Good morning friends. It will be sunny and in the 60's today. I'm happy about that as it was too hot last week.
Oldest DD has an afternoon game today and youngest DD has an evening game.
Pork chops, rice, string beans for dinner.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
Nancy thank you for starting us. Busy time for you with the games. Hope they are having fun.
I need to go to Trader Joe's today. I'll see what looks good. Need to run to Target for a few things as well.
Senior year is winding down. DD has a month left but AP exams are this week and next so she will be done after those. Not sure how they will keep them busy after that.
Waving to all.

I did get my spraying done yesterday. Sprayed 2 tanks full so 60 gallons of spray was spread out where it was needed. Will wait a few days and see what I missed to go back and do it over. Keeps me busy if I want it to look nice around here. May go find some flowers today to plant in my pots. Also will hit the lawn today as rain is in the forecast for tomorrow and do not want the mess I had last Friday. It is a busy season for me with all the lawn work to be done.
Just writing out all the bills today. Seems this bill to nursing home just gets to me each month. So much money going out every month would be different if it was good care. It is lacking so much as they can not keep good help. I guess it is everywhere on the help situation.
Nancy sounds like a busy time with you and ball games. It is a fun time for the girls. It will be over before you know it they grow up to fast.
Betsy sounds like busy time for your family too. Those tests will be good to have done. It gets to be stressful for them even if it easy for them. Just good to get done. Hope you find something good to fix for supper.
Sherrie will be coming home today. Her DH told me she has to go buy some button blouses as she has none. Won't feel like pulling over the tops for a while.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. 42 this morning and sunny. Today and tomorrow are suppose to be beautiful the Afternoon showers on Wednesday. I plan on spending the rest of the day working in the back bed behind the driveway. I am sure that will be a 2 day job. However first I need to get the hosta I dug into some dirt as I don't have a place ready for them yet.
I had a bunch of Lion's work to get done first thing this morning so that is finished.
Yesterday, I go about half of what I had planned on doing done. Most of the wash is done, the kitchen is back in order and the house is pretty much picked up but not vacuumed.
I see that Sara is apparently reading here some. She was on Line Friday. Hope she comes to read today. As it is her birthday. Happy Birthday Sara and hurry back soon.
Have a great day.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday.
I planned on baking today for the coffee shop, which was good since I got a text from Jack that they had a busy weekend and needed brownies and other things. I am taking gluten free blueberry muffins and rice krispy treats also.
DH called and said they were serving meatloaf today at the care center so he wanted to eat there. He had made a reservation for me too, so I went over and ate there. It was good, They had mashed potatoes, broccoli, carrot raisin salad and green salad if you wanted it. Since we ate a big lunch I won't worry much about supper. We have half a baked potato from the night we went to the VFW. I think I will bake another one in the microwave, then make a pan of fried potatoes with onions and scrambled eggs.
It is supposed to be around 90 today. It should be sunny and hot all week, no chance of rain.
Nancy, hope the girls do well with their games.
Marlene, I'm sure Sherrie will happy to get home.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA ! I hope you have a wonderful birthday.
Chris, glad you have finally seen the last of the snow! Tell DH to hurry and get himself a computer-we miss your posts!

Afternoon, friends! It's a banner spring day here...trees are greening and there are so many flowering trees and bushes...just so pretty. We met some friends for lunch today at an Irish-style pub. I had a delicious lamb burger, and I sprinkled my fries with malt vinegar...yum! Not much for dinner, obviously, tonight; perhaps a cup of TOH's Spicy Apple Chile from the freezer. Chris - Good to read your news! We got a second new laptop for DH to use...an ACER. It's fantastic. Once I got it set up for him, he decided he wanted to use the "old" one...a LENOVO. Then, he found out that there were better games on the ACER...need I say more!?!? LOL Happy Birthday, Sara! Hope to read your news soon! Nancy - Busy times with those games. Supper sounds delish. Betsy - Your DD deserves a relaxing stretch for the end of the school year. I bet she finds something constructive to do!! I forget if I mentioned it...we have a TJ's coming to Salem, NH just 3 miles from here!!! Tammy - I had to look up frijoles con queso; wow! That looks delicious. Emily's Honey-Lime Cole Slaw is delicious...FYI! The dressing is really light and refreshing. LINKBirdy - You ever go to Oscars Smokehouse that Rachael talks about. I mail ordered some product a few years ago and liked everything. Bet - Good luck with your new car! What kind did you get? Hope everyone has a great evening! Waving!

A quick hello friends. Today was the last day of DH's vacation. We both went for haircuts this morning, dropped two bedroom doors and closet doors off at Habitat for Humanity, dropped off the drapery books, picked up more paint at Home Depot, then came home. We had originally hoped to go blueberry picking today, but both farms were closed for the day.
Very warm 91* with lots of humidity today--felt like 98*.
((Sara)), happy birthday blessings to you! Sure do miss your posts and I'm hoping you'll join us again.
I need to make this quick as I need to cook the corn on the cob to have with our dinner--steaks, coleslaw, and grilled pineapple for dessert.
Take care everyone-I'm waving to all.

I had a bowl of soup for supper as I'm not feeling well. Ever since I picked up something last week I haven't felt right. I expect I'll fight it off in the fullness of time.
Happy Birthday, Sara! Hope you've had a good day.

Happy Birthday Sara and hope you have a wonderful day!!! I guess I did not write it down in my B-day book. We miss you on here.
I did get my lawn mowed and also went to town as Fareway had Whole Rib Eyes for 7.98 # so had one cut up and put 1 to package. So will be nice to have when I have company. Whoever it might be!! Washed my car and cashed a couple checks and got groceries. So have them put away and had a cool drink. Now they say rain tomorrow. So glad I mowed. That makes 4 times of mowing. I was going to get some flowers but will do that when I don't have other things to do. I get out there and it is like being in a candy shop!! You want one of everything!!
Today has been the day that DH passed away 3 years ago already. How time flies. Just wish he could see what I have done to this place now. there are things I still want to do and will as money comes in. Can't do all at once.
Enjoy what is left of the day!

(((Hugs))) to Marlene and Helen today.
Betsy, hope the AP tests go well. I remember DS#1 having those and DS#2 had IB tests. Lots of pressure but that college credit sure did help.
Tammy, mmmmm on your baked goodies! I'm planning to make Nancy's Blueberry Cream Muffins this weekend.
Nancy, hope the games go well and your teams win.
Bet, you are always working on something -- sounds like you got some things accomplished this weekend and today.
Chris, good luck in the Laptop Wars. May the Force be with you. LOL!
Ann, thanks for the slaw recipe. That looks delicious!
Tasty, that is a tried and true combination. Good stuff.
Well, DH made tacos tonight so we celebrated Siete de Mayo! It's been a beautiful day today -- temps are warming up and supposed to feel like summertime by this weekend. DH is not excited about that as the university's commencement is on Saturday and it is held outdoors. He's not real thrilled about having to sit outside for several hours in a black cap & gown, in 90-degree temps. Me -- I'm staying home in the A/C!
Oh -- and Happy Birthday Sara! :D
