Good Morning, A cloudy start to this day its 33* and going to a high of 56*, no rain. Just sitting relaxing before going out the door.
Folks take it easy in this nice weather, remember our bodies have been napping all winter. I know, I didn't think I did that much yesterday, but the body tells me I over did.
See you Sunday evening!!

I hope Carol has lots of fun this weekend!
It is Earth Day. Daughter Jill's wedding anniversary. Her husband is visiting his mother in NJ.
I plan to plant my little flowering crab apple tree today.
I hope you all have a nice day.
Mary

Good Morning, it is overcast this morning with no wind and 38* on it's way up to 52* if they are right. Yesterday was pleasant with lots of sun and melting. I am thinking it got up to the mid 40's. Charlene and I went to town and got some sale items at Ace and then picked up groceries. It was so nice to get out but at the one stop I sat in the car and man, was it hot. The sun is getting a lot of strength. Nevermind, I keep forgetting it is late April and not Feb. The sun should have a lot of strength by now. I plan on getting out later today. Not sure what I will do but it doesn't matter, just so I am outside.
You all have a great day and like Carol said, take it easy.

Good Morning All, Jerry was up early this morning. He sold the little trailer he bought last fall. The guy is the new shop teacher up at the school. He wanted the trailer for his 4 wheeler. The lights wouldn't work when he was here but Jerry found a broken wire after he left and got the lights going again. He called him back and he came at 7 this morning to pick it up. Jerry wants to buy a bigger different trailer. Jerry then left for a sale.
Me, I think I'm going to go down to S&D and have some breakfast.
I don't know if Jerry will make it back in time but his sister, Peg, is coming over to Gloria's to explain her decision to have the brain surgery on two of her tumors. I guess there is really no other option. If she does nothing she will be in a wheelchair or bed in 5 years and not know anyone. I agree with her decision but the 12-14 hr. surgery is going to be rough.
Well, I'll check back later.
It's now 11:50 and I just got home. I'm thinking my going for breakfast was meant to be, a 'God Moment'. I've known Shirley for many years; we worked at the same factory. Most of her family is gone; I think she only has a sister left. She walks down to the cafe every day and many times eats alone. She was just getting a booth as I got there so I sat with her She has mentioned many times that she hates to eat alone. Well, in our talking she was telling me that she just had to have her little 15 yr. old dog, Duke, put to sleep a couple days ago. She only lives about a block distance from the vet clinic, so she had walked down to ask them about putting him down. She said he was totally blind and starting to shake a lot. The gal who has groomed him his entire life came to her house and picked him up and took care of everything. They put him to sleep and then cremated him. They made a commemorative plaster plaque using his paw prints and added things to go with his ashes in his memory. Now how cool of a vet clinic is that. I'm positive my purpose to go down there at that specific time was to help Shirley through her loss of Duke. We were done with breakfast and about to leave and it started to sprinkle. She said maybe it was Duke crying. Awwww...........She mentioned that she would always think about having to get home to let Duke out and now she didn't have to do that. Since it was sprinkling and Shirley doesn't drive I gave her a ride home. I looked at the Humane Society website but didn't see any little short haired dogs that were up for adoption. I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

Have a fun weekend Carol. We worked outside Friday and filled both big garbage containers. Trash pickup is not until next Thursday. We then went to the BB game which our boys won. The wind was out of the south that day...usually north wind but this field had a big hill on the north side so we still got hit.
Today we went to DGD horse show and on the way home i remembered that is is Papillion Cleanup days where you can take things you need to get rid of to a designated site and they will accept them if you have proof of your address, like your water bill, so DH took both those big containers down and dumped them. Yeah, now we can do more yard cleanup this coming week.
Lair, I hope you do get out and get a breath of fresh air today.
Mary in Michigan, I love crab apple trees. Hope yours does well.
Mary, God knew you should go to breakfast and that you were the answer that Shirley needed today. Thank you for taking her under your wing today!
DD should be coming soon. She wants me to go to Lowe's to look at carpet and get some paint for her basement. When her old dog died, she had a big ACCIDENT down there and she had to cut out a big chunk of the carpet so it needs redone. Hope we find just what she wants.
Have a great Saturday!
