Old Barn under the Milky Way. To me this is a landmark just down the road from me. Te lights you see are from across the lake.
Have a great day.

Morning! I'm later than usual because my computer was not responding! Wow! It's cold and extremely windy this morning! Our dinner last night was outstanding, and I didn't have to cook anything! I ordered the vegetarian pasta which turned out to be a stir-fry with slivered vegetables. I also ordered one salmon and one shrimp dinner with green beans and mushrooms. I split all into two bowls, and we feasted! We had our Saturday dessert...a 7 layer dark chocolate fudge cake slice. Tonight I'm making breakfast for dinner with a vegetable hash (Baldwin veggies saved over a few days and a potato & carrot that I had. Will have it with turkey bacon and eggs. I made cranberry orange sauce for our turkey cutlet and drumstick dinner next Saturday. Every day I'll made a small batch of our traditional fare hoping not to have many leftovers (ha!!). We will go to the gym this morning. Otherwise it will be a relaxing day. There are fewer exercise classes leading up to Thursday because of vacations. There will be a 'turkey mixer' on Wednesday and a 'turkey hunt' where 60 mini-turkeys have been hidden throughout the public areas. There is also a build a turkey contest using recyclable materials! Busy week!! Have a wonderful day. Waving!

Good morning. Boy it sure was a lot darker out there this morning than it has been. I could see stars in the sky and no clouds. We went out at the usual time even though I slept in a bit. At least it wasn't in the 40's, it was 51º when we went out.
Lynda will pick me up for church. Not sure if we are going out for lunch or not. The $5 deal at BK is done but we do have coupons we could use. I could really go for a Denny's breakfast, but this time of year that place is packed all the time.
After church I might start frosting some of the roll outs. More than half were decorated with sprinkles before baking. I got a bit carried away. Usually it more like half and half. Anyway the hardest cookies to do are done. Hard because I don't have much counter space (a one foot by one foot area) and the table is too low to do the rolling and cutting. Just one more cookie to do and that will be done the first week in December or later. I'm tired of baking. hehehe Not really.
When I get home from church I have a little bit of ironing to do and will push the dust mop around. Last night I took the turkey out of the freezer and put it in the fridge. And today I'll get the bread out for it to dry for the stuffing. No pumpkin pie, I don't like it. I'll just have Christmas cookies instead. :) And I can't eat a whole pie of any kind. Well, I shouldn't. hehehe
Enjoy your day, stay safe and warm.

Just got home from lunch. The kids took me out for Donato's Pizza, an Ohio favorite that has just opened here. The pizza was very good. I always liked their salads, too, so got a take-out. It's a little coolish but sunny with blue skies. I'll have the salad and some pizza for supper. Rest of the day I'll catch up on my movie list and probably have a nap. Enjoy your day.

Elaine, so you spent part of your morning with a "drag queen". lol
I ended up doing breakfast for our supper last night. Today we had Thanksgiving dinner at church. It was so good. Turkey was flavorful and moist, and all the foods I got for my meal were wonderful. The dessert I chose was a blueberry cobbler looking thing with cool whip on top. I love blueberries, so thought I would enjoy it. I took 1 bite and almost spit it out! Not sure if the filling was burnt or what but it tasted awful. I took another small bite, and threw the rest away. Then I went into the kitchen to help clean up. Turns out there was an entire strawberry rhubarb dump cake that never got put out!! So, I got a to go box and helped myself to 2 helpings. By that time DH had already gone out to the car, he was exhausted, so I left also. Last night was his first night of dialysis. It seemed to go ok. The machine makes a little noise but that did not bother me. It has a screen that was kind of bright, but eventually it went black. Around 6 a.m. it started beeping-I think it was finished. Hope that does not continue every single morning at 6!
Mamma, hope you had a nice morning at church and a good lunch.
Tasty, hope it was not crowded while you shopped.
I will shop tomorrow. DH has to go back up to the hospital where he had his surgery for a follow up visit. He had not told me about it until today, or I might have made plans to try and go with him. Now, I have way too much to get done tomorrow before company arrives.
Helen, you inspired me...I am off to take a nap too!
Waving !!

DS1 got in about 6 last night and we are so glad to have him here. He slept late this morning -- something he almost never gets to do on Sunday -- and then met us for lunch. He & DH went over to the house while I bought groceries and now they're both napping.
After a while I'll get tomorrow night's dinner in the crockpot and ready to go. Small red potatoes, carrots, onion and a beef roast , with onion & mushroom gravy.

Elza, enjoy every moment of his visit.
Breaking news-my DH is going to the E.R. in Lufkin. He scraped his lower leg while getting in the truck a few days ago. He thought it was fine, but today it is very red and swollen and is really hurting. He did go to an urgent doc and they said go to the E.R. He called his dialysis nurse and she said come to Lufkin. He may have cellulitis. Wow, my guy is falling apart!
I got my nap in so guess I will head to the kitchen to get some noodles made.

Having checked online what time the stores on the mainland would open this morning, I timed my arrival there for about 11 am. Perfect timing, I thought. Well, turns out they opened at 9, so everywhere was busy. Oh, well! I got all the odds and ends I wanted and lots more besides 🤫. Took quite a while but I actually took time to look rather than just pick up what was on my list - no grocery shopping in this lot. Didn't get home til about 3pm, but everything is unpacked and put away and I'm not totally out of energy. I'm beginning to think part of the problem is lack of humidity in the condo so tomorrow we'll go and find an inexpensive humidifier and see if that helps. Right now there is a shepherd's pie in the oven for supper.

A quick hello to all. I've been extremely tired, so I've been laying low. Saving my energy for PT tomorrow morning.
Elaine, a very happy belated birthday to you. Sounds like you had a good day yesterday and how nice to have a dinner out tonight. Yesterday was also my MIL's birthday--she turned 94.
Tammy, sorry to read about poor Dave. I am praying for him and hope all goes well when he goes back to the hospital. Please keep us posted.
Nothing fancy for dinner last night--salami, cheese, and crackers. Tonight we just popped two chicken pot pie in the oven which we'll enjoy while we watch some football this evening.
Waving and wishing everyone a relaxing evening and sweet dreams. Lori
