We have had the conversations about the which potting soil we all use, but since the Pro-mix that many prefer is not available here...I use the Miracle Gro potting soil and I know others do as well.
Yesterday when we were at Wal-mart they had the 2 cubic foot bags on sale for $5.00 per bag. Last winter they were $14.00 per bag, so we quickly grabbed 3 bags. I text Kathy and she said that they would be on sale at her WM next week. Just thought if any of you use this brand it might not hurt to check out your local WM. (Steve...cover your ears so you don't hear me swearing...lol) Charlene

Char, thanks, I'll check my closest WM...Lowes has a brand that I like, especially now that my gardening is somehow limited... BTW, where do I go if I want to start a new thread...I read about no threads here, does it mean that we can not start new subjects?? Probably I missed this explanation..T.I.A.

Hey Charlene I shop where ever I can get the best price or what I'm looking for. I have even lowered myself and ordered from the orange store before.

I'm not that great at gardening. When I saw this I thought oh no. I was at Walmart yesterday and bought (2) 1.5 cu bags of Miracle Gro Nature's Care Organic Raised Bed soil for $3 each. I thought you were going to say Miracle Gro was bad. I know that isn't potting soil. I got the potting soil for $5 last week. I can only garden on my deck because of all the deer, rabbits, and ground hogs. I thought I could mix this in the window boxes on the railings and crocks on the deck. I'll have to check the other Walmart to see what bargains they have.

pghjan...some do not care for the Miracle gro potting soil, but I like it. Like all other aspects of gardening...to each their own. Good luck keeping the critters out of your pots on your deck. The dang squirrels like to bury their nuts in mine. I am sure they don't intend to dig out plants ans kill them in the process, but they do. Charlene
