Hope everyone had a nice day. Got up to the mid 80s today so a bit warmer than expected. I think tomorrow is supposed to be cooler. There is a really nice breeze coming in the south windows again tonight. Its frustrating b/c the mosquitos have been so bad the last couple weeks. I went to the garden to dig some potatoes and carrots for supper and I was literally swarmed by them. It was awful! I picked 2 heads of cauli I will have to blanch yet tonight. I also pulled 5 yellow beets. A couple of them are the size of softballs. Will get several meals out of those babies!
Got my home visit done, ran home for an hour, then drove dd to volleyball. Went to work but didn't get a ton accomplished. I did get a few more visits scheduled. Think I only have 5 left to schedule. Picked up dd then home to make dinner.
This morning to make me stop thinking about ds growing up I went out and did what all good gardeners do. I dug a new flower bed! I have a bit more of the crappy clay to take out, then lots of amending to do. I found a huge rock that I will need help getting out and an even bigger random clump of cement! I have no clue why thats there but its about 18" across and no clue how deep it goes. Always something! lol

Hi Melissa! Looks like everyone is busy this evening.
I don't have all that much to add to what I posted this morning. I did get a chance to
dig out some lilies to give to my neighbor that lives in the back of my backyard lot.
The dragonfly sweater is finished. I had a chance to block it and sew it up while
the electrician installed a light fixture to the ceiling. It's about time. That room
only had a lamp which did not give enough light. Why did I wait so many years to
this is beyond me.
Looks like it's bathtime and then a bit of tv.

Good evening.
It was supposed to get up to 86 today but only made it to 74 with low humidity and a nice wind so it was a beautiful day.
Melissa make sure that isn't a cover for an old well or cistern before you mess with it. There is one between my driveway and the neighbors driveway and soil and grass has grown over it. I always make sure I don't walk over it in case it gives way. You can tell where it is because it is sunken in that area.
I did nothing after work except to make a chocolate cake (from scratch) with brown sugar frosting. I also took an hour nap. Now I will watch Zoo and then probably go to bed since I am still tired.

LOL That is what I have wondered at times. Many things never got done in those 22 years - but it was a fun place to live and garden. Alma

The weather has been lovely here today - very comfortable temps to be outside working. Didn't get the chance to do that today as I spent the morning canning and then the afternoon at the computer.
It's hubby's birthday tomorrow but he has a meeting in the evening and it's my golf night so we went out tonight for dinner. When I phoned to book a table, I asked for a window table. The windows are actually patio doors and of course, being a lovely day they were open and, yes we got our table. Had a great meal and just nice to have the time to sit and relax and talk.
Just think, mnwildflowers, you'll always have your garden to remind you of this day, the day your eldest started his senior year. Can't say I remember that day in my son's life but I do remember his first day in high school - a long time ago now. It is part of being a mom! Hope your day turned into a good one.

I know it's late but wanted to pop in to say hello to everyone......We had 2 days with low humidity but it will be back tomorrow...opppsss it's today already :)
Did manage to spend some time outdoors but when the weather co-operates the body doesn't//// I know whine, whine, whine!!!!!!
I am scheduled to have some shots in my hands so maybe after the weekend I will be able to type a bit more....hoping to get some relief for a while.
I hope everyone is sleeping peacefully...good night all.
