Good morning! It's cloudy with rain on the way. It looks like it will be dry for my short drive up the hill to the medical building. Watching the clock as I have to leave by 7:30. Yesterday, we unloaded winter stuff from storage. So far I have three bags of stuff to donate!! Will have to go back down...my winter coats didn't get picked up. I was so busy that I only found 1 turkey. Will have time to look today. We ordered up burgers and fries with side salads last night. I was too tired to change for dinner! Friends are coming to lunch today so supper will be something light...maybe a salad with shrimp. Dictionary.com's word of the year is 'demure'. See for yourself the reason!!! Waving and wishing you all a great day.

Another shot of Main Street.
In my opinion there is nothing good about this morning. I feel like crap. Came home with a soar throat last night and it was terrible when I got up this morning. It is raining and only 33° we still have an advisory for freezing rain until 1 this afternoon. I am not moving out of the house except I do need to go out and feed my birds. Hope to do that between showers. The forecast for Thanksgiving is 1-3" of snow.
Tammy, glad to read that DH got his leg taken care of. I am sure you will get used to the machine running at night and won't even notice it.
Elza, sorry the contractor and the insurance company are still at odds. Have you spoken to your agent about the problem. Sometimes they can have some influence with the insurance company. This is way too long to not have this situation resolved and the contractor starting work.
Waving to everyone else at the moment. Need to contact Vudu again. Have a charge for the 3rd time on my account and I have never ordered any movies from them. Twice that were to close my account but still nothing. I can't get into my account to change it as it has an old email address attached to it that doesn't exist anymore. Also appears that I am getting charged for Disney+ twice.
Have a great day.

Good morning everyone. This will be short. Just to let you know that I think of you all often. Haven’t been on much to even read what’s going on in your lives. I’ll try to do better. Not much going on here. Was laid low last week, but now I’m doing better, learning to deal with it. Ann, we’ve got a lot of things here to donate, clothes we know we’ll never wear again, no longer fit. Bet, sorry to hear you’re not feeling well today. Hope you don’t have to go to work, can stay home and get rid if it. Coffee’s ready, so will get some and get on with my day. Hope you all have a great day. Jan

Bet- I sure hope you eel better as the day goes on.
Jan- Always good to hear from you. I have a Mocha in hand at the moment. LOL
I plan on doing some sewing today as I have 2 more craft fairs to do and I sold a lot of small stuff on Sunday. Did pretty good. Soup Bowl Cozy, plate cozy ad table runners.

Good morning.
Not as cold this morning, 55º, but still enough to warm outer clothing. This year Mandy is not as receptive when it comes to putting on her sweaters. Usually she puts her head right through. But this year I have to catch her head and then she will put her legs through the holes nicely. I know I don't like things going over my head so I kind of understand if that is the case. She shivers outside without her sweater this time of year.
Sunday was no early enough to take my turkey out of the freezer so today it will sit on the counter for a couple hours. And tomorrow, if I need to, it will go into a sink of cold water. I need to get the giblets out for the stuffing. Which I make Wednesday night and then stuff into the bird in the morning. No, I don't put meat of any kind in my stuffing and NO sage. I like the flavor of the turkey drippings in the stuffing. Just egg, onion, giblets, salt and pepper. Plain and simple like my mom and her mom made.
This morning I have a big load of laundry to do and make the holly cookies. They are made in wreaths too....corn flakes, melted marshmallows, and green food coloring. Top with a couple red cinnamon dots and that's it. I love them. I think it's the cinnamon dots flavor that I like the most. I love cinnamon.

