Hello again. Our satellite just went out (TV). A minor TS in progress; very little lightning or thunder but pouring rain. First good rain we've had in weeks.
I got about 1/2 of the daylily bed cleaned up today before it got hot. Was thinking about going back to it this evening but didn't. It'll have to wait. At least all the grass is cut.
I'll probably be working a fairly long day tomorrow so might not see y'all in the morning.
How was your day?

Good evening Gayle, I hope your temps have dropped like ours did today. Very comfortable until I really got in to a job. Since I am working on an up coming garage sale I am going thru a lot of areas. Back in 1956 we built a playhouse for our daughters and then eventually it became mine. I had it decorated so cute but have mostly stripped it now . Even down to the round braided rug. The curtains can stay tho. It has been a quiet Sunday. The storm that went through yesterday evening did a lot of damage north of me .so many trees down. They are saying it was a tornado.
Hi to any that post after me. MARY

Spent some time at house. got one table sold- so the 4 day garage sale was profitable. This is my 3rdtimee posting and not sure what to do next. Too many new buttons - not enough gray matter! Alma

Glad you got some rain, Gayle. We woke up to several hours of rain this morning and it too was badly needed. Then the sun came out and we had a nice afternoon.
Now we're watching the closing Ceremonies from Rio.
Have a good evening all.

Good Evening, A cool day in Michigan, but after yesterdays storms I like this better. Couldn't get outside to do anything today, first the sun was out, and then it would rain like crazy, then the sun, and so on. Everything is so wet. I do hope tomorrow I can get outside and do some garden work, I have lots to do. Have a great evening

Good evening. It looks like we are going to have awesome sleeping weather tonight. There's a really nice breeze blowing through the house right now. I think tomorrow is going to be lovely!
I am also watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics. We missed the opening festivities (I did DVR them but haven't watched them yet) so I wanted to be sure to catch the closing ceremony. So far, it's been good.
I don't have a lot to add, but I did want to share that I spoke with DM today about her possibly coming to stay with us and my sisters. I was SHOCKED when she didn't get angry at the suggestion. Instead, she said that "maybe" she'd take me up on the offer. We kept talking about the possibilities, and it wasn't long before she actually said to me that she would PROBABLY take me up on the offer. She seemed very grateful and relieved. I told her to keep the notion in her back pocket, and when she is ready just let us know. She asked about my sisters and what they might think. I told her I already talked about it with DSis#3 and #4. When she is ready, she can run it all by DSis#5. Abey, thank you for your post talking about you living with your daughters. It definitely inspired me to consider the possibilities for DM!!!
So, between this news and me running into one of my sweetest students ever at church today, I've had a darn good day!
Wishing everyone a good night. I want to pay closer attention to the television now.

Good evening...just stopping by on my way to bed. I am tired since I had a bed partner last night (not what you think....it was our grandson...lol) Needless to say, I didn't sleep well.
We had a picture perfect day...70 and sunny! It sounds like more of those kind of days i store for this week...for once I hope the weather guessers are right!
I am eating a piece of zucchini bread that DDIL brought over tonight and it is by far the best I've ever had...gotta get that recipe from her for sure!.
Mary...must be tough to give up that play house that the girls and you have had forever...I feel your pain.
Karen...I am SO glad to hear that your Mother is receptive to the idea of staying with you and your sisters on a revolving schedule. Maybe that is what she has been waiting for??...an answer to her loneliness. Waving at everyone else...and so glad to see Alma joining in the conversation. Charlene
