My oldest son started his first day of his senior year today. He'll be completing his senior year of high school and his first year of college at the same time at our local community college. I just can't figure out where the time went. Seems like only yesterday he was off to kindergarten. Thank God I have 3 more children at home for a while yet! I was ok until I pulled out his 1st day of K picture. I haven't stopped crying since!!

Very handsome! Never heard that expression before about crying! Lol! Thought at first you were going to share a pic of yourself standing in a big rain puddle! Ha! Different expressions in different areas, i guess!

Very handsome young man, you can be so proud of him. Senior year and college in one year, great.
I understand how you feel.

Ah, Melissa! He is a handsome young man now & was a cute youngster as well. Good for him working so hard at school. Sounds like he must have plans for his future. Be proud of him and proud of your hard work as a parent.

Oh, Melissa, I feel your pain! I was a total wreck when our DD went to college. I don't think it dawned on me quite yet in her senior year to think about what was to come. I wish both of my kids had done post-secondary like your DSon is doing. I talked them out of that because I wanted them to "enjoy" their time in high school Joke was on me, though, because they really didn't.
Your son is a handsome fellow, and I know he will do great this year. So will you! Just give yourself some time. Hugs!!!

I'll be a blubbering idiot in a week and a half. I won't let see me cry. They sure do grow up fast.

Melissa..I even got a tear in my eye looking at the 2 pictures, so I am sure it is bothering you. You can be very proud of him! He has a plan and is doing his best to implement that plan. I'd say that is thanks to good parental guidance. Charlene

Your son is very handsome. I have two sons. It didn't bother me so much when they graduated from H.S. But, when they both had birthdays this year they are both in their 50's(52-50). Now that bothered me. I turned 72 this year & didn't miss a beat. But, when the 50 things happened I had a couple days of remembering. Now, I tell them they are getting "OLD" not me. haha! Your son has a very determined look in his eyes, he will be fine. You hang in there. Take care, Happy Gardening, nanatznone6

What a handsome young man! At least he will still be living at home, won't he? I cried for 3 days after dropping our youngest son off at college. The house wasn't the same after that. Too quiet, no more young people going in and out. I missed that so much.

He is a very handsome young man, I can see why you would be proud of him. My niece did her junior and senior year along with college and graduated from college at age 17. As she was so young she then went to work for a couple of years before starting medical school. She has been a doctor for over ten years now. It's still hard for me at times to believe how fast the years went by.

You must be so proud of him. I agree with his handsomeness. He will make a lot of girls happy to share studying with them.
