Good morning friends. The sun was out today but I stayed in, too mucky and squishy to walk around. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support for Tamara. It's hard not being closer to her so I can support her more. Enjoy your day no matter what your plans are.

Good morning. Nice blue sky and sunshine when I woke up. A great way to start the day. Yesterday was nice but had things to do so I wasn't home much. Today is the same way. Hopefully tomorrow I can get my cold frame set up and do some cleaning up. Glad to Wendy got her gh up. Hope Kathy can get her gh put back to normal. These darn winds can be destructive. Waving to everyone!

Good morning everyone. 35º here this morning and supposed to get into the 50s. Yesterday was sunny and nice in the upper 40's. A lot of snow melted, but still a lot more yet to melt. Lair and I went to the neighboring town and got some stuff at Ace hardware and also got groceries.
This morning I have to go to DD's house to take pictures of DGS and his GF as this is prom day here. I'm sure I'll have a picture to share later.
This afternoon/evening I have to go to an 80th birthday party for Larry's brother. Hard to believe he is 80. It's days like these that I really miss Larry. He would so enjoy both events.
Donna...it is mucky and squishy here as well. I will continue to keep Tamara in my prayers. The poor thing has so much to endure.
Sandy...enjoy your sunny day and I hope you get that cold frame up....remember to take pictures to share!
Mary...I am glad you have birds and flowers to enjoy. I've got birds, but waiting patiently for flowers. Sounds like a fun day for you today....enjoy!
Angela...I bet you do wish that moving day was over. You have moved many boxes to the garage already though, correct? That should help some on moving day.
Dave...So it is an old tractor show/swap meet? We have one of those here every year. My sister and brother actually belong to an Antique tractor club. My BIL restored and an old John Deere A and my sister has an old 48 Ford tractor like my Dad had on the farm.
Wishing you all a great day. Charlene

Good Morning,
Just stopping by for a quick chat as I want to get some things done outside before I have to leave for DB's house. Get the front yard cut if nothing else.
Donna, I'm sending your meme right back to you as I wish the same for you.
Charlene, you are catching up with me. It is sunny, 41º & only to get into mid 50s or so they say. Max wants to go to the beach for a while this morning before coming to his Uncle's. A little too chilly for that, but I suspect that was a bribe to get him to come to the Fish Fry. Not many kids his age will be there. I see you said today is Prom Day. Ours was never that early. Pictures this morning? They get ready that early?
Mary my Niece & her DH are into those Renaissance Festivals. That sounds like what you are going to? Have fun.

Good morning. 36 but warming up quick now that the sun is getting higher. Should see 57 today. I had to get up early and drive ds to school to get the bus for a tennis meet. We opted to stay home and do some chores vs driving the 70 minutes. He'll have some home meets coming up. I want to work on beds, dh already has meat in the smoker, I've got plants watered and sorted already this morning. I took all the perennials off the shelves and am going to start working on getting them outside. Time to toughen up!! I plan to pot up a couple petunia baskets this morning as well, but those will be inside for quite a while yet.
Wishing everyone a great Saturday!

Good morning. It is sunny and cool here to start our day. Should warm up, though, into the upper 50s. I think I will bundle up this morning and head out to see what I want to do as it warms up. Yesterday taught me to not wait "until" before I started planning my work.
Last night, I slept with a small pillow under my back where it has been bothering me. I had only minor irritation when I turned onto my side after that. I may have to rethink my head pillow and body positioning considering the difference that made. I generally like to have a head rest behind me with my head propped up slightly as I sleep. Perhaps that will need to change.
Other than cleaning up the backyard a bit today, the only other thing I have on my agenda is to talk to DSon later on. He said he would give us a call today. It's been too long since we've talked to him so I hope he does that.
What a beautiful meme, Donna! The visual aspect is striking and the sentiment so loving. I hope you have an enjoyable day today also.
Sandy, may the rest of your day be just as nice as the start has been.
Yes, Mary, it is wonderful to see the flowers in bloom and hear the birds sing. It's what we've waited months for, and now we can enjoy them both. Have a great time out today with your DD.
Hugs to you, Charlene! I can see how today is going to be bittersweet. Picture taking is always a fun part of Prom Day. I hope the kids enjoy themselves. Happy Birthday to Larry's brother. May you feel Larry's loving spirit throughout the day!
Gayle, I hope you can get what you want done before heading to your DB's. DH's cousin cut his parent's and our front lawn yesterday. It looked so nice and smelled so good when he was done. Safe traveling to you.
Guess I better get started with my day. Have a sensational Saturday however yours will be spent!

Good morning. I have been up and read some posts on my phone earlier but didn't want to use it too much because of what I think are battery issues. I'm going to order a new one today. It seems that when then battery gets down to 60 to 70% it loses my ATT signal so I only have wifi when I'm at home. I was thinking it was the SIM card, an may still be part of it, but I have found that if I charge it completely, then wait a few minutes, it comes back up. So the battery will be the first thing I replace.
I fixed breakfast and ate, and then decided to start cleaning while I wait for it to warm up a little more outside. Then I noticed a hummer at the feeder, the first of the season. YAY! So I quickly got the feeder and cleaned and refilled it since it had probably been more than a few days. Now he has fresh food.
I am a little bummed that I didn't start seeds, so have no seedlings to plant this year, but I see that I already need to thin the cleome in the bed where they were last year. I plan to DS some more as I collected a zillion seeds. Since I cut down my shrubs I will just throw annual seeds all in those areas until I get around to getting the rest of the stumps dug up and something else planted. I did pull out my seeds last night and later today I will put down the compost, pull some more weeds and start planting. We are to get rain Monday, so perhaps they will get watered in, unless they wash away. I also put the moonflower vine seeds to soak, so I need to partially empty that pot and refill with potting soil. While outside a few minutes ago I noticed that the black/blue dahlia isn't up. I should have planted it in the ground last fall, so I guess that is my fault. But I'll give it a little more time before I toss it.
Gayle, hope Max enjoys the beach and the fish fry. That reminded me of DGS#2 a few days ago. His parents bought him an inflatable pool and they set it up and filled it. Even though it was warm that day, they didn't have time for the water to warm up, but DGS got in it anyway. He told me Thursday night that it was cold.
Charlene, I know this will be another bittersweet day for you but Larry will certainly be there in spirit.
Mary, if it is a Renaissance Festival, I have been to 2. There is one near Charlotte every October. The last time I went, however, in 2016, it was so crowded. I guess it has grown a lot since the first time I went in 2006. It is interesting.
Guess I need to get some cleaning done so I can get outside. Have a super Saturday.

Good morning. I just took Carmel rolls out of the oven. When they are cool I will eat one or two.Lol.
We have a good friend who has brain cancer and it is growing rapid and is now in his brain stem. There is nothing the Mayo can do. We are praying it warms up fast so we can head to the lake and then go see him. He is 38 and has 2 children.
Donna- love the meme. That is my wish for you as well.
Charlene-it sounds like a fun day for you. Larry will be there in spirit with you. Hugs. I can't wait to see the prom pictures. I loved watching the kids dress up for the prom.
Mary- we have been to the renaissance festival a few times in Shakopee,mn. I loved it but after going a few times it was so repetitive.
My hummingbird feeders are getting low so I will take them down this week and wash them and put them away until October.
Karen- I am glad the pillow helped with your sleep last night.
I have given the rolls enough time to cool.Lol. see you later.ELAINE
