Good morning friends.
Tammy- Hugs and prayers for you and Dave. I had to do that once. They did both magnesium and potassium. Slow drip for sure. I was in the ED all night.
Helen- Good Dr Visit! Yeah!!
Lori- I hope it is all straightened out but we have to change insurance now as United Health is no longer offering their plan in Vermont. So we will be on Humana as of Jan 1. Argh!
Bet- Love your area and seeing the pictures is great! Keep it up! Please!
Mamma- Hope the cold gets better and the cookies get done!!
Elaine- We never had any problem with our meds at the Pharmacy. I wanted to stay with them but we wuld have had to pay a higher co-pay.
Birdy- I liked your picture of the area you used to go to.
Elza- I have never had a Jersey Mikes. Brian does not care for them so for some reason I have never tried them. Of course we do not have one around here so that doesn't help.
Ann- I like the sounds of the exercise class. I wish we had one close by we could go to. I am not good about doing it on my own and neither is Dan. Motivation helps! LOL
Well I get my nails done today and that is about it for my plans today! Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning! It's 25° this morning. Wind will still be a problem. Boy, was it ever nasty out yesterday. I have to get my winter clothes out of the storage cage!!! Lunch yesterday was good. We were happy to see our friends and hear all about Duchess. She is doing just fine! We did a fridge/freezer cleanout for supper. I microwaved a spaghetti squash that my cousin gave me, cut it into rings instead of in half lengthwise, and got nice long strands after it cooled enough to handle. (I pierced it with a knife and microwaved it for 10 minutes. It came out crisp tender so it was easy to toss with garlic oil, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.) It cooked to perfection when I microwaved it later for supper. We had it with some mixed vegetables from the freezer and finished the shrimp stuffed mushrooms and coconut shrimp. Today, we are being picked up by my former teaching partner and will get a 'tour' of the area. After that we will go to lunch. Not sure if we will go to our restaurant or to the 603 Brewery up the street. Probably will have some Aldi soup if we are hungry at suppertime. Have a good'un! Waving!

Hi everyone! Running by--going to be a busy day with appointments mid-day through the dinner hour.
Tammy, hope you have heard from Dave by now and he is doing much better this morning.
Chris, happy that you got the insurance taken care of. It's always something, isn't it? My current insurance just informed me that starting next year they will no longer cover any of my medications, so I think I was one step ahead of them by planning to return to Humana as of January. DH would be okay with coverage for his meds, but he switched too as he doesn't want to deal with Walgreens pharmacy any longer.
Ann, I always enjoyed "fieldtrips"--have fun!
Bet, what a relaxing picture that you posted for us this morning--nice way to begin the day!
mamma, hope your feeling better from that cold today--sadly, I'm still fighting mine.
Got to hop into the shower and get moving. Waving to all. Lori

Tammy, hope all is well with Dave.
Being in the nursing home, I don't have to deal with the drug companies anymore. They do all the ordering. I have been ordering items online from Walgreens lately for pickup and I have to say their website is very frustrating. So I can understand that dealing with other areas with them is probably just as bad.
Have a good day.

Good morning.
It's a chilly 52º with no wind. I'm bundled up well and Mandy had on one of her sweatshirts this morning too. So we both were warm. Boo and Lisa were at the pet area this morning and Mandy did run once with Boo, but then she was ready to come home.
Second cup of coffee and fresh cookies are about done, then start on the Spritz cookies. I always triple that batch since it has always been a family favorite and the cookies are so small that we tend to eat more. I know I do and I know Lincoln will be thrilled. He has not had them since we moved from MN. My right arm and left foot are not at all happy again so I'll probably take all day to finish the cookies. But I've nothing else to do but take lots of breaks.
Happy Hump day and prayers for all in need.

Good morning ! He's home!! They gave him a slow drip for a couple hours, then gave him the choice of sticking with that, or taking a "horse" pill and being released. He chose the pill and was able to come back home around midnight. Thank you for the prayers and the good wishes. I have nothing planned for the day. Probably will stay at home and do chores, maybe laundry. I want to wipe down the kitchen cabinets with lemon oil. They are 25 years old and look extremely dry, so I oil them every few months.
It is currently 68 and heading to a high of 79.
Love the photo Bet. So many people love the beach, but I have always loved lakes.
Have a fun day Ann.
Mamma, I will be taking cookies to our ladies Mingle/Jingle. That is the church ladies annual cookie and ornament swap. I am leaning towards cinnamon roll cookies.
Waving to all. I slept in after a restless night, so had better get a move on. Will check in later.

