be something different from another place. It does not take that long to get a belt delivered unless they did not order it right away. Amazon is next day or two days!! I better chill out!!
Bet what a darling picture of your grandkids!! He loves his sister too! Aren't the grand kids great. I sure think so. I even have a great grandson.
I sat while clothes were getting done and sorted all my old coins and some my FIL had. Sorted three ways so all of my three kids got the same. Divided everything three ways and they each got there's in tobacco cans which I had saved from my DH. So many silver dollars, half dollars, wheat pennies, quarters and 2$ bills. So happy it came out even for all. Now they can store it or do whatever with it. I had to go get into bank box yesterday to get the deed for my lawyer so she has it for the farm sale.
Need to do some cooking but have not been in the mood to do any. Told Chuck I better get busy and make him some food if I want my mower cleaned out every month. He laughed at that. He was just working on another casserole I made for him. There just has been to many things to do this week.
We have breakfast at Church tomorrow and listen to a pastor who is interested in coming out here. So that will be interesting. Deacons are making casseroles and cinnamon rolls.
Just got the news that the guy I have bought my flooring from and had him and his wife and Mark out here for supper, lost a brother who committed suicide and funeral is today. So sent card and memorial to Troy and his wife. Feel so bad for them. He had wife and two twin daughters. Wife opened door and smelled gun powder and would not let the girls go in house thank goodness. Troy's Mother and his dad were in my DH's class. Just so sad and what do you say? I just told them they are in my prayers.
Hope you all have a great week-end.

Good morning.
Happy Saturday. We just had the best week. Beautiful week of watching our daughter deliver her Valedictorian speech and graduating. Watching youngest dd promote to high school, Ds got married. We had three family dinners. In the world of so many awful things that are going on it was much needed.
Today we are taking the girls to Five Guys. We have new one near us and they love it. After that I will be cleaning and cooking. Not much of those 2 tasks have happened in the last 2 weeks.
Waving to all.

Betsy, how wonderful! So happy to hear what a joyful week this has been for your family. ❤
Marlene, that is a lot of work, sorting all that coin. And how perfect that it came out even, dividing it three ways, so you can pass that on to your children.
Well, I need to get busy and clean the bathrooms. That is the one non-negotiable that I have to do every week!

Betsy , what a extraordinary, wonderful week you have had.
Great photo Bet!
Had a busy morning here - laundry, chatted with Mum, made bread and rolls and picked lots of rhubarb which I then simmered ready for breakfasts for a few days. Hoping to get some gardening done this afternoon.
Thinking along the lines of stirfry for supper this evening.
Waving to all 🙋

Good afternoon friends.
Bet, the Cameron and Annabelle picture is so cute! Bet the presentation was adorable and I can just see the love big brother has in his eyes for his sister--priceless! Thanks for sharing.
Betsy, I think Elza said it best, what a joyful week at your home! All three events worthy in themselves and a super reason for three celebrations. Congratulations to all!
Elza, so nice that you had a lovely evening last night with your co-workers and enjoyed the movie.
Marlene, sorting that coin was a big job and how wonderful that it was able to be divided up evenly among your children. Sorry to read about the young man who took his own life--sad. You're right, there's not much you can say to the family except keep them in prayer.
Helen, got a few bags of fresh green beans--I'm sure you know what I'll be making for dinner tonight.
Waving to all! Lori

Good Afternoon all, Bet, thanks for sharing the photo. Great looking kids!
Betsy, good to hear from you. I love all the good news you are sharing.
Today is hot and sunny. We both slept in then got ourselves ready, picked up DSIL, went to the funeral home. They wanted the family to come down and look at DMIL, see if she looked ok. She did look nice. I had found a small package of Kleenex in the master bath. It was a decorative print on it. It said in quotes "Because I said so!".....Mom. I grabbed them and took with me thinking that maybe someone would need a tissue, and maybe this would make them smile, because DMIL was that of mother. You did not give her any lip, you went and did what she said! When I pulled them out, they weren't needed at the time, everyone was doing well, but they burst out laughing. One SIL laid the package on MIL's hands and we laughed so hard we were almost crying-it was so appropriate. We decided to leave them there! She always did have to have the last word!
After that we went out to a local Mexican place. Not all of us, just DH and I and one SIL. We dropped her off at home. I needed to go by the Palais Royal store. I wanted to look for white slacks or jeans, because I left mine at home, also needed t pay my bill. They had one pair of white jeans on clearance, and they fit! I did not even look at the price. When I checked out, I saw they were marked down from $44.00 to $13.20. They were 70% off. Then she scanned a coupon she had and I got 30% more off. I paid $10.04 for Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. My bargain for the day. They are a tiny bit long so I am going to see about hemming them up as soon as I get off the computer.
The sisters are coming back over this afternoon and we are going to go through more stuff in the house. I don't think there is much left. What isn't claimed will go to Salvation Army.
A Sunday school class is bringing sandwich makings over for supper tonight.
Wish I had some strawberry/rhubarb pie today, but guess that won't happen.
Waving to everyone who stops by.

