Booooo! morning!!! It's warm this morning. Mother nature is quite confused! Supper last night was good. I have salmon to use for another meal. Last night I had the idea of using some beef tenderloin offered to make beef stroganoff! I usually use ground beef, but I figured I'd use the tenderloin or lose the points on this last day of October. So I ordered it with some mushrooms, sour cream, and brown sauce! Also ordered the grain of the week side, but may freeze that and have noodles. No plans for today at the moment except to go to the gym. Have a great day! Waving!

Happy Halloween!! May you have a BOO-tiful day!! A very Happy Birthday, Elza!! However you choose to celebrate your special day, make it spook-tacular!
Woke up with a very sore throat and low-grade fever. So as not to make others sick, first thing I did was call to cancel both my OT and PT treatments. Planning to call my doctor as soon as the office opens in hopes that I can something to help me get rid of this quickly.
Ended up having ravioli for dinner last evening. Tonight, it will be the English Muffin pizzas. Waving to all! Lori

Ggggood morning. It's a cold 51º this morning. The craft room was only 65º so I turned on the mini split to warm up the room a tad. Warming up to 80º today and chilly in the evenings. I sure like this better than 115º 0r 30º.
Sheets to get changed today and the mattress turned. The mattress pad is in the washer and sheets washed tomorrow. That pad takes forever to dry so I may start it in the dryer and finish it on the clothes line. Will see how much patience I can muster. I also have a grocery order coming this morning. I'll be putting an extra blanket on the bed even though I start out warm enough but by 1 I'm cold. Last night I got all tangled up in the afghan so that didn't work out too well. I need my blankets tucked in at the foot of the bed.
Yesterday Oscar, my handyman, came and measured my french door. He will send me an estimate for a slider in a few days. I hope I have enough money saved to get the job done. He is such a nice young mad and he always gives me a hug when he leaves. He asks how I've been and shares with me too.
Ann, my husband loved salmon made any way .
Lori, I hope that you feel better very soon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELZA. ENJOY YOUR DAY!!!!

Good morning friends. We slept in this morning and then went out for breakfast. Dan was feeling pretty good. We take each day as we can get it!
Ann- Sounds like more good meals for you! I love salmon.
Bet- another awesome picture of your area. I love that you are sharing them with us.
Lori- I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope the Dr can help and it passes quickly. I had a sore throat for 2 days and took Airborne and it went a way right off.
Mamma- Sounds like a good handy man to me! We are going to be warm here today and back to the refrigerator after. Deep freeze in a month though!
I am going to get some sewing done today! Need to.
Have a Spook-tack-you-lar day all!

Wouldn't you know---my regular doctor is out of the county for a vacation! I could have gone over to Urgent Caree, but ended up calling the specialist I have an appointment with tomorrow morning. Since I did a Covid test and it is negative, she told me just plan to come in, wearing a mask, tomorrow morning. Until then, I am to doctor myself up today with an over-the-counter cough suppressant and some medicated sore throat drops.
DH made a quick trip over to BJ's and picked up a few items we were in need of. He now is getting ready to go down the road in the opposite direction and stop at Publix. If I feel a bit better this afternoon, I might try to bake some cookie mix cookies, but other than that, going to rest by closing mu eyes for a while.
It's 83*, aiming for 88*. Going to be a warm and humid night for those collecting candy this evening. Doubt we'll see any here. Lori

Elaine, I agree with Elza -- I love that Shades of Grey Halloween costume you made a few years ago. So witty! Elza, Happy Birthday! Have a lovely day. Lori, seems like you can't catch a break. I do hope your symptoms go away. DD picked me up yesterday to vote. I am so happy to get that done. The polling place was not crowded but a steady stream of people. Of course, we took the opportunity to make a few stops along the way. I've had my grocery order delivered this morning. And happy hallelujah I've had my first of the season egg nog! Still absolutely delicious. Also loaded up on veggies. Big beautiful cauliflower for one. I might just have a bowl of that cooked in butter for supper. Enjoy the cooler weather.

Bourbon Apple Pie filling is canned. I will do the pear chutney tomorrow. My feet and back are sore from all the standing, peeling apples. LOL
We got up to 79° today. Went for a walk on the dam and it was gorgeous.

Thanks, y'all! A lovely day so far. I went out for a morning walk and then picked up my free birthday coffee at Starbucks. My coworkers had cookies, balloons, and a Starbucks gift card for me, and then our niece-in-law came by with a card and flowers. So sweet. Tonight DH & I are going to McGee's Scots-Irish Pub for their Thursday night ribeye special -- sounds good to me!

I hope you enjoy your birthday Elza. Sounds like a nice day is planned.
Praying for you Lori!
We never have trick or treaters here and that's ok. We keep the porch light turned off just in case.
I went to work this morning, then had lunch with DH over at Care. I came home and got dressed in my saree costume. I needed to use a safety pin and a couple of brooches to keep it all in place. Then I made my way to the multi purpose room. DH and I shared a table filled with freebies. He used my fall tablecloth. He dressed as Elvis-someone got the costume for him. Unfortunately the costume was way too small for him, so he just used the belt, wig and sunglasses. Some of the other groups went all out on decorations. The maintenance staff went with a Wizard of Oz theme. There was a yellow brick road, a background of the Emerald City, and they dressed up as Toto, Dorothy, scarecrow, good witch, and bad witch. Very cute. The kitchen had a table set up as fortune tellers, they served cupcakes and punch. The nurse and her adult day care folks all came as dogs. I guess next year we will need to come up with something special. I am thinking along the lines of Santa and Mrs. Clause. We already have a large background, and I have lots of Christmas decorations, and more over at the shop. Food for thought.
I laid down for a bit then made the pumpkin mousse tarts.
Last night we ended up going by Chick Fil A for supper. So tonight is the baked potatoes with broccoli cheese topping.
Waving to everyone!! Have a blessed evening.

Good evening. I has been a busy day. I took today off and an off Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Today was like early September, not the first of November. We hit 79° and it was sunny most of the day. We have a high wind advisory for tonight into tomorrow morning but don't think we will get it her. I was busy most of the morning here in the house. Had some things that needed to get done on the computer. Then I went to the shop, did some watering and went through the cuttings I had done before I started moving into the shop. Unfortunately tossed more that I had hope to have to do but do have some nice plants started that I will end up taking cutting off from mid winter as they should be big enough to make new plants plus hopefully be nice full plants again themselves by planting time. Last night when I got home from work had a fellow come look at the new heater in the shop. Not sure if a part was missing from shipping or if DSOiL did something with it but that was the cause of it not working. Not going to worry about the cause of the problem only that I now have heat in the shop. I got most things put back where they belong so I can get to things now and did some watering. Afternoon I knew I had to get the leaves from the drive that I had blown up into a pick pile in case we get winds tonight or I would have to do it all over again. Loaded 7 trailer loads and hauled them away. Got all of the plants that I left in the greenhouse. Most I just dumped but has a couple of trays that went to the shop and hope I can revive them.
I am whipped. I don't think there is an inch of my body that doesn't hurt. Alice was nice and just finished cleaning the entire main house from everything I tracked in today.
Have an enjoyable evening. It is time for food and bed.
Bet