Good morning. I rally enjoyed my walk this as I called a friend from back home and we visited. Then I went and got Coco and pulled her around the block.lol.
Tammy- I'm glad to hear that Dave is home.
Chris- that's why we went with mail order instead of Walgreens, it's cheaper. But as I said with our temps being way over 100 degrees in the summer, I don't get the eye drops. I tried that twice and they left them outside the door and the plastic vials were hot, can you imagine what the liquid was.
Bet- another great picture.
Mamma and Lori - hope your colds are done soon.
Elaine

Good morning everyone. Tammy, glad DH didn’t have to stay overnight. Like Chris, I too had to go thru that. Wish I had had the option to take an horse pill. Truth be told, I probably couldn’t have been able to swallow it. I have to take potassium pill everyday as well as eat a banana. Still on the low side, but at least above the danger level. Helen, isn’t it nice when you get a clean bill of health from the doctor? Ann, good to hear that Duchess has settled in nicely. Bet, beautiful picture. Love sitting by the water. Still miss the ocean, but the lakes around here are beautiful too. Lori, I love field trips too. That’s why l never say no to DH when he suggests one. Sure wish Lori and Mamma could get rid of their colds. They seem to be hanging on. A lot of colds and sniffles in our area too. Birdy, we don’t have Walgreens here, but I’ve heard nothing but negative things about them. Elaine, another one that doesn’t like Walgreens either. Wouldn’t want to use mail order here in Canada. Not very reliable and now they’re probably going to go on strike. Had appointment early this morning, then picked up missing ingredients for a soup I want to make tomorrow. DH is making steamed spareribs with black bean sauce for supper tonight. He doesn’t use a recipe, just wings it. Bbl. Jan

Truth be told-DH split the huge pill in half to get it down.
I am not happy with Walgreens because this town never had one until maybe 2 years ago. We have CVS. Then I heard Walgreens was coming. That made me happy because I remember Walgreens from my childhood, and as an adult I liked shopping there. Not sure we ever got prescriptions since we mostly do mail order. I kept waiting and never saw any construction. Then I heard they were going into a strip center and taking over the Payless Shoe Store. I thought, "wow, that is small". When they finally opened I went in and about 75% of the space is pharmacy only. they had very little merchandise for sale. No greeting cards at all, and a few short shelves with first aid type stuff. I was so disappointed. To me, it was like slap in the face to our town. Like they were saying, we don't care about your needs except for high price prescriptions. I never shop there! And will not get prescriptions there-unless I had no other choice.
I guess supper will be the salmon that I did not get cooked last night.

Tam great news that hub home. I would have taken the horse pill too. hehehe Oh how I love those cinnamon roll cookies. They are on my list to make next. I finished the spritz so I am done for the day. My foot and back are not at all happy, so it's time to call it a day. No sense killing myself, I have plenty of time to finish. I think you should take it easy today. You both could use the rest.

Tammy, so great Dave was able to come home last nite. Wonderful they could help with his medical issue. Hope you'll sleep better tonite. Today has already been a busy one for me. Had the cleaner here very early so I knew it wasn't going to be my usual help. Seems they did a nice job, though. Then an hour later the service guy was here for the seasonal heating/cooling system. Not great news as he warned me the equipment is old and showing wear. Not catastrophic but to be mindful. Yikes! I would like to get back to peace and quiet soonest. Supper tonite will be a repeat of last nite's roast beef and mashed potato. Hugs to all.

DH mentioned going out for lunch, but I wasn't hungry so said no. Now he is talking about going out for supper! Hmm...should we go? Nothing sounds good right now, though. Our Italian restaurant used to be great, but the last 2 times I ordered my favorite-spaghetti with Bolognese sauce (meat sauce) it was very difficult to find any meat. It was more like marinara. My homemade Bolognese is so much better if I do say so.
Last week when DH had so much congestion the doctor gave him some meds that made the lasix work like crazy. So..that is actually what caused his potassium level to plummet.
I got the kitchen cabinets wiped down, dusted all the nooks and crannies in the master bedroom, and did a load of laundry. Still need to clean out/ straighten the pantry. Mamma, I will take your advice and rest a bit!
