Hi Karen and anyone else who gets here this evening.
I do believe spring has arrived here. At home we have no sign of snow at all and all the nasty stuff from last weekend has gone. The ground is starting to thaw so there are some rather large puddles around and our seasonal stream has shown up again.
We've been away for a couple of days and when we got home this afternoon, the crocus are an absolute mass of colour. Even a few of the mini daffodils are open now too. Lilac buds are swelling, as are the trees and grapes. Even the rhubarb has grown noticeably while wew were gone.
Found a shepherd's pie in the freezer for supper and some real plain home-cooking really hit the spot. We had a couple of great days away (more tomorrow when I'm not so tired) but it sure is nice to be home 😊

Tasty-Looking forward to hearing about your trip.
Spent most of the day outside. It was beautiful. Got the hill beds cleaned up. My hamstrings are super tight. Ouch! Lol! Will be even warmer tomorrow.

Good evening Karen, Tasty & Melissa and anyone else that pops in.
Tasty, home cooking is the best. Our weather was the same as yours today. Rest up and we can hear about your time away tomorrow.
Melissa, after the crappy weather you endured lately it's great to hear you are having some decent weather now. You might be saying ouch when you get up.
Headaches are not going away so another day in the house for me, too bright out for the old eyes.
Have a peaceful sleep everyone.

Good evening,
Donna, is it a migraine ?
The Fish Fry was nice. Plenty of food, as usual, & this yr. there was chicken to go with the fish.
Max's Black Belt ceremony is in 2 wk. (5/4) & the plant sale is the next day so guess where I'll be that weekend?
And tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day so the plan is more yard work.

Gayle, yes it is and screen is not helping but wanted to do some reading. Sounds like you had a nice time with family. Another busy weekend coming up for you.

Wow! Hours later, and I am back. I fully intended to post again way before now but DH made me an offer I couldn't refuse ... he suggested we watch a movie at a decent hour for a change. Usually, he will hit me up about watching a movie around 9:00 or so. Tonight, though, he thought about it just before 8 pm. That is a time frame I can handle. We watched, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. It was not at all what I was expecting, but it was very good. Riveting, actually. I'm not sure how I'll sleep tonight, but I am glad I saw it. I spent a good chunk of my day outside. I mostly made messes, I guess. I raked in three smaller spots but didn't clean up what I drug out. I did, however, make progress on one of the raised beds that I needed to clean out before we can start tearing everything apart. One full garbage can later, I came in the house feeling somewhat accomplished for the day. I expect to get out again tomorrow to finish what I started today. Watching the birds on my breaks was so relaxing, particularly seeing the robins hunt for worms in the yard. I do enjoy that. DSon called today. It was good catching up with him for a while. If nothing else, hearing his voice recharged both mine and DH's batteries for a while. Kids have no idea what it means to their parents to hear their voices once they've moved away, I swear. I wish I could have bottled up the times we had with them when they were younger ... ala the Jim Croce song - Time in a Bottle. Tasty, I'm glad you found spring had sprung at your place when you returned from being away. Getting away is always nice, but so is coming home. Finding that shepherd's pie from the freezer sounds like a perfect way to celebrate being home. I do hope your hamstrings loosen up on you, Melissa. These early season workouts in the yard can be painful until our body readjusts. Good for you on being even warmer tomorrow! You deserve two nice weekend days. Donna, I am sorry to hear your headache has not gone away. That stinks! Prayers that tomorrow is better for you. Well, I am going to head off to bed now. Wishing everyone sweet dreams!

I'm thinking the weekend of May 4th you will be having a grand old time. I know you will enjoy it all!
