Good morning friends.
I tried to sleep in but too much noise around here! There's a town wide yard sale today and there's a tree service company trimming a tree. Trimming a tree is fine but not at 7:30 in the morning! The ordinance states you can start at 8:00!
I will be back later. Going to make coffee!
Enjoy your day.

Good Morning ! Or not such a great morning for you Nancy. Sometimes a campground can be a noisy place early in the morning-motorcycles starting up, lawn mowing, motorhomes warming up engines before they leave, etc. I can relate.
I talked to my friend Mary for about an hour lastnight. She's the one whose DH just passed away. She is doing well. I shared with her the news that we will be having a new grandbaby, so I hoped that cheered her some.
We almost never got any tv here. We have 3 different satellites available and it seemed none would work. There is heavy forest surrounding the campground however, the very center and all around the RV it is clear, so I hoped everything would be ok. Finally DH got one of the portable satellites placed where it can pick up some channels, but not all. Unfortunately I don't get the Food Network.
Right now it's sunny. DH has a list with gps address' for all the covered bridges in the state! We are going to see some and also some of the stone arch bridges. He thinks it will be a 3 hour trip then we will come back and do laundry. Guess I had better give some thought to supper. Nothing is thawed, but I do have some meat in the freezer.
I sure you all have a great day!

I was up late last night for me. We had a wonderful time. Food was excellent and company was great also. We came back here with full tummies!! The ice cream cake was so good too. Easy dessert.
Red decided he wanted me up at 7:00 so laid there for awhile and he won ! So now he is sleeping again!
Today will do my little washing and get things caught up and hopefully get some spraying done. Nothing to strenuous!!

Good Saturday morning to everyone. It is a beautiful morning here with the sun shining and nice temperatures. I did my morning chores before I would let myself get on the computer. I make it sound like I really have chores to do-- just your usual little daily stuff in the house. My neighbor did bring me a nice big tenderloin for lunch/supper yesterday, it was so good. The place she got it from cuts there own and they are very generous portions. I think they are the best in the town where I live, and also the most yummy breading on them. They are the real thing. I hope everyone will have a good Saturday.

Good Saturday, friends! It's another banner "fall" day. It looks like some desperately needed rain is on the way.
Tonight I'm cooking a sirloin tip roast I got at Aldi's. I made some mushroom flavored noodles and mixed it with a bleu cheese, bacon, and chive sauce to go with. We'll also have some steamed fresh green beans.
Lori - I have a pot with a steamer insert, but you could use any pot with one of those steamer baskets. I put a few inches of water in the bottom of the pan, cover and bring it to a boil. I put the eggs in the steamer insert and place it on top of the boiling water and cover it. I set the timer for 12 minutes. When it goes off, I take the pot off the heat and time another 2 minutes. When it goes off, I bring it to the sink and dump the hot water, place the eggs in the bottom pot, shake them around to crack the shells, and cover the eggs with cold water. When they are cool enough, I slip off the shells starting at that hollow end. So easy. Hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday. Tonight we are watching the "Brooklyn" DVD...just finished the book...great story. Waving to all!

Good afternoon CC friends I was up and out early this morning. Went to see my nephew start his Spartan Race called The Beast at Killington. His start time was 9:15 but with a 45 minute wait at the bottom just to get on a bus to get to see him start I was there very early. It is an hour away too. It was exciting though! Tammy- WE will be in Keene tomorrow. I see my Mom at 11 to about 2:30ish. What time would you like to meet? We could come earlier and find a good place to have breakfast with you or coffee (HC) later or early supper somewhere? Let me know what would work. Chris

Today is the Oktoberfest at our church. We always have a line waiting at the door to come in. People come from the surrounding counties. I guess the word is out that there is no charge. It's an outreach to the community. There is a basket for free will offerings. There is always a gentleman strolling around playing German music and there are dancers in authentic German clothes. Right now it's over cast and there is a chance of rain. We're keeping our fingers crossed that it goes north of us.
Chris, I'm looking forward to seeing you at the get together in Grove City. I hope Sue is able to join us. The last I heard we're expecting 20. It's always a great time visiting and seeing old friends.

