Good morning~ Looks like a beautiful day out there. Marge and I went to different places to get flowers yesterday. So I have to plant mine in pots today. The one place we went to yesterday the plants were so beautiful. We stopped and had dinner at a Dairy Queen and coming back we got a mini blizzard there. So we had a good day. Marge needed to get away from her work at home she had been doing to much. She told me she was going to do a little work each day but she is doing too much in one day then she gets a headache and feels terrible so was good to sit and ride. I also got a new rain gauge also it is on stake and has a hummingbird and flowers on it.
Mark was out here and got his turkey last night. Now he has another license to get another. I said I will get you a bag to put him in. He said you don't have big enough bag!! Yes I do, and I did!! He was a big guy. One shot and here he came carrying it. They like the breast and thighs. I said his woddle (that is what I call it!) is not red and he said it changes colors all the time. It was long also. So he was happy. He has a new pick-up and had a mat in the bed. He was going to throw it in there, I said no your not I have a bag.
Think I will run over lawn tomorrow if rain is in the forecast again. Don't want a mess out there again. All I get done in the summer.

Good Morning ! I just heard the 3 hostages were released by North Korea. Hooray!
DH ended up spending all afternoon at the hospital-he was only going to pre register there for his appointment in Lufkin on Thursday. He thought it would only be paper work, but he had to do blood work and then and ekg. He will be having an echo-cardiogram tomorrow.
I did a test drive with the transit van yesterday. It seats about 12 I think. We don't have that many going today, I think there is around 6. I did ok, and even backed it in the parking space without any problems.
I took some cranberry orange scones into the coffee shop yesterday. Daniel, who works there was very happy as he loves scones. I stopped by the store for a few items and I got some small meat turnovers for DH to have for his supper. He will be having leftovers for lunch, and I will going with the group to Golden Corral so won't want any supper. I go over and play cards at 6.
The weather got to 91 yesterday- at least in Houston. They say it is our hottest day so far this year. All week will be around 88 or 90.
Glad you are feeling better Helen.
I hope everyone has a very enjoyable day!

Good morning all.
It's cool and cloudy here so far today. I am going to take dd to school and then walk the dogs. I may get a pedicure. DH needs something done though so I have to do that first. DD needs gas so I will tag along with her late this afternoon and then we will pick up pizza for dinner.
I bought a new coffee pot yesterday. I bought a Ninja coffee bar. I have a Keurig but decided it was time for a change. This one claims to to it all. DD and I gave it a trial run last night and made iced coffee but it was too late at night to try it. The house smelled so good though. Chris, maybe this will help with my SB addiction. LOL.
Prom is Saturday night. DD's group of friends are all going as each other's dates rather than asking others. They are going for sushi before prom. She has a good mix of boys/ girl friends and they are bffs. One boy has been her close friend since the first day of Kinder. His mom is my bff. Sweet times but I worry about them once she leaves for LA in September. He is taking a year off and staying around. I will take him up with me when I go visit though and my bff will take him up as well.
I guess I had better get going. I wish you a lovely day.

I thought today was Wednesday Not Thursday? Chris (giggling). I hope so too or I lost a day. The weather is lovely today and I'm spending most of it in the garden working. Then it's golf night so hubby is on his own for supper. Sounds like your daughter and her friends will have a good time at their prom Betsy.

Tonite's speciality of the house will be Chang's Stir Fry Chicken fresh from the freezer. I will add rice, douse it with soy sauce, and enjoy.
Marlene, big hugs to you. I think about you often as I go about my day.

Afternoon! It's another banner day today. Been busy with "stuff". Went to dollar store for some cards and walked out with a "few" more things!!! Made the side dish for Mother's day...noodles and peas with prosciutto and grated Romano cheese. Recipe made so much; I guess I'll have to repurpose the leftovers. DH is visiting a friend in Colebrook, NH overnight. It's his birthday, but we will celebrate on Mother's day. I'm making my mom's favorite dinner...chicken tarragon and DH's favorite dessert...Boston Cream Pie. Will check in tomorrow...waving! Have a great evening!

John the neighbor who I done all the cooking for brought another big bag of Asparagus this morning. So when I finished planting my 2 containers of flowers I came in and cleaned it all and made asparagus soup. So kept one container for Mark for his dinner and took rest to John and Sherrie. I also made a Cookies and cream pudding and put in Oreo crust with a container of cool whip and took that to them for supper. They can eat the soup for dinner some day.
Got my Mother's gift from DD in Texas today. She got me Binoculars so I can see what the critters around here are! So many times I see them by the bins a ways away and now will know what is there ! She had it sent from Amazon.
Will have a burrito for supper tonight. Nothing exciting!

Hi. We have potluck tonight. It is another day over a 100. Only a few more days here and then we are heading North. I will miss the games everyday. But most of all I will miss the internet.
Have a great evening. Elaine

Good evening, everybody. Chris, I wish it was Thursday already! I have thought that several times today. DH & I had meat & three for dinner tonight at Mama Penns. We were both in the mood for fried chicken. I had creamed corn, green beans, and turnip greens with mine, and a biscuit. Real good. Nancy, our temps were close to 80 today. I sure am enjoying it! Marlene, LOL at your bag for the turkey! I wish we had a Dairy Queen around here -- those Blizzards are the best. Tammy, your scones sound good. I really like them too. Of course, I like almost any kind of breakfast bread. Betsy, let us know how you like the Ninja. I see more & more kids doing like your DD and going in groups -- that's what DS#2 did his senior year too. DS#1 was not interested in prom but he & a group of friends would always get together and go out to eat that night, so it was kind of the same thing (except they didn't have to rent tuxes, or dance. LOL). Helen, I do like having stuff in the freezer that I can pull out on short notice. Have you about gone through all your frozen foods? Elaine, I hope y'all have a safe trip back up north. We will look forward to hearing from you when you can get online. Ann, Happy Birthday to your DH. I love Boston Cream Pie too, and it is just about the only thing I remember my parents fighting over. My mother insisted that it had to be topped with a chocolate glaze, and my father was just as insistent that it should be dusted with powdered sugar. Daddy usually got it his way, but Mama never admitted that he was right! (I was always with her -- bring on the chocolate!)

A quick hello. Had some errands to run after work today and by the time I made dinner--Zucchini Spaghetti-- and then cleaned up the kitchen and do a couple loads of laundry, I'm just now checking in. Hope I have more time to write tomorrow. Waving to all.
