Good morning. It is 37°here this morning and still raining. The wind is also whipping. I am right on the edge of where they are getting a wintry mix. Fortunately I am not going in that direction today for work. Hopefully where I am headed the rain is suppose to stop around 10 AM but don't think the wind will let up much. I was planning about being on the road by about 7:30 this morning but it is still quite dark out so think I will wait a bit. Just went out and filled the feeders and got the rain measurement. We have received 1.58" of rain in the past 24 hours. In the next half hour or so they are saying we will have a wintry mix but it since it is 37° who knows. From now until 1 PM we the forecast is showing only about .o6" more of rain.

Good morning. I'm about to head to Walmart. I tossed around ideas about the mozzarella bombs and at one point thought I'd just make the biscuits from scratch since I found I had enough mozzarella sticks. Then I realized I didn't have enough catfood to last the weekend so decided I would do a run to Walmart this morning. Aldi's doesn't carry the food they eat. I'm down to 5 cats now that Tom disappeared this week. He was the partially blind one with a heart murmur. He never strayed too far so don't know what happened. Mittens disappeared a few months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if there's an alligator in the swamp. There are dogs and other wild animals around but I haven't noticed any cat fur around. Tom was so scared of people, even me when he was outside and couldn't see me well, so I know no one could have picked him up.
Bet, be careful driving in your weather mix. We are at 37 now. Yesterday we had a chilly wind all day.

Good morning. 30 with a high of 35. We got some snow at some point but just a dusting. Chances of more Sunday and Monday but again, doesn’t look like much. Temps are going to drop off tho and by later next week highs are in the teens and lows in the single digits.
Yesterday I worked so dh had to work from home for part of the day. The fridge was to arrive between 11:30 and 3:30. They came before noon. They had as much trouble fitting it in as we did getting ours out. But they took the doors off and then no issues. Its all filled up with the food now and I even downloaded the app for it since the fridge has wifi. From the app I can see and set the temp, get notified if the door gets left opened, see the life of the water filter, can even see how many gallons of water used, and how many times the door was opened. I also added my tv to the app (both are LG). I can now pull up a remote on my phone. That will be useful when dh falls asleep clutching the remote and I want to turn the tv down. Lol
Beyond work and dealing with moving the fridge stuff I didn’t do anything else. Today I plan to do some laundry for sure. Dh should be home relatively early. Dd1 is staying at school as the grad students are having a friends-giving potluck. She is making a no bake pumpkin pudding pie. Super easy and something that doesn’t require cooking. She is done with classes Monday so will be home in the afternoon for a nice 6 day break.
Karen-I was wondering if you got any of the snow like Cleveland did. We watched some of the football game last night and it was snowing like it was nuts!!
Bet-Hopefully your rain will stay rain.
Mary-Good that storm wasn’t too bad where you were. I saw videos on instagram of trees snapping in WA. Looked crazy.
Well typing is slowing so better post. Have a great day.

Good morning all and I'm glad it's Friday.
We have actually gotten some rain overnight. Haven't had any in a long time so pretty dry out there. Work week went fast and glad I'm only working 2 days next week. I haven't seen any cats around my house or in the garage. I had to close up some holes where they were getting in. The side door is all rusted on the bottom and they were getting in that way so I barricaded the door. Hopefully they moved on. Leslie sorry to hear about your cats.
I have some errands to get done today . I had a slow leak in my back tire and got a plug put in it. Took the guy about 5 mins. to do the whole job. He said there was a screw in the tire.
Have a good day.

Leslie-That stinks about the cats disappearing. Sandy-Good thing you had the tire checked. Here is the new fridge. Its actually slightly slimmer then the old one as the doors are flat/square corners vs more rounded and overall the doors are thinner, maybe? Handles don’t stick out as far and the old one had a freezer handle as well so maybe just seems slimmer from that. The middle drawer is a flex drawer. You can set it as fridge or freezer. I chose to put all the meats/cheeses in there. Its black stainless. So darker than stainless on the front and the sides are black. Our other appliances are called platinum, a dark grey metal, so this matches better than stainless.

