Good morning gang. The weather has definitely turned cooler this week but we have had lots of sunshine still which helps those chilly days. We are still expecting to hit the mid 40s today so really shouldn't be complaining. Had a lovely lunch out with the canning group yesterday and today the breakfast group is also going out for a lunch. When I come home from that, I will get busy baking for tomorrow's market. We really don't know what to expect at at this one. It is a new venture and was originally planned to run for 2 days but now is just happening on Saturday so it could be interesting. Have a great day.

Beautiful pictures Tasty and Bet. Dense fog until 10 this morning. I was planning on an early trip to the bank but will now wait until the fog lifts. Yesterday's mincemeat pie and ice cream was a good time to catch up on my cousin's life. We don't live that far apart but rarely see each other. They leave for AZ late November and return late March each year. It's Friday and that means laundry day. One person can make a difference. Marlene

Good morning and happy Friday!
It's been cool here all week and windy. Some beautiful sunrises though.
The work week went fast and I'm staying up to date at my sites. Next month will be busy though as I have rent increases to do. I'll be the scrooge for December. It can't be helped.
I had a speedy little mouse in the kitchen and a trap didn't work and he would take the poison and not eat it. So I got the sticky paper things and caught it last night. Now to thoroughly clean the kitchen and try and find the hole and fill it in. I'm still dealing with kittens & cats. There was a kitten on the deck last night it looked so sad that I was going to feed it but it ran off. My neighbors aren't back yet. I will probably put the trap out again this weekend and see what I get.
Charlene hope you talk with Phyliss dd it's not your reasonability.
Usual Friday chores I need to call and make an appointment for an oil change. Nothing to exciting. Have a good day.

Good morning. 34 and quite foggy at the moment. Once the fog burns off the sun is supposed to come out and high is 47. We never made it above 40 yesterday and it was grey and damp.
Dh came home mid morning yesterday and we went to home depot and bought a new fridge. Expensive but necessary. Dh dropped me off at home and went back to work. Dd1 had called while there so I called her back on the way home. She was at TJ Maxx and I asked her to look at pans if she went. Both our tfal pans are in need of replacement. My mom just got new pans there and I liked what she got. Dd was able to find them so I was happy. I read quite a bit of my new book yesterday. I spent time outside cleaning up some garage messes. I made some treats in the afternoon and watched a movie while working in the kitchen. I made a big batch of potato soup for dinner. Its dds favorite.
Dh took today off and we will get the windows trimmed outside. Excited about getting that done before winter. We will head to my moms this evening and hunt in the morning at my brothers.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day.

Good morning everyone. It was 30º and very foggy when I got up, but now the sun is trying to peek through and it's supposed to be sunny and low 50s which is great for mid November.
I haven't even dressed yet, but have done a few things around here. After 9 days in a row with Phyllis, I have the day off! I actually am not working until next Wednesday since I told her DD that I can't on Monday. I love the lady, but she certainly tests a person's patience. The break will be nice. I got her vacuuming, laundry (including bedding) done yesterday.
Today is up in the air as to what I do. I will clean my own kitchen (already started) and I also will vacuum my downstairs. My houseplants are praying for water, so that's also on my list of things to do today.
Bette...a beautiful sunrise pic.
Tasty...Hope the new market place proves to be a good location.
Marlene....so foggy in your area too. Glad the cousin's get together was fun.
Sandy...I'd probably have the sad looking cat in my house...lol.
Melissa...New fridge and new pans! Life doesn't get any better than that, but comes with a price tag.
Happy Friday to all. Charlene