Good morning. I just took a pumpkin pie out of the oven, it took alot longer then the recipe said. I did the festival pie recipe, lol with a can of Libbys pumpkin. It is Dh birthday so I wanted to surprise him. It got done in time as I hear he is just getting up.
I went to bed coughing last night and woke up coughing. I just took a cold tablet. I can't get sick. Karen and I are hosting the Thanksgiving dinner at clubhouse. We are cooking 4 turkeys and everyone is bringing a dish to share.
Ann- I know you will enjoy your lunch with friends.
Elza- I am sorry to hear that they haven't started yet.
Bet- feel better soon.
Chris-are you guys still thinking of moving South? That would be neat to stop and see Ann. I'm hoping someday to meet Mamma.
Mamma-I looked for cinnamon dots at Walmart and CVS and couldn't find them. I want them for our hot chocolate bar.

Good Morning ! It got down in the 40's overnight so the AC is off-for now anyway. We are supposed to warm back up to around 80 tomorrow.
DH went to work, and I got up at 6 and got to work cooking. The goulash turned out good, I had plenty. As far as the carrot raisin salad, I took a recipe to serve 6, multiplied it times 8. Should be 48 servings right? I ended up with only one 9x13 pan. It was a little late when I finished so I was not going to get dressed and go into town and buy more ingredients, so I delivered it with my apologies. She sent me a text and said they were only 6 servings short. They normally prepare 40 boxes I think. Note to self: 4 lbs carrots is not enough!
I remembered to hold back enough goulash for our supper. Lunch will be leftovers, hoping to clear some more stuff out of the fridge.
Ann, enjoy your lunch!
Bet, sorry it is not a good morning for you.
Jan, hoping this will be a good week for you.
Chris, happy sewing. Glad you can stay indoors today.
Mamma, my stuffing is about the same as yours. In the past I have occasionally done giblets, but usually omit them. I do like the additional of celery and sage.
Elaine, can you take Zicam or Airborne? Hope you can take some meds to help you.
Those cinnamon candies can be hard to find, I agree. I usually see them closer to Valentines Day.
Elza, hope things work out favorably for your repairs.
Waving to all. Better get busy around here. I keep thinking of things that I need to get done before Thursday, so need to make a list before I forget it all!

Elaine, I find the cinnamon candies in the theater boxes at WM, they are called red hots. Lots cheaper too. Best of luck.

Hello All. Bet, Jan, and Elaine, hope you all feel better quick! Big hugs to all! It's in the 50s today. I'm shivering and that's indoors. We're on Plan B here for Thanksgiving cooking. DD wants to have the meal at her house. I'm not unhappy about her decision as she's a very good cook. My contributions are deviled eggs and lima beans. Supper tonite will be a small spinach frittata with bacon on the side. Sweet dreans

Good evening. I am feeling a bit better tonight. At least the soar throat isn't like it was this morning. But at evening approaches I feel like things are going downhill. I spent the day fussing in the kitchen. I made 3 individual ricotta cheese pies for dessert this week and cooked up some lemon rice that I will freeze but also have it for dinner with a broccoli chicken stir fry over it. I did manage to empty the dishwasher and have been filling it as I go for a change. Will run it when I go to bed probably as soon as I eat dinner. I did lay down for a while this afternoon but I think that made things worse. I have to kick this thing. I want to go to work tomorrow and get everything done so I don't have anything pending for the rest of the week. It will be a long day but worth it.
Enjoy your evening.

(((Bet, Elaine, and Jan)))---hope you will soon be feeling better.
Another busy day here. Getting a late start on dinner---Spanish (Mexican) rice, salsa chicken, refried beans, and a salad.
I have PT tomorrow morning. We will go directly afterwards to meet DD in Naples where we will pick up DGD. Lilith will be with us until Sunday when we will drive her back to her home. If you don't see me here until next week, know I am thinking of each of you. Happy Thanksgiving! Lori

Lori, have a terrific time with Lilith. I think I have whipped this what ever that attacked me yesterday. While getting dinner about 5:30 I broke in to a sweat like you wouldn't believe. I was soaked. Now I feel so much better. Will continue to pump the Alka Seltzer Plus for another day. Thanks for all the well wishes. I am off to collapse in bed for a little TV.
