Sweet and Salty S2nack Mix I mixed this up for DH to snack on. It was a quick and easy recipe to put together. He says it's good and it must be as I've found him digging in the container several times since I put it together. I personally did not find the mixture salty, but it could have something to do with the medications I currently take. Lori Ingredients: 2sticks butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 12ounce box of Crispix cereal (about 12 cups) 1-1/2 cup chopped pecans Directions: 1--Preheat oven to 325*. 2--Line 1 large baking sheets (or 2 small) trays with foil--spray with cooking spray. 3--Combine butter and brown sugar in saucepan. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly until a creamy, thick caramel sauce forms. 4--Pour over cereal. Toss to coat with a spatula or wooden spoon. Bake 8 minutes, then stir; bake another 8 minutes and stir (total of 16 minutes). Cool. Keeps 2-3 weeks at room temperature. NOTES: 1--Could use any of your favorite nuts instead of pecans (walnuts, cashews, almonds, or even a combo) 2--Could add your favorite small salty cracker/pretzel to mixture 3--Could add your favorite candy **When cool, DH added to the mixture the following: a bag of Cheddar goldfish and peanut M&M's

Thanks Lori, sounds good. I think I would add something salty to it. I am a salt freak.