Good morning everyone. It is 32º and going to 36º which is our average high temp for this time of year. At least the bitter cold wind we've had the past couple of days has died down.
Yesterday was a Phyllis day and I seriously did not do much when I got home other than make a menu plan for Thanksgiving...along with the grocery list. I also sorted out Christmas presents that I've bought for the great grands so I know how many more gifts I need to get. I was relieved to know I only need 2 more small gifts.
DD text this morning if I could meet her for lunch in the neighboring town. I agreed, so will get my groceries while there. Tonight our Mennonite church is having their annual Thanksgiving dinner. I was given an invitation and so was Phyllis. Want to guess who's taking her? If you said me, you're right.
Bette...Lovely picture of the bandstand lit up. From what I hear on TV your area needs the rain you are getting.
Leslie....Sorry to hear that Tom has disappeared. Your mention of mozzarella bombs brought to mind that on Wednesday when Phyllis and I ate out, I ordered lasagna. It was made with pepperoni rather than hamburger and had so much mozzarella cheese it almost choked me when I swallowed.
Sandy...Glad your getting needed rain too. If the cats have no place to get in hopefully they move on. Glad your tire was an easy fix.
Melissa....Love your new fridge! The app for your phone sounds great for you, but not something I'd like for me. Phyllis has a handle sticking out on her freezer on the bottom and I have bruises on my legs to prove it. Glad DD1 is joining with friends and I know you'll be happy to have her home for a few days. Is all going well for her at school? I laughed at the remote remark. I remember trying to pry the remote out of Larry's hands and he'd immediately wake up and say, "I was watching that!"
Mary M...I also wondered about you when I heard about the bomb cyclone. Glad it wasn't worse than it was in your area.
Happy Friday to all. Charlene

Melissa, nice fridge! My microwave has wifi but I never set it up. I can see how it would be useful for a fridge but not a microwave. Several years ago when someone had a new fridge dropped off on son#2's porch for him for Christmas he had to take the doors off to fit it through the doorway into the kitchen. His 100+ year old house has some wide doors and some normal sized but I think that kitchen doorway is narrower than others. It looks like it was an exterior door though, but I don't know where the kitchen might have been. Perhaps it was separated a bit. There is another doorway just inside the kitchen from that one that is also narrow. At least all the main doors are wide so DGD can get around. I'm not sure if her chair would easily fit through the kitchen doors though. I know you will enjoy that fridge.

I don't know what to expect with our weather today. One minute it looks like we might have sunshine. The next, it clouds over. I'm pretty sure we will be warmer than yesterday, though. My phone kept saying last night that today we'd be 11° warmer today than yesterday. Works for me. It was blustery yesterday. Most of yesterday went pretty well. DH spun out last night when I asked him to put away movies before I would put in one for him. They were once again piled on the dining room table with no room for anything resembling a place to eat. Things devolved pretty quickly when he took offense to me wanting him to pick up the movies. It was ugly for a while, but I did get a momentary sincere apology for the positively horrible things he said. I know he doesn't realize what he is saying most of the time, but it still hurts. I did note that he kinda sorta laid some of the blame on me in that apology. "I'm sorry, but you ..." took a bit of the initial sincerity out of things. LOL! There is good news and bad news (?) this morning regarding DH and his technology woes. I am not sure why this worked to "fix" his laptop, but closing out his screen and restarting the computer seemingly has the window opening up fully now. I could have sworn I did that before, but maybe not. I saw this morning that there was the question if I wanted to restore the previous page since Chrome hadn't closed down properly before. The last time I saw that, I don't recall if I just closed out the message or allowed it to restore. Which ever it was, it didn't work then, but restarting did this morning. We'll see how long it takes for something to go wrong now. The GOOD news also is this allowed me to log him out of eBay on his laptop so he shouldn't be able to accidentally bid on and buy anything there. What could be considered bad news is that somehow in all of his swiping and tapping, DH managed to delete all but 3 of his contacts in his phone. He was left with 3 contacts in the "M" list. My heart sank when I saw that, but then realized the opportunity it presented. I can add back the people he most needs to talk to. I think the last time he had trouble with his phone contacts I went through and wrote down the numbers of those I was sure he would want. I'm guessing I could have missed extended family and such, but I can't do anything about that now. It will take some time, but maybe this was a blessing in disguise. I never did make it outside to cut flowers yesterday, but I hope to today. It looks like it may rain so I best be quick about that. The ageratum and YS are still looking pretty good. Gorgeous morning photo, Bet! I hope the weather doesn't mess up your work day. Be careful in that wind! That is too bad, Leslie, about Tom disappearing. I guess Walmart it is if Aldi's doesn't carry the food the cats will eat. Your mozzarella bombs sound intriguing. Melissa, that is a fabulous looking fridge. Good thing you are smart enough to operate it! It's features are very impressive. We did not get the snow that Cleveland did. I'm glad you told me about that because it helps me feel not so bad about the blustery cold and tiny bit of snow we did get. Things can always be worse. It is always a good thing when we can get those tire leaks repaired, Sandy. Nice that you only have to work 2 days next week. I have been working, Charlene, on Christmas gift organizing also. I was so pleased with myself in how that all worked out for the boys. Everything balanced out well and I liked what I had. That was until the box came from Lakeshore Learning and I opened it. One thing seemed somewhat familiar to me. It had been on my Amazon list for Mac, but I figured I may as well get it from this company since I was placing an order. I couldn't get rid of the feeling that maybe I had bought that for him before, so I went back through my Amazon purchases and saw that I got this matching game for him 2 years ago. UGH! I thought about sending it back, but then decided to just keep it here for when they visit. It'll be easier than bothering with returning the game. However, this does leave me short a gift for him. I'm not as done as I thought I was. Nice that you will be having lunch with your DD. May you be blessed for taking Phyllis to the Thanksgiving meal tonight. You surely don't have to, so I hope she appreciates it. Very nice of that church to extend the invitation to you both. Guess I ought to go have some breakfast. We had that last night and I think I have a couple of pancakes and fried apples left. Hope DH didn't find them first. Have a fabulous Friday!

