yes almonds, come on over. i thot i ould spend $30 for fresh produce & a few items i was out of. well, that didn't work & I spent closer to $80. but think i am set now for both meat & produce. only thing i see coming up is when i run out f orange soda next week. just decided while i was buying prduce at 3 dif . places I'd just make sure i can go a couple weeks + without buying more!. i''d LOVE to not find a reason to go grocery shopping for the next few weeks. i was pretty sure i would be spending $30 -$40 today but sure sent a lot more than that! however i hope i can hold out for a few weeks!
i BAKED off 13 burgers today & dh ate one & i froze the rest for quick meals to coe. love that plan! tomorrow he'll be thrilled to have breaded shrimp with slad & some sort of sweet treat- probably chocolate blueberry cake with cool whip. trying to keep it simple & easy.
dh had hand surgery yesterday morning so he's sorta bunged up for the next week or more. poor many has been thru a lot of surgeries in the past 4 yrs...since i am nearly 3 yrs older i figured that would be me, not him. never know what life's going to hand you!

DH IS DOING WELL & GOT THE HUGE HAND WRAAP OFF LAST NITE & IS NOW COVERING WOULD WITH BIG PADDED WATERPROOF BANDAID. HE IS HAPPY ABOUT THAT! ALSO OUR PODLE HAD A GIANT CYST POP UP ON HER BACK 2WKS AGO & IT REQUIRED A SURGERY CLEAR ACROSS HER BACK WITH 16 HUGE PINK STITCHES ON TOP & A SMALLER TUMOR UNDERNEATH WITH ANOTHER 6 STITCHES. SO GOT HER STITCHES OUT TODAY. SO, DOG & DH ARE BOTH ON THE MEND NOW.
LAST NITE I FIXED DH HALF STRIP STEAK WITH 8 BREADED SHRIMP FRIED IN A LITTLE SKILLET ON STOVE TOP AND A NICE LETTUCE & HOME GROWN TOM. SALAD. TODAY HE'S GETTING A TURKEY BURGER, HOME CANNED TOMATO SOUP & FRESH SALAD & ANOTHER PIECE OF THAT BLUEBERRY CHOC CAKE WITH COOL WHIP. KEEPING IT SIMOLE AS POSSIBLE & USING UP ODDS & ENDS.

Hey, it's a good thing you are healthy Doogle, with hubby and the dog both requiring surgery. Guess hubby must have been a good patient, if you're spoiling him with steak and shrimp ;) .
