really nice day. It got warm this afternoon but it is August.
I finally got the big Daylily bed cleaned up. Tomorrow I start on the d'way bed (again) & I'm going to start pulling some of the dead grass out of the d'way itself before it grows back again.
I worked in the Daylily bed till about 1:30-2 PM. Then the sun moved & it started getting hot. So I broke for lunch, took a shower & ran errands. Grocery store, bank & gas.
Went back out there this evening & finished it up. A lot of grass & volunteer Coneflowers. A few came up in there last year & didn't look so bad in the spot they came up in so I left them. Those few turned into dozens scattered all through the bed this year. I pulled them all out.
Had a late supper of Pizza & going to watch Mt. Men & Ice Road Truckers in a few minutes.
Charlene you mentioned Night Shift this morning I watch that too. I watch almost all the medical & cop shows.

Good evening everyone. Looks like everyone is too busy to Chat. I'm just watching TV enjoying some new shows. Tim says I have seen them but with my memory they are new to me. We had a pretty day but it wasn't so nice if you had to work in it. I was so humid and 80* seemed like a sauna. I went out and worked in the garden and ended up having to be helped to the house by a neighbor. The results of that ended up in a restful afternoon. Hope you all had a nice day.

It was a beautiful day. Like Karen, I would love to have this kind of weather 10 months of the year, one month of spring and one month of winter.
Nothing exciting to report. I must have the most boring life in the world.
Going to watch Big Brother and then go to bed early.

Lair, I'm sure you don't need to be reminded to be careful when it's hot and humid.
Hubby and I golfed this morning and although it was humid, it was also cloudy and stayed that way so it wasn't bad. Under normal conditions we both prefer to walk but this summer, mostly we have ridden.
This afternoon I spent about an hour weeding the perennial beds and then picked our raspberries - about 3/4 lb today.
The rest of the day was spent inside in the a/c.
Have a great evening.

Good evening. Not a whole lot to add from what I posted earlier today. I did plenty of chatting on the phone with DM and DSis#3 throughout the day. Both seemed to want to talk - a while, so that took up a chunk of the day. I did some laundry and the dishes I had left in the sink when we went to the basement last night for the storms. I tried to go out and mark the flowers I wanted to save seeds from, but it was so stinking hot and humid that I decided to wait out the weather. The forecast looks better for tomorrow and the weekend, so that is when I will try again. I did more sorting through my "distant cousin" DNA matches on Ancestry. That is a tedious task that I can only do for so long. I don't have a lot of DNA matches with most of these people, so it takes a while to find someone I need to make a note for if they do match. Something is still going on with that site and my computer. I'm good on everything on Ancestry except the DNA page. For some reason that causes my computer to freeze up if I am on it too long. I need to call them about that to see what I can do. It was just a regular day around here. Thankfully we did not get a repeat of yesterday's weather, which was a possibility. It went to the east of us, I guess.
Oh boy, just looked at the clock and realized that Big Brother is on now. Since I didn't see last night due to the continual weather coverage, I think I should try and catch up tonight. Thanks to Kathy for catching me up on that.
Hope you all had a great day!

Just stopping in to say Hi. Been a warm, muggy day here in the 80's. We had rain overnight and early morning, too. It was cloudy off and on today but didn't rain and had a nice breeze but the house if warm tonight so the window a/c and window fans and ceiling fans are all whirling.
I heard a couple of beeps on TV which meant the county next door to us is to have some storms tonight. The heat always produces storms of one kind or another. The sky tonight had some dark clouds and a large white one with the sun shining behind it and it was so pretty. It was near sunset time and can sit in sun room and watch it every night and the fascinating sky.
I sprayed some weed killer along the sun room to kill the weeds growing in the cracks. Too close to put the weed trimmer, so either spray them or dig them out by hand.
Going to sit out in sun room now and catch up on reading one section of the morning paper I never got to. I slept in late this morning and that is not like me, so my sleep schedule is all botched up. The other 2 mornings I was up at 5:00 AM having my coffee, checking out the news and weather on TV. I enjoy that early quiet time, and usually my usual time is 6 AM or shortly after. Maybe I will get back to the way I was getting up and my schedule will get straightened out~!
Hope all had a great day and have a good sleep tonight!

Hi all! A nice evening here, too! Thought it was supposed to be a stormy day here today but it didnt happen! It still might overnight, however. Like others said, it got pretty hot and muggy today. I watered my small veggie garden which is still going on here but mostly did various chores inside in the a/c. Got some shelf units cleared off and did some paper work that had to be in the mailbox soon. Gayle, you must feel good about your flower beds now! Karen, glad you were okay after your storms! Hi Kathy, Lair, Posy, and all yet to post! Karen, I have found "long lost cousins" on fb! ones living currently, too! Some I grew up with, others I never met before but heard of them before! Not sure why I am double spacing now! Lol!

Nice day here - but cloudy part of time. PT and hurt for 2 hours - but tonight feeling good and walking W/O cane. Spent time at senior center as I was close to pay a bill. They had extra dinner - then worked on jigsaw puzzle. I think it is over 2 months - but only two of us work on it - and we don't want to give up - but it is to the very hard parts. But a good way to wear off the pain.
DD comes tomorrow so I probably won't be back till Monday!

Good evening my friends! It was such a beautiful day here weather-wise. The temps were perfect and the humidity was low. I did manage to take advantage of that and did some chopping down of drowned/mildewed flowers. I also decided to swap out a lot of flowers (containers) from throughout the yard and change them with many plants on the front porch. I guess we are going with the fall look right now. It might seem early, but we may be getting frost in less than a month. Last year we got our 1st killing frost on Sept 15. Sad to think about that, isn't it?
Gayle...coneflowers are a problem for me as well. I usually leave many heads for the birds for winter food. Of course, many of them reseed and then I have them many places that I do not want them. A few years ago I pulled many out and then the ones I left got Aster Yellows, so I had to discard them. Thank goodness a few did reseed and come back the next year and kathy started a few for me. Gardening is such a battle, ins't it?
So glad to see Tasty and Posy joining us tonight. Tasty...I am so envious when you talk about golfing. Larry and I tried that a couple of years. I LOVED it and he wasn't so wild about it, so "we" decided to hang it up. I thought it was so relaxing and I actually was pretty good at it...not an expert, but the guy that gave us golf lessons told me that I was a natural. It kind of replaced a void in my life that I had since I quit playing fast pitch softball (I quit when I turned 40). I forget...where are you located?
Posy...our bodies can certainly get mixed up, can't they/ I usually get up around 6 to 6:30, but this morning I slept in until after 7. It was so nice and cool for sleeping. I'd probably stayed sleeping longer, but Mother Nature was calling...lol.
Kathy...is this BB just a quick summer version? I check the guide and it seems like it is on every night.
Karen...you must have decided to renew your membership to Ancestry? I know at one time you were talking about letting it lapse for a while.
Marg...hello and glad you had a nice day and hope it continues throughout the evening.
Right now I am getting tired...see you all in the morning! Charlene

Hey everyone, yikes I started this right at midnight so not sure what I might turn into!!!!!
It was so stinking hot out today I only reached out to get the mail. We did have a light rain tonight but it didn't take any of the humidity out of the air so the same thing again tomorrow (well today)
Nothing new so I will just say goodnight, hope everyone has a peaceful sleep and no nasty weather.
