Good morning.
It hit 90 here yesterday. Today will be a bit cooler but it will heat up again Friday.
Dinner last night was Costco pizza. The girls and I went shopping after school so it made for an easy dinner. DD had her ortho issue fixed.
Dinner tonight will be shredded Mexican turkey breast sandwiches. Baked fries and salad.
Have a great day.

Good morning. 22 overnight but a nice sunny morning. I didn't get my baby yesterday as DGD is sick. It will be Friday now. I did get laundry done or should I say almost done. Need to fold a load and dry one more and fold. Also got the 4' bench into the greenhouse and lights moved around upstairs. Last night I cleaned out the basement of all winters bags of burnables and got them burned. My basement looked like a dump site so was glad to get that done.
Today I will get the rest of the geraniums moved into the greenhouse and one of the seed racks from upstairs into the greenhouse. I still have lots of transplanting to do, seeds to plant and rearrange plants under lights by height.
Have a meeting tonight so need to get minutes typed and also type minutes and send out notices for next Monday night's meeting. Tonight we will be reviewing the budget for next year so need to look that over. I am afraid it will be a long meeting.
Tonight's dinner will be kielbasa and sauerkraut.
Have a great day.

Just made a Banana Nut cake in bundt pan for Mark to take to work on Friday. Has nuts and whipped egg whites and melted chocolate chips melted in it. Never made it before so had 4 small bananas in freezer so tried it out. Will make my salads for tomorrow night and fill up my frig. Going to make a orange salad w/pineapple and buttermilk it is always good and a grape salad. Will have a bread and butter roast w/ potatoes, carrots and onions in it and fresh buns. For dessert will have a strawberry /rhubarb pie and coconut cream pie so there is a choice!!
So have to dust a little and hit some of high spots, did get the laundry done except for one load will tonight after my shower, just the towels. Pat will be here Friday to do the whole house vacuuming. I don't get it very dirty as I am cleaning something everyday it seems.
Bet hope the DGD gets over the bug real fast too. Hate to see the little ones sick. Betsy your pizza sounded good that you had last night. what you are having tonight sounds also good ! I always think other peoples food sound so good compared to what I make. That is why I like to go away to eat other peoples food. I hope my guests feel the same way.
Chuck and Linda were planning to go away for 3 days and celebrate their Ann. But weather is not sounding good. We are to get more snow!! I was going to take care of their dogs. So will see what happens.
Have a great day everyone. Marlene

You know the weather doesn't sound good when the meteorologist apologizes ahead of time for the forecast. Rain for at least the next 7 days! They've used the dreaded "S" word again by this weekend but I don't think it will be anything that sticks. It's the principal of the thing, though! Phooey.
Would someone like me to post the Westport Dressing recipe that Waterlily posted in yesterday's thread as a separate thread? It wouldn't take much. I've done my share of looking for recipes that have been posted in chat threads and this might help. Bet is really busy and this might simplify things. When we were doing the Cooking for 2 at TOH, we tried to make separate threads for any recipes--it made it easier to index them later.

Good Morning ! Need to make this quick. I am going to get ready then go over and see Helen. Today is her 91st birthday. I found 5 large print books for her yesterday at the resale shop. Four are Danielle Steel which she loves. Also a Nora Roberts. I am also going to give her an IOU for a cherry pie-her favorite dessert. Last year she got cherry pie from the kitchen too, along with mine, so just in case, I will not make one until she says she wants it. It is also our middle sons birthday. I got his card mailed in time.
Today I am going with a group from CARE to a town about 50 miles away. There is a really good fried chicken restaurant there, so we are going for lunch. They serve only fried chicken and lots of sides, all family style. I am not going to worry about supper, I won't need anything. I'll find something for DH.
Today is sunny and will reach 80. Waving to everyone!

Birdy, think posting recipes separately is a great idea. Am just going looking for the Chicken and Noodles but think I put it on the PC.

Good morning. It is warm already and only 10:30. We just finished shuffleboard. When I was picking up the wax I must of got up to fast as I staggered and fell against the bench.
I amsitting outside in shade to cool down before going into house with the air on.
We have potluck tonight and was going to make lasagna for it but I am not starting oven or boiling noodles. I am going to store and buy some frozen meatballs and put in gravy in the slow cooker.
Tamara- I love fried chicken. It should be a fun lunch with your friends.
Bet- it sure sounds cold where you are just like back home.

Good evening friends. It's been a busy day and I only have a few minutes before I put dinner on the table.
Since no call came in by 7:30 this morning, I got myself dressed and was out the door by 7:50. Drove over to Lucky's then down to Sprouts. Wanted to take advantage of double sale day items from last week and this week. Once I got everything cut up and packed away, I went for a quick bike ride. Then it was time to stay in the kitchen and get something done. Took the leftover roast beef and make a pot of Roast Beef and Barley Soup (TOH recipe) and then a Shepard's Pie for dinner this evening.
Waving to all and wishing everyone a relaxing evening.

Mission Accomplished! Yes, my hair is very much shorter than it was this time yesterday. Thank goodness. It's very hot so I didn't run any other errands today. Anyway, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so can take time then. Supper was a repeat of last nite and just as good. I didn't sleep well so am feeling tired. Good reason to put my head down a little sooner. Sweet dreams.

It has been a beautiful day here in upstate SC. The azaleas are blooming like crazy right now.
After choir practice tonight, DH & I went to Arbys for a quick supper. He was going back to the university, as one of his students is in a play this week and had invited him to come see it. He had another ticket but I knew that would be too late a night for me in the middle of the week. And, I admit, it's nice to have a quiet evening at home by myself.
Laundry is going and I need to get my gym bag packed and ready for tomorrow.
Marlene, I want to come have dinner at your house!
Betsy, I'm curious about the Mexican turkey sandwiches. How do you make those?
Bet, yay for getting stuff out of the basement. It always makes me feel better to get things cleared out.
Tammy, I hope you enjoyed the fried chicken. Nothing better than really good fried chicken, and it's one of those things I did not get the knack of. My mother's was so good, and I have never been able to duplicate it.
Helen, I know you feel better after getting your hair cut!
Lori, you really got a lot of meals out of that beef roast. They all sound good.
Elaine, be careful out there! I hope you didn't hurt anything.
Pippin and Birdy, I agree that posting the recipes separately makes it a lot easier to find them.
Hope everybody has a good evening --