Afternoon, friends! It's sunny and warm today. I was out early working in the garden; made another big "dent" in the overgrown stuff and watered in the back yard. I bought cod loins for dinner tonight...DH is making that "Crazy Water" poached fish. I took some of fish, spread it with some mayo and sprinkled on some cheesy panko. I roasted it for mom's main meal at noon. She was pleased to have it! Earlier this morning I roasted some zucchini to mix into the roasted vegetables I had made earlier. I also mixed in the roasted sweet potato that we didn't have last night. Gave some to mom to go with her fish. She loves vegetables, and will gladly eat more so the big container I have will be all gone soon! Bet - Enjoyed seeing the great picture of the grandkids; you can see the love!!! Betsy - So happy to read about your wonderful week! The closest Five Guys is in Nashua, NH, but I think there will be one in Salem, NH in the near future once the Tuscan Village on the old Rockingham racetrack is complete. (That and a Trader Joes!!!) Tammy - Funny about the pack of Kleenex! Good deal on the jeans! I hate having to hem stuff! Lori - Thanks in advance for posting the recipe...no rush!!! Hear mom moving around upstairs; need to go upstairs to see what she is up to and what she wants for supper. Have a great evening! Waving!

Wow it was hot out there mowing!! Just had my shower and got dressed and called Pat and we are going to steak house in Harlan for supper. Has been awhile since I ate there. Will pick her up at 5:30. Will maybe have a margarita also! It sounds good. Terry brought my old mower down and man he don't have guard over the belts and the discharge of grass comes on you!! I was changing colors when I came in even had to wash my glasses!!The shower felt wonderful!! The yard needs a little rain but nothing last night. Is amazing how the weeds keep growing. I need to get on the golf cart and get to spraying again. Maybe tomorrow in evening. Is to hot again tomorrow.
Everyone have a great evening!

Good evening friends! Bet- What a wonderful pic of your Great's! So sweet looking. Glad you get to spend time in their lives. Elza- Glad you had a good time at the movies. I was wondering how Ocean's 8 was. I think I will go see it with my GF. Marlene- I did my bedding this morning. I have to go to the laundry mat for the king size quilt and pillows. Too big for my machine. There was a family there and the boy was a brat to the hilt. He was about 7 and they were talking baby talk to him and him back to them. 'Was so silly. He was kicking stuff and he hit me when I tried to go by him. He climbed in the machines and yelled a lot. Was not a mental health issue at all. I know I worked around that long enough to know the difference. LOL. His about 12 year old brother was frustrated too. But acted fine. Have fun out with your friend. Betsy- What a great week you have had. Congrats all around! We have a Five Guys in Keene where my Mom used to live. I did not care for it. Tasty- I need to pick some more rhubarb from mine. I need to make another pie. Lori- I love green beans. Sorry you have had the problems with in-laws. Tammy- Great deal on the jeans! I love a good deal! I am still holding you and Dave close. We will be having my Mom's service on Saturday. I love about the kleenex! Glad for the memory. Ann- DH has done well in our garden this year. Looking forward to harvesting all his hard work later this year.
Had a good time yesterday trying out motorcycles. I like the new Indian Springfield. Wish I could afford one!
Chris.

Enjoy your steak house meal, Marlene.
Love your story about the tissues, Tammy. I'm sure they helped lighten the atmosphere!
No strawberries for us today unfortunately Lori but I did pick a whole big pile of rhubarb and stewed it ready for our breakfasts for a few days!
Good night 😉