Hey everybody. The Shakespeare outing last night didn't work out, but I think I will probably go on my own tomorrow afternoon --
Sara, meant to reply to you earlier about my name. It's Elza --
Today has been pretty quiet. We slept late and then ran some errands in town this morning -- took out the trash/recycling, took a couple boxes to Goodwill, left my engagement ring at the jewelers to be repaired (one of the prongs is bent). Drove over to Abbeville to pick up a few things from mom's and then had lunch at a deli there called Theo's. Love their chicken parmesan sub!
Right now I've got chicken cooking to make a double batch of pot pies. One will be dinner, probably Monday night, and the rest will go in the freezer. I need to finish cleaning the bathrooms too and work on music for church tomorrow.
Getting ready to turn on the TV to watch my Carolina Gamecocks. Hoping for a better showing than they had last week. Y'all enjoy your Saturday!

Hi again! We have been out sightseeing. We found all the local covered bridges, came home and ate a sandwich then went back out. We did not have too much luck finding stone arch bridges-only a couple. Dh printed off some directions but they were not correct. We did manage to find one more covered bridge.
Supper is a roast with potatoes and carrots. The roast cooked while we were gone and the rest will be ready in about 15 minutes.
I hope you manage to go and see the play tomorrow, Elza. Let us know all about it.
Chris, we have no plans for tomorrow. We are free all day, but since I am not a morning person, I'd prefer to meet you after you see your mom. Just tell us where to meet you as I don't know of any restaurants in the area. We eat most everything-nothing too exotic or spicy hot. I don't like seafood but Dh loves it. I will eat fried fish (think Long John Silvers) or some grilled salmon.
I hope Helen posts soon. I'm kind of worried about her.

Hello, Hello, Hello! I finally got logged in again late last night with the help of Nancy relating info to Bet. to get me on here again.
Funny thing is I never logged out but had a few days I was unable to come on to post so maybe it automatically logs you out? It kept saying I had to register and when I did it said someone with my name was already registered....ME! LOL Thank you ever so much ladies for your helpI I am very grateful and happy!!!!
Our weather cooled down nicely for the last week or so and I thoroughly enjoyed the fall like weather with thoughts of a big pot of something boiling away on the stove top, but its really warming up today and supposed to continue...what a teaser! Oh well I should be great full I'm above ground right!?!
I picked up a Costco rotisserie chicken on Thursday so I will use the breast meat to make the easy chicken pot pie that used to be on the Bisquick box. I always double the cream of chicken soup part which makes the roux. The crust is just Bisquick and milk mixed and poured over top sort of cobbler like. I used to make cole slaw to go with it when my guys were growing up but just for me the pie is enough!
I always make my own of version of the Lady's coleslaw and we love it (lemon pepper and Lowrey's season salt to the mayo, vinegar, etc. make it so tasty). I saw Valerie Bertanelli today add drained sweet crisp canned corn to hers on TV so I will add that next time, sounded real good!
Nancy I hope you are nowhere near that bomb that went off today! What is happening to our country? Congratulations on your new job! Sounds just perfect, especially if its at DD's school.
Tammy, Congratulations on your new upcoming new blessing. Love those grand babies❤️❤️ Marlene I hope your foot is healing! I had to laugh about red going back to sleep, always the way. I've been considering getting a small rescue dog for company, but I do cherish sleeping until "I" want to get up!!! My heart might win out over my love for sleep ha ha!
Sara, if I don't get chores done before sitting at the computer I could spend all day playing on it. I guess it's good that I'm online on my phone for now.
Elza. I have a garage full of aluminum (Diet Pepsi) cans and plastic water bottles to recycle, its out of hand.
Pippin, Red is our much loved board cat. That is Red and Nancy's neighbors cat Mr. Muffins who thinks he belongs to Nancy's family. Hope Mr. Muffins is ok and still around?
Hoping everyone is well and happy, I need to catch up on posts the from the last 2 or so weeks. I have had you all in my thoughts all this time.
Wishing everyone a blessed and happy day.
~Jan~
