I have a very busy day ahead so I'm defrosting meatballs and sausage. We'll have pasta and garlic bread with it.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning from a steamy Eastern Ontario.
Fortunately for me, I do not have to cook tonight.as the lades are having our closing golf banquet, always a good time. Hubby will fend for himself this evening.
Hope your day goes smoothly, Nancy.

It seems lately eating hasn't really been on my mind so have just be coming up with something the last minute. Last night it was a Eastern Egg sandwich.
59 and sunny here this morning. To be another beautiful day. Yesterday was busy in the greenhouse. Transplanted 50 geranium starts for next year. Will be doing more cuttings of geraniums and some other plants today. This is a busy time in the greenhouse preparing for next year. Did get grocery shopping yesterday and picked up 2 nice top round roasts. Got one large one and will slice some of it thing and make cube steak from it before I freeze it. I wanted just half a pork loin but the butcher was gone by the time I got there so will check on that another day. Don't really need a whole one but would like a little more pork in the freezer and the price is right. Got the piping I need to alter the light hangers for the plants in the shop so hope to get them put together to day and see how that is going to work out there. Also picked a few more tomatoes so canned another 2 1/2 quarts last night. Still need a lot more.
Nancy, hope your busy day isn't too crazy.
Tasty, enjoy your banquet tonight.
Have a great day.

Going to go out for breakfast with Marge as we did not go out on my birthday. Had a nice time at neighbors last night and good food too. It was Bob's B-day on Monday too so the kids got him cake and served it too. His DIL told me we have your b-day cake too!
Nancy sounds like a busy day for you. Nice to have the freezer inventory ready to go. I love to do that. Tasty enjoy your time with the gals to wind down the golfing. It seems this summer went to fast! I hate the winters maybe that was on my mind too!!
Will go to locker and get me some meat today. I am out and really need some good Ground beef. Marlene

Good morning.
Another hot and sunny day here. I was busy all day yesterday but didn't seem to get anything done.
Neighbor has a gas leak and they have shut it off while they look for it, so I'll feed them lunch. Smoked sausage and pasta in Alfredo sauce with green chilies and Mozzarella. Green salad and apple crisp. The local Orchard has pick your own Jonathon apples ,so might check that out.
Enjoy your day

Good morning to everyone. The sun has been shining but as I started typing it is getting pretty dark out there. We are suppose to get some rain today, could be heavy at times. I have one great big and very full potted mum plant that the rain just can not get down in to help, so have to water it every day and sometimes twice a day. That is just how thick and full it is, keeps the rain out. Marlene while you are at the meat locker go ahead and get me some good hamburger and some good rib eye steaks, and a couple of good beef roasts--lol. I hope you had a good breakfast and a good day with Marge. Have a good day everyone and enjoy your supper tonight.

Afternoon, friends! Rain is just pulling out of the area...it was light rain, but it helped somewhat. Right now I'm setting a spell having a small glass of iced coffee (cold brew that I make myself in 2 quart batches). I just finished making DH some pickled jalapeno peppers that I got on the sale cart yesterday. The marinated mushrooms came out really good...I got 4 pints! I haven't done the arribbiatta sauce yet. Next project is to prep the veggies for a pork fried rice that we will have for dinner with some Aldi egg rolls and pot stickers. We went to Aldi's on the way home from the senior center. It's German food week! I got some pork schnitzel and a spinach streusel. I also got a large rack of St. Lewis ribs. DH will cook them using the microwave/grill directions for Kraft's Easy BBQ Ribs. We won't use the BBQ sauce suggested. I will use Steve Raichlen's rub and Vanilla-Brown Sugar glaze. Betsy - Did you root for the Sox!!?? Guess it was a great game. Marlene - Every time you mention going to the meat locker, I think about "Hog's Wings" you told me about. When I have room in the freezer, I'm going to get some more; they are so good. Bet - My grandfather used to take geraniums out of the soil and hang them in our cellar. Come spring he would put them back into new soil, and they would come right back. Right now I have some rooting in water. Kay - Nice of you to feed your neighbors; dinner sounds yummy!! Hi, Carole - Enjoy your BOGO lunch; we have a coupon to use at a place called Sylvan Street Grille. Looking forward to using it soon. I enjoy their shrimp dinner...always enough for two meals. Tasty - Have a good time at the golf banquet; what's the menu? Lori - Feeling better? Dinner sounds good! Nancy - I always get hungry when you mention your meatballs and sausage!!! Enjoy your evening! Waving to all!

We had a very good breakfast. The Downtowner Restaurant is so such good food. It is in Atlantic, IA. It is a small place, we had 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and choice of bacon or eggs. Was perfect. then went to Wal Mart and no lawn chairs but got two huge burgundy mums with tall fuzzy greens in the middle and two yellow Mums. It was pouring rain and it was noon so did not drive to locker. I stopped at the grocery store and got 5# 85% Ground beef and will make maid rites out of it. We did go to a farm store and bought some solar lights on sale really cheap. So we spent the whole morning. I did leave my diamond earrings at the jewelry store too to have different posts and backs put on them. They were my sister's and one post was bent and I really wanted them fixed, so will pick up later.
So now after running all morning think I will rest today as I sure didn't yesterday. Red says that is a good idea!! Marlene

Lori, I hope your feeling better today!
My backyard neighbor went into surgery this am. We have been friends for 39 years and this is a big surgery on her spine. She fell last year and vertebra keep slipping. She is at least 20 years older than me so Im worried! Just praying all goes well! Can't wait for her DD to post something on FB.
Wishing all a lovely evening. Write tomorrow after my Ortho appt.
