Happy Friday to all. Today is Grad Night for DD. They take the kids to Disneyland. They leave the school at 10 am and the bus leaves at Disney at around 230 am. I hope she has fun.
I am making tortas tonight. I am also making lemon bars for youngest dd. She has been asking for about a week and I have not had a chance.
Looks like a warm and sunny day here.
Waving to all.

Good morning Betsy and all who follow.
When I was shopping yesterday, I found fresh burgers (pack of 2 / store-made) at 50% off, pack of 2 yogurt based desserts also 50% off, so I picked up 2 fresh buns and that will be supper tonight along with a salad. Quick, cheap and easy :) .
Hope your DD has a great grad experience today, Betsy.

Just got all my Asparagus in the freezer so now got the battery getting charged so I can weed eat around my house so can see all my lights for a change. All this rain the grass has gone wild. Hope it all dries and I can mow yet today.
Just talked to my niece to see if she is going tomorrow. They always are doing something and waiting on my brother to make a decision. It is are you going or not. Now she called me and she is going and Brother will go himself as he can't leave his woman that long. She is in bad shape and can't breathe and on oxygen.
Congratulations to DD Betsy. Hope she has a wonderful time.
Elaine that is so terrible about the kids and their Mother. I don't know what possess people to things like that. If they are mad at them do something to yourself not innocent people. I am sure they are not thinking straight at the time.
Better get some things done around here as won't get a thing done tomorrow.

Afternoon, friends! The muggy, very warm weather is fading fast. Last night was very uncomfortable sleeping. Tonight we are having open faced shrimp and mango salad sandwiches. Hope everyone has a great evening!

Hello all.
Betsy, sure hope Dd has a great time.
Safe travels Marlene.
I had planned on pork chops for supper but they are frozen so will have to go to plan B....as soon as I figure what that is. DH would go out if I asked him, but I'm sure he would rather stay in. Also Helen wanted to go out this afternoon, so she treated me to lunch at the new chicken buffet restaurant. She thought this morning was the book sale at the library so arranged for a ride there at 10 a.m.. I could not take her because I work at the resale place. She had the date wrong and the sale is the 18th, but she did check out some books. She was wanting to look around Walmart and also the Tractor Supply store. I just got home from doing that. I drove my car since there were no cars at Care available. With such a big lunch I don't need much supper.
I will dig around in the freezer and see what I have from Schwan's.
I am hoping to start baking for the Mother's Day tea tomorrow. That means making a grocery list first. I will probably do that tonight and shop in the morning. I will freeze what I can, then I will do baking for the coffee shop during the early part of the week. I need to do some gluten free blueberry muffins and some cranberry orange scones. Late in the week I will shop for the fresh things and get those done hopefully Friday. DS and family are coming, but I think after school lets out, so not sure what time they will arrive.
Hot and muggy-that is our weather Ann!
Have a nice evening!

Good evening, everybody! Very glad that it is Friday and this long week is over!
We finally had the lasagna tonight and it was delicious. DH put it in the oven for me, heated up green beans and made salad to go with it, and I had gotten Tuscan Garlic Bread at Publix so he toasted some of that too. It was really good. I had some of the toasted bread with honey for dessert and that was good too!
Tomorrow I think I'll drive over to Abbeville to meet my sister at the annual Spring Festival. Not early, though -- I plan to sleep in!

Hi friends. Sorry I was MIA yesterday. DH and I went up to St. John's Pass in Madeira Beach. Spent several hours walking around and looking in the stores. Ate a late lunch up on the boardwalk at the Friendly Fisherman--we both had fried grouper nuggets. Delish! On the way home we stopped at Bed, Bath, and Beyond where I picked up a spiral veggie cutter and a My Pillow. Last stop was Penzey's for a few spies I needed.
Today we went out on the boat, however, that was short lived. After fishing a spell, we decided to move to a new location. DH forgot to pull in the bait bucket, took off, and next thing he noticed, we had no bucket. We were going to just boat up to a bait shop and get another, but I thought it best that we head home to clean the boat. As we launched the boat earlier, we notice that 2 of the 4 boards had come undone off the trailer. Luckily we were able to tie them down and get home okay. After washing the boat we took it to the trailer shop where we left it to be repaired. After cleaning up ourselves, we went to Publix to do our grocery shopping and then picked up soup and salad at Chick-Fil-A.
Has been nothing but drama galore with DH's DM the last two days. She is up to her usual no-good ways. Rehab said DFIL is doing better then they expected and will probably be able to go home by the end of this month. DH wants to go north as soon as he gets out and have me come along. I told him I'll gladly keep him company in the drive to and from, but there's no way I will be staying at his parents place.
Going tomorrow morning to see about getting new window treatments throughout the house. We currently have verticals in every room, and they are starting to crack and dry rot from the sun. They've held up a long time and did well, but I want something different now since we need to change them out. They'll have to be custom made as we have three huge sliders in the living room/dining room and there's nothing to be found in a store that size. This might take awhile, but we can hopefully get started.
I feel so much better--except for a nasty cough. Glad I decided to go to the doctor on Monday. Hopefully no more germs will come my way and I'll be able to finish up the last three weeks of the school year.
Need to pull some laundry out of the dryer, so I'll close for now. Not looking to good at the moment for my Bolts this evening--3rd period and Boston is winning.
Goodnight. Waving to all.