Leslie, it is hard to believe you have the same temperature as me this morning. Sorry about the missing cats.
Melissa, love the new refrigerator. If I every have to get a new one I want the freezer on the bottom. I am sure DD1 will have a good time with friends for the friend-giving. It will be great to have her home for a while.
Sandy, glad you are finally getting rid of the cats. It is maddening when you get something in a tire. I had a streak for a while and it seemed to be the same tire and it wasn't coming from my yard. Enjoy your time off next week. Are you cooking for Thanksgiving?
Charlene, of course who else would be taking Phyllis to the dinner. Enjoy lunch with DD. As far as rainfall. I checked my records for the past 2 years and we have had above average rail according to the 30 year average. It doesn't seem to be that dry to me but since we have had such warmer temperatures especially this year evaporation could have something to do with the dryness.
I am being bad. I don't want to go to work. I should have left over an hour ago. For some reason my mind set is into doing housework. I think Alice has inspired me to keep things done. It is so easy to tell her to clean and not have to drag out the vacuum all the time. The dishwasher has done a load and I got the box with that darn display that was sent to me by mistake and everything moved to the porch to go to the garage and Alice has my mess with bits of styrofoam etc. all cleaned up. I am going to the shop to put my new garden wagon I got yesterday together so I can haul all the stuff on the porch to the garage. While I am doing that I will turn Alice loose on this area where my computer is. I plan on leaving for work around noon time and also doing some shopping while I am at the town where Walmart is. I will just finish up the rest of my work either tomorrow or Sunday. I am doing today what is due by today. The rest can wait a few days.

Good morning, it is currently 35° and we are having snow flurries. It is also windy. They had predicted that we would have snow overnight but that did not happen. They predicted an inch but needless to say they were wrong again. The snow is going straight through because of the winds. The ground is too warm for it to say even if it lands.
Guess I will have to get the humidifier out and set up. Had to turn on the heat today. I have noticed that its getting drier in here.
Have a good day.

I did find the pancakes and enjoyed them, Mary. You just might have inspired me to have fish and shrimp for supper tonight. I have both in the freezer and they sound good. I love it when Kroger has their shrimp on sale.

Good afternoon all! It was 50° this morning. 69 and sunny now. My tomato and herb bed survived the cold night. All the new plantings did well too. I'll wait until it warms back up to plant the last three ginger.
Melissa, your new fridge is very sleek. I hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.
Hope everyone's day is going well!
