Am tired - but we, mostly DD and I got many boxes donated, sorted and stored or ready to go to storage. BIL is not doing well. MY sister was coming next Sat - but Norman's health will be a deciding factor. Hip is getting better with all of the therapy that I have been able to get here. Much better than going to the clinic. Just need to get house sold to help pay the bills. Goal is to have it spiffy for Fri to get it listed. Alma

Good evening Charlene and all. I was just reading up on the VIP and was wondering where Chit chat was.
Busy Monday at work today. After work I refilled the hummingbird feeders and walked about the yard pulling a few weeds. Not much different out there than before. I have a nice crop of marigolds that I didn't plant. A real pretty bloom on my pure white hibiscus that I started from seed someone sent me a few years back. Since I didn't do a lot of seed starting this year, I appreciate all my perennials and surprises.

I still can't find another one, so lets chat!
We did dig a lot of plants today. We had so many phlox that I decided to post "FREE PHLOX" on Larry's FB page. By time I posted that and walked downstairs one of our neighbors was already here to get some...lol. A few minutes later Lily and her DIL showed up to get some of them. We got rid of quite a few, but many more to go. Tomorrow my Dr is coming to get several plants. We didn't work too hard this afternoon since it was too humid and hot. We just can't handle that any more.
Donna...so glad to see you posting. The last we heard from you, you were getting shots the next day to help your hands...how is that going for you?
Stanette...congrats on 3rd place...I think that is pretty good since the weather was so hot. Good luck with work the next few days. Most people here still have lots of time to visit....I like that and that is actually something I miss about retirement.
I may be back after I finish the load of laundry I am working on. Good news is that the machines do all of the work..lol...I just need to transfer them from washer to dryer and then later fold them. I remember helping my Mom do laundry as a kid and it was much more work than it is now. Charlene

I've been on reading and catching up. I survived training today. Long and boring! It will be equally so tomorrow! Dd's volleyball team did win their game today. These late nights are hard to get back in to. Volleyball til 6, finishing dinner at 7. Makes the night go really fast. I'm tired after my long day so I will be ready for bed soon. Hope its a good night for all.

Charlene-If you have white I would love that color. I do hope we can make it in October, and hopefully that won't be too late to transplant.

Worked steadily, cutting back and weeding this morning.
Stopped again to admire my hibiscus, 9 big blooms on it all the size of dinner plates. This one is a dark red and I'm thinking I'd like to get another one come spring - I'm sure I can find room for one.
Late this afternoon hubby took the ride-on out and cut grass for a couple of hours and I had the small mower out, to cut around his grape vines.
Although we are still desperately short of rain, the rain we have had has suddenly made the grass and weeds grow - rapidly!

Good late evening everyone...Just passing through and wanted to see what everyone has been up to today. Wow Charlene I don't know how you can work out doors in such hot weather.
Yes I got a total of 6 shots Charlene, the entry points where the needle went in are very sensitive. A bit of relief and hopefully more to come. Thank you for asking.
It's not going to cool down for a few days so hopefully we will be able to get some outside working time this week.
Well off to read a few more posts while waiting for laundry to finish.
Have a peaceful evening everyone.

Good evening. Not much to tell you. Worked some more on the d'way bed til it got too hot.
Didn't do much after that except for laundry & it sounds like this was laundry day for everybody.
Charlene, I remember helping my mom fold sheets. Everything went on a clothes line back then. And there were these metal frame type things that went into my Dad's dress pants to keep a crease in them, I think. Oh & everything got ironed & remember starching things? What didn't get ironed that day, got "dampened", rolled up & put in the frig til later. I have no idea why.
