We had scrambled eggs, sausage patties, baked beans, and rye toast for supper. Nice change of pace. I fell getting out of bed in the middle of the nite Monday and am black and blue all over. Actually, almost purple now. Luckily, I can still move so am assuming I didn't break any bones. Amazing the amount of damage you can do yourself in just that short space from the top of the mattress to the floor. Sweet dreams.

Hi friends ! It's been a long day but a nice one. The weather was fine today. We left around 9:45 and headed to the Morgan horse farm. We enjoyed watching the video, seeing the horses and going on the tour. We ate lunch at a tiny place in the town of Brandon. We drove on to the Norman Rockwell museum. I bought a calendar for my friend Rhonda and I got a very small miniature book that contains all the Saturday Evening Post covers that he painted. We decided that we had time to go to the Vermont Country Store in Weston so did that where I bought some small gifts for the grandkids. We looked at a couple of other really cute shops in that town. We drove back through Plymouth Notch which was Calvin Coolidges hometown and where he is buried. (Did not stop anywhere). Oh, we also drove through Killington again. We passed it on the hiway but did not really see the town and I guess we missed the turn off to get into the town. A friend told us to see it. We did drive through, but it seemed pretty dead. Much more of a winter ski destination!
We have done pretty much everything on our to do list so tomorrow we may drive over to the King Arthur Flour place. It's probably only 30 minutes from here.
Ann, I have a brochure from Castle in the clouds and it's on my list to do next week!
Helen, so sorry you are sore from your fall. Take good care of yourself.
Tasty, I hope you enjoyed the banquet.
We are going to reheat some leftovers for supper tonight.
Waving to all!

Hugs to you (very gently) Helen! Ditto from me, Helen -- Valerian, your meal sounds delicious. Lucky neighbors! Tammy, I would love to hear about the King Arthur Flour visit if you go. I love their catalog and some of their recipes that are tried-and-true standards for me. Their Best Fudge Brownies Ever are the only ones I make. Not much cooking here this week -- it's been busy so far -- but I am going to put some chicken in the crockpot tomorrow to try out a new TOH recipe. I'm just using the chicken, not potatoes & carrots as the recipes says, but it uses canned green chiles and cream of onion soup. Sounds good to me! Tonight we went to Mama Penns so I enjoyed some good fried chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, and turnip greens. Then I went to the blood drive at our church. Tomorrow night I'm hoping to just come straight home from work. That hasn't happened yet this week.
