I was just putting away a stack of clean towels when I overheard an ad on TV. I nearly dropped the towels when I heard that the Hallmark channel was advertising this year's 19 new CHRISTMAS movies!! Good grief, is it just me or are they starting earlier every year? Wow.

Hope they don't start airing those Christmas movies until after Thanksgiving. They just might start before Thanksgiving, which is definitely too early in my opinion.

Tasty - No kidding, especially when the temps in these parts of Minnesota topped out at 80 degrees today with a dewpoint in the 70's!!
Countrygal - If I remember right, they DID start airing the movies before Thanksgiving last year. That irritates me as much as when a radio station here starts playing Christmas music 24/7 before Thanksgiving! 😡

I may be called a Grinch, but a couple of weeks before the 25th would be soon enough. I know that wouldn't be good for the stores etc but . . . .

Actually I saw that ad last week. Who really cares about Christmas movies around the start of school and Labor Day?

Not before Dec. 1st at the very earliest, please! Even that would be too early, imo! Tasty, I agree with the couple weeks but we know that likely won't be the case!

The Hallmark Stations had their annual Christmas in July week where they ran nonstop Christmas movies all week at that time. I heard they do it to begin promoting their annual collectible ornaments. Yes, very hard to think Christmas when it's s'posed to be 90º, muggy, and possible heavy thunderstorms over the next two days.

Here in Canada our Thanksgiving is in October so our Christmas "season" starts way to early. There's already been the odd Christmas movie on and the decor is coming out in the stores!

I dreamt about wrapping Christmas presents last night. I just wrapped the same one over and over. What a nightmare. I think it was from reading some of these posts, LOL

Way too early. While shopping Saturday Christmas things were out already, right next to the Halloween things. I was shocked.
