Some before and after pics of todays chores. The beds on the south side are clear of snow and things are growing I had to clean off last years debris so they don't smother or rot. I did leave a light mulched leaf layer around a few things so the cold nights don't zap them. Before looking east then west. After of the whole bed looking west. Bed on se side partly thawed and some plants growing so cleaned off too. Don't look across the yard. Too depressing tho melting good today.

Doesn't it feel great to get out there & do that. Always such a sense of accomplishment. Looking good.
I hope to at least get the front yard cut before leaving here tomorrow to go to DB's.

Looking good Melissa!
After today's sun I can see a few spots of bare ground but still have many areas of 6 inch snow.

We were outside today too and got what I call the west fence bed cleaned off. DH mowed up the leaves and mowed the back yard. I got the Lime Light Hydrangea trimmed up too. And the best part is I do not even hurt that much tonight. We also got in a BB game today in which our kids won so all around a great day!
Melissa, I am happy you got rid of some snow and had a 'warm' day in your neck of the woods today.

You made a lot of progress yesterday. How's the back after all of that work. I plan on starting cleaning off a couple of beds tomorrow and Monday. The beds south of the GH should be melted by then. It will be a while before the north beds can be cleared as there is a foot of snow on them. Rain forecast for Tuesday, so that should take some of that snow. Soon you'll be sharing spring flowers. Thanks everyone. It felt great to be out playing. I should have shown the yard next to the bed. That is where everything is currently piled up I took off the beds. Whoops! I plan to rake it on a tarp and haul it to the woods today. Too much debris to put in my little wagon, my wheelbarrow is froze to the ground behind my shed, and too much snow to try to push thru to the woods anyway. Too wet and mucky to use the 4 wheeler.
It will be a long time before I can do the north beds. Probably 2' of snow on the one closest to the sidewalk as snow gets tossed on there during shoveling. Thats always the last bed to be uncovered. Going to work on the hill beds today. My back actually feels good. My hamstrings are tight tho from bending over!