I'm back. Been busy since I got up. Computer was giving me a hard time about doing the morning picture which wasn't exactly how I wanted to start my day. We started out at 26°, it is sunny and is calling for 51°for the high. I said I wasn't going to cook today but since the numbers are so high for dinner decided there were a few things I could get done today so have been cooking shrimp. I love them sous vide no worry about over cooking. I am on my second pound now have 2 more after that. They take 25 minutes once the water temperature come up to 135°. Worst part will be peeling them. May sit and watch a little TV tonight and do that. I have my the squash in to peel and get cooked. I probably should consider baking it and then I wouldn't need to peel it. I have also got those darn minutes typed and sent out. This afternoon I will get the greenhouse completely emptied and take it down tomorrow as it is suppose to be in the low 50's again tomorrow but not as much sun. I absolutely have to water the plants in the shop and get all of my 5 gallon pails filled in there. I need to go to town sometime this afternoon to do a little more shopping for Monday night and get those last 2 turkey breasts from the freezer. I need to also pick up the mail. I am out of one of my meds and they are sitting in the mailbox.
Marlene, it was real strange here this morning. We were only 26°but no frost showing anywhere and obviously no fog. Happy laundry day.
Sandy, hope you find where the mouse got in. I bought a can of spray foam to see if I can find where mine come from. Will catch 2 or 3 then won't get any for maybe a couple of weeks so have no idea. I am sure it is always hard when you have to do rent increases.
Melissa, that new freezer can put quite a dent in anyone's budget. I dodged the bullet with my freezer but it still cost over $400 to get just a fan replaced. I didn't even look at what it would have cost me new. Hope it is a nice day to finish the windows. Good luck hunting this weekend.
Charlene, glad you have some time off. That is tiring work caring for Phyllis. Good that you told her daughter what wasn't part of your job.
Mary those darn breakers can be difficult. I sometime have to try a few time to get the reset. The have to be pushed hard to the off position before they will work when you turn them to the off position.

Cloudy and chilly here today. Not terrible, but also not what I'd call pleasant. It looks like it wants to rain. Radar isn't showing that is likely to happen, though. Our feels-like temp right now is 46°. I don't like seeing this, but the forecast is showing the chance for snow a week from tomorrow. That is too far away to worry about. However, this is the first time that has been mentioned in months so it did get my attention. It has been a busy morning for me. I'd like to lay back down at some point since I didn't sleep great overnight. My leg and hip were bothering me, which is a bit scary for me since it is my 3x hip-replaced leg that was hurting. I know I have osteoporosis so this could be a problem in the making. After getting DH up to speed on his meds this morning, I went to the bank and cashed a surprise check from the mortgage company. They said we overpaid on some fee or other. After that I went to Kroger for a handful of things that cost over $50. Good thing I didn't count on using the cash in my wallet! DH needed distilled water for his CPAP machine and the rest was stuff we wanted. I'm trying to hold DH off on getting too much until we get our checks on Monday. The plumber expense added to the quarterly water bill coming due is causing us to cut things close in the checking account, and I even hit up the savings account and spent cash earlier in the week. Shortly, I will be getting a call from the friend I was talking with last night when our AOA food was delivered. We never reconnected in the afternoon and I would like top hear more about her situation. She said she would call from the car on her way to her DD's house. I'm glad she will be getting in some snuggle time with the new granddaughter. Best medicine ever! Well, I will have to come back later to comment to folks. Wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

Good afternoon. It's still in the 60s here. I didn't go to Sumter today so decided to go to Walmart here. Big mistake. The parking lot looked like Black Friday used to. I wonder if the Walmart market is still closed because of flooding, causing more people to go to the supercenter. At any rate, I decided there was nothing I needed bad enough to fight that crowd so I came back home. There were a ton of dishes to wash so did that and then went looking for DGS's old talking Elmo for DGGD. She loves watching Elmo. Don't think I could get it talking again because even if it worked I have no clue where the cord and CD are to connect it to a computer to program what he says. It could be personalized with names and favorite things. But she can still hold him. She kept looking at him and then the one on TV when I showed him to her.
Have a good rest of the day.

Good morning, its 42° and cloudy headed to highs near 50°. We started with spotty showers and patchy dense fog with visibility less than a quarter mile. We are between storm systems today, with spotty light rain expected this morning and hopefully some sunshine this afternoon.
Yesterday while I was out getting a script, I also got my flu shot.
This morning, I made fresh nectar then cleaned the hummingbird feeders and filled them with nectar.
Poor little Precious is having problems with allergies again. She has been coughing and we have been giving her some meds for this. Her Vet says her allergies turn to bronchitis so we are trying to keep on top of this.
Tasty, enjoy your lunch and I hope tomorrow’s market goes well.
Bet, what a beautiful wake up view.
Marlene, AZ for the winter months sounds like a wonderful idea.
Sandy, I also hope you can find the area the mouse used to get in.
Charlene, enjoy your day off.
Melissa, new fridge sounds like a good idea. I like mine better now that it’s in the right place.
Mary, glad Josh had the right touch for the fuse box.
Karen, hope you get some time to relax today.
Have a great day everyone.
