Sunday, November 3rd "What's Cookin'?"

Hello !
We are back home. Actually we came home last night in the car, we left the truck and camper out there. We enjoyed Friday evening with our bible study group. We provided brisket and others brought sides. We ate over at the rv  park owners house. They have a beautiful home on several acres. There is a double carport, so we set up tables and chairs there and ate because of the rain. She made breakfast tacos for breakfast Saturday morning, so we ate there, in the house. I went to work and DH visited with everyone. The girls all piled into one car and came to my resale shop for some retail therapy! Steve had to work, Sam left our group to go hunting, so DH took a nap in the recliner. He said he did not sleep at all Friday night. Between leg cramps, dogs crying, my bladder working overtime, neither of us got much sleep. We both experienced leg cramps at different time so needed to get up out of the bed and walk around. At one point i got cramps in both legs!! It was centered in my inner thigh, and I have never had both legs affected at the same time. Talk about pain! I did not know a human body could hurt that bad! Ouch. The dogs wanted in bed with us so at about 3:30 a.m. the started barking and whining. One night of that was enough so we came home to sleep in our own bed last night. It rained nearly all Saturday and today. For supper last night we grilled burgers and hot dogs. One gal brought ice cream and root beer for floats.

Today we went to church and then out for lunch. DH had a chef salad and I had a patty melt. Then home for a nap.

Well, DH just said it's time to go out and pick up the camper. Waving to everyone!

Tammy- My Dr told me to take magnesium just before I go to bed. So I take a gummy and it has stopped those bad leg cramps.

I just posted a recipe that I made tonight. When Dan goes back for seconds then I know it is good. Especially since the Parkinson's as his appetite is not good. So this is a keeper. He already asked if I could make it again! LOL

Good morning. I have been AWOL for a while. I have been reading but haven't been either in the mood or have had quiet time to post. Frankly, there's not much to post!

I go to get my new glasses today so that will be a nice Excursion.

My neighbor took me to the Early polling place on Saturday to put my absentee ballot in the Dropbox. Anyway, Gina took it in and dropped it in the box for me making sure that it was okay for her to do it instead of me. No problem; in fact I got an "I voted" sticker! Quite frankly, I don't trust the US mail to get it postmarked in time. First, it was delivered to me two days late which means I would have had to post it over the weekend. They only pick up once here on the weekend and it has to go all the way to Syracuse to get postmarkrd. The service just isn't what it used to be. I have voted in every presidential election since I got my registration card in 1968.

Elaine, if there is a spot on your login for forgot password, use it and let them change your password and get in. There have been a lot of strange things happening on my Android phone ever since they updated it the last time. The Voice input feature is a lot less accurate (if that could be possible) and it makes me put in punctuation marks on a little tiny screen rather than dictating them. A Big step backwards, especially for those of us who are handicapped with our hands. I disliked this changes in the windows input on my computer that I bought a program to use for it. Even that just some eyeball things too. Notice the word it shows for oddball!

Lori, you take care of that cold. There has been a lot of sickness going around here. Our staff is all wearing masks. The man across the hall for me spent almost a week in the hospital with pneumonia. Not a good start for the winter!

All that food you folks are cooking sure sounds good. I do love me a good saucy dish of chicken thighs. My chance of ever getting anything like that here is about zero. Mostly it's Deli sliced turkey or chicken jazzed up with something covering it. I really miss my kitchen.

Bet, the amount you can squeeze in a day amazes me. Wears me out just reading it!
