Hi Karen,
Once again my 1st stop of the day.
Partly cloudy today , mild temps (60s) but damp.
Work , as usual. Nothing exciting there except I did call my DM & told him something had to go. With no help on the 12hr. cosmetic reset, there just wasn't enough days or hrs in the week to get everything done. He found somebody to do 2 of them & I did the 3rd today. Less hrs means less pay but so be it. It also means less stress.
When I got to the store today, the mngr had already done one 9-3/4 hr laundry project but I will still get paid for that & she helped me do the cosmetics so that was done in one day rather than 2. Still plenty of other stuff to do but just maybe I can make it a 4 day work week.
How was everybody's day?

Okay. I'm back. I had cookies baking in the oven so I didn't want to start typing until they were out. DH went to get some fresh milk to have with them. :D We've been a collaborative team tonight. He washed and sliced the tomatoes and cleaned some lettuce for our BLTs tonight, and I did the bacon. Now we are working together for our dessert. LOL!
I got a little bit more done in the yard today, but not much. I think I have done about all I can do on my own. I'm going to need at least DH to help with the next step, but maybe DSisIL will be the better choice. In any event, that area looks 100% better than it did all winter long. This afternoon our godson was running track at the school across the street from us. I planned to walk over to watch, but I decided I'd be better off sitting on the porch with the binoculars watching. It wasn't ideal, but I made due. What was clear, though, was we are in need of new and better binoculars if I ever try that again. These are old and have pieces missing from them. I also had reinforced to me that binoculars and bifocals might not work so well together. Maybe it is just the crappy binoculars. Guess I'll find out after I buy a new pair.
I bought a new DNA kit today also. DDIL said that she was interested to see what her background might be, and keeping in mind our future grands that I want to have, I decided to take advantage of their current sale. Must not have been a bad idea because DH agreed with me. He's REALLY looking forward to those grands! :))
Other than those things, the only other thing I really did was water and rotate my seedlings. I wanted to take things outside but DH didn't put the umbrellas out until late. Tomorrow is supposed to be wet so I guess they will wait one more day. That was it for me. I hope everyone had a good start to their week. Have a nice night! It is about time for milk, cookies, and Big Bang Theory. Yay!

A beautiful day here. Hard to believe a few days ago we had a foot of snow! My DIL came this morning preparing to take me to Decorah to shop, but, altho I appreciated it, I didn't feel up to it and we only went to the town only 16 miles away. But I spent enough $$$ just going there! Stopped at my eye dr. and made a new appt, as I had to cancel one two weeks ago. Terri will take me on May 7 now. I bought lots of groceries again, so should be well stocked for a while. But I can't believe how my body cannot shop as it used to! I come home after 2 hours and literally collapse! LOL I just finally got everything put away, after 6 hours! Donna's saying today is my way of thinking. I have total faith that my day is going to be great because God loves me and He is in charge of my life. Even when I get discouraged, I simply ask Him to take care of me and He has never failed yet! Have a great evening and smile, Spring hasn't forgotten anyone!

Hi all 😉 I ran into the curling club this morning to make sure the first of the lunches had been delivered - yeah! And it looked pretty good.
While I was in town I took the necklace hubby gave me this weekend in to the jewelers to have the clasp changed. It was very small (goes with a very fine chain) and on Friday, neither hubby nor I could fasten it. Not a problem, said the jeweler. 2 hours later I got a phone call to say it was ready so back into town I went.
Most of the afternoon was spent outside. Hubby had the chain saw going and I did some digging in the veggie patch and then, to save the muscles, I did some cleaning out in the big perennial bed. Think I'm going to feel it in the morning 🙄
Temperature got up to 70F - just lovely.
Hope you've had a good day.

lilymouse,
Might I guess from your thoughts tonight ( paragraph 2), that a verse that may be one of your favorites is:
" He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord" Psalm 112:7
I know that it is one of mine!
A wave, Robyn

It was a great day. Visited with my sister, niece and great niece. Then played cards. Tonight I made BLTs with home grown tomatoes and thick slices of bacon. So yummy. I went to the swimming pool and swam some laps tonight so feel extra good.
See you in the morning. ELAINE

We had a beautiful day in the upper 60s....loved it. I did however get a little over zealous and raked and hauled 3 pickup loads to the dump. About 7, complete exhaustion and body aches encompassed me. I am ready to head to bed. Tomorrow is another day. Have a good night. Charlene

Charlene, you made me tired just reading. Guess the thinking is what wore me out.
No, It was Shop till you drop for the 2 garments yesterday. Lilymouse, not 2 hours, but 4. Yes I can't shop like I once did!
Rested this AM and then DD & I went for drive in car and then looked in three antique shops. Then back to apt to rest while she hung out with HS friend and got caught up on life. Then out to eat with dad. That went good - I can't talk and cant hear. So limited conversations. Acid Reflux ate up half of one side ov vocal cord.
Now home and getting into sleep mode!
