Good morning ladies and a very happy mother's day to you all.
The sun is shining and it promises to be nice here today, unlike yesterday which was cold and dreary until late afternoon.
We are golfing with friends later and then hubby offered to cook supper. Oh, yes please 😊 When we were out yesterday, we found a boneless turkey breast that hubby will cook. No idea what he'll do with it but he is very capable in the kitchen and I'm happy to let him do his thing, and eat the results!
Have a super Sunday.

Good morning. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. 35 this morning and partly cloudy. It may get into the upper 60's. Yesterday I got the boxes done for the back deck and 2 baskets for the front deck. Took inventory of the baskets that are done of what colors I have so far for each area. Today before it warms up I need to sort through all of the geraniums for the baskets and get them put together by color so I know just what I have. Have been mentally deciding what will be going in pots and planters and where they will go in the yard. If DGD shows up we should be able to get one bed reclaimed and ready to plant. Hopefully she will be here long enough that we can get the wishing well and all the planters for the side yard in place. Most of the planters are big and an extra hand in moving them from the shed is always helpful. Tonight I am going to DS's for dinner. Not much else planned for the day at the moment.
Tasty, enjoy your golf today and especially enjoy letting DH do the cooking and you reap the benefits.
Have a great day.

Tasty, thanks for starting things off. Happy Mothers Day to all ~ Sounds like a nice day for golf, and having DH fixing something delicious for dinner is perfect! Enjoy!
Bet, sounds like a busy day ahead. I hope everything gets done and looks just the way you want it, and you have a great time with family this evening.
I got all the cleaning, and laundry, done yesterday! At least for this moment, the hamper is empty! Pretty happy about that, although I know it won't last long. Enjoying a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin before I head out for church. I'm planning a stop at Starbucks on the way, and then this afternoon I'm going to order a pizza. (I'd thought about doing that yesterday, but decided to finish up some leftovers instead.) Looking forward to a lazy afternoon of reading and relaxing, and talking with my guys.

Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone enjoys the day.
I got the pasta salad done last night. The All in One Meal is in the crock pot, I will not heat it here, I'll plug it in at church and let it cook there. It's almost overflowing the pot since I doubled the recipe, so will have to scoop some out and put in another container.
I have to brag on my grandkids that were here. DGS is testing on a high school level-he is 13 in July. He is counting on attending Oxford University! Our DGD has been going to One Day Academy. She stays at home and home schools herself, she attends classes one day a week. She is going to take her college entrance exam and can start taking some courses locally and get college credit. She will be 15 in June. Both parents have Master's degrees. They don't get their smarts from me! lol
We went shopping at Walmart last night and looked for an Instant Pot. I saw a different brand and would have bought it except they were sold out. I came home and looked up reviews, and it did not get very good reviews on a few features, so I ended up ordering the 8 qt Instant Pot. It should be here in about 5 days. We used 2 gift cards from Christmas too, so saved $75.00!
Time is getting away from me, so must run for now. I still have to get the pasta salad out of the fridge and add some last minute things.
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Mother's day to all!!
Thanks for starting us today Tasty. Enjoy your day and kiss the cook!! Nice he is great in the kitchen too.
Elza sounds like a good day at your house too. Enjoy the eats and day.
Bet you are so busy with all your chores outside. I bet the flowers will be beautiful when you are done. I have two planters which I made and two planters of Gerber daisies. That is it for me and 3 tomato plants to plant.
DD stayed in KC last night with their old neighbors. She asked them to stop and they went out to eat and decided to stay with them. Now they have 3hour drive here. Told them we will go out for dinner, Momma taking the easy way out and we have meatloaf and hash brown casserole tonight here.
DD and I will go down to see MIL today to see how the clothes fit her. Then come home and go through pictures of folks travels to make table for funeral. They had been to every state except Alaska. They had been to Hawaii 3 times also and spent 27 yrs. going to Arizona (And I took care of FIL's Mother and MIL Dad) all those years so they could go. So they had 78 years together. Not too many have the chance to do that.

Morning! Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms! Hope you have a relaxing day. I'm just about finished preparing for our M/D~B/D lunch. DH is passing the vacuum over the floors. I finished steaming the eggs for the spinach salad and will now plate the salad and put it in the fridge. Dinner last night was great. Really liked the "different" potato salad with the corn, seedless zucchini, bleu cheese and bacon. Last night we couldn't "find" The Post on Fios so chose Sully. It's supposed to be free, but this morning, I got notification that it will cost $3.99 + tax. Will see when I get my next statement. Have to get a wiggle on. Will check in later! Waving!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there. Enjoy.
Yesterday, I made my Julia Child's Onion Soup in the Instant Pot. It went well and tasted great. I will post how I did it for those of you using the IP--some changes from how it goes together from her original recipe.
I found a fresh bone-in turkey breast half the other day that is destined for the IP today. After searching for some recipes, a few turned up that looked good. So, another experiment. So far, I have been happy with cooking in the IP. I think it is going to get a lot of use. I already have an extra set of the silicone rings and a second pot insert that is non-stick. From my previous traditional pressure cooker adventures, I have a nice set of stainless-steel nesting containers that fit inside to do some Pot-in-Pot cooking. One of these days, I really want to try making a cheesecake in the pot.
Have a great day, all.

Couldn't make it here earlier, but I wanted to stop by and wish all you wonderful gals a very Happy Mother's Day.
Dinner was grilled steak, spaghetti squash casserole, and a pea salad.

Happy Mother's Day to All.....I hope your day was a good one and you were able to do some things that bring you joy.
Mother's Day is tough for me as my own Mom has been gone for many years and my only son died 7 years ago. Both DGS's still live w/me and when I came into the kitchen this morning I was greeted with a pot of coffee already made, a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates....just doesn't get any better than that.....it certainly made my day.
Helen, Hugs to you.....hope you are feeling better and enjoyed your pizza.
Marlene, I am glad to read that you are taking it easier today and taking the family out instead of marathon cooking. Hugs to you too, my thought are w/you. Lori, Your dinner sounds terrific, were you able to spend anytime this week-end w/DD. It sounds like you have a full week coming up.
The teacher's strike in Pueblo, just south of us, ended last night....they have been out for a week so looks like there will be makeup to do...don't know what effect it will have w/graduation. Unfortunately they have some of the lowest test scores in the state and some of the districts have been threatened w/ takeover by the state.
Cheers, Doris
