It is 46°and at the moment we are having a brief shower then partly sunny with a high around 50° I have a couple of jobs this morning in a town just south of me then it is home to work outside. I am hoping it gets warm enough that I can get the greenhouse cleaned out and down. It not today tomorrow. I need to spent both days outside getting the yard taken care of.
Have a great day.

Good morning. Bette such a pretty picture!
No frost this morning they say it's supposed to be mild for the rest of the week. That's ok with me.
Got my chores done yesterday and was lazy after that. By the time I got done it clouded up and rained a little bit. I think today i will clean inside and if it's nice later I will get outside.
Leslie thank you for reminding me to get a Halloween card for my gds. I don't know if his mother shows him or not. It's so sad, wish things were different with her.
Have a wonderful day.

Good morning. 66° as the sun rises. It's nice that the 90° days are done for the year.
Bet, I've been enjoying all your pics in the mornings. Glad you don't have to replace the freezer, or the food.
Yesterday, other than aerobics, I laid low after the eventful day the day before. I think this may have been the first time I had a reaction to the vaccines. I felt a little achy and took Tylenol.
I just pulled out all the food scraps, coffee grounds and water from cooked vegetables from the refrigerator. I'll put them in the food processor and feed the plants. From the last time I did this, I now have cantaloupe vines growing 😀. They're in mostly sand so I don't expect fruit but they have blossoms.
No other firm plans today. Maybe vacuum. Have a great day!

Good morning everyone. It is 29º and going to mid 50s later. The ground is covered with white frost resembling snow.
I had a very productive day yesterday. I got 3 more trash cans of yard debris. I also got the canna, calla, amaryllis, gladiola and ornithogalum bubs dug and they're drying in the GH. Before the rain it was impossible to dig any of them. I put the hose away and also all of the battery chargers and battery operated tools. I spent a couple hours cleaning the GH and got the containers neatly stacked. I carried in a few more geraniums, swept the leaves out of my garage and got the lawn mower put in it's winter home. If weather holds out, I may get that out and mow once more just to chop up leaves.
This morning I will go and fill the bird feeders and water my friends plants for the last time. They get home tonight/early morning. This afternoon I have a wedding and reception to attend for my great nephew. DGS#3 is a groomsman in the wedding. It is just in the neighboring town, so at least not a lot of driving.
Bette...Glad your freezer is not a real expensive fix. Good luck getting your yard work done this weekend.
Sandy....We have to enjoy this nice fall weather while it lasts. I am so sorry that your DD isn't allowing you to spend time with your DGS....so sad. I may send a couple cards to the 2 DGGDs in Wisconsin. All of the rest come to my house so I get to hand them gift packages of treats.
Wendy...Curt and also 2 friends had both the flu and covid vaccinations the same time and had reactions. Curt was under the weather for 3 days. I opted to have just the flu and will decide later if I will have the covid one.
Tasty... My Mom always had an upright freezer. When I got married, we got a chest type from Larry's parents. I've had a chest type ever since, but I miss the upright freezer for the reason you mentioned...much easier to organize. I have to get on a step ladder to reach the bottom of my chest type.
Mary M...Glad you were able to watch the service for Al.
Karen....I miss Lucy a little, but not enough to make me want to get a dog. I took her bed and food to her house yesterday and she was glad to see me and walked with me to the door like she thought I was going to take her....lol.
Wishing everyone a great Saturday! Charlene

Well try this again. The page just reset and I lost my post. Its so frustrating.
29 headed to 53 but sunny blue skies. Looks very bare with most of the leaves gone. I wish the big oak in the yard would drop its leaves. It will be a mess when it does. More mowing needed today. Dh is already working on stuff in the garage. He wants to get the boat put in the back garage this weekend. I will paint the garage doors once it is warm enough but that will be a bit. He will trim it out after its painted.
We got a lot done in 7 hours at my brothers. We scouted the land and decided where to put new stands. He has 3 existing stands tho he rarely uses the one because its a far walk and often hard to reach because of having to cross a low area that is sometimes under water. This year is so dry its not an issue and I will walk out there. He’ll do some brushing. We then set up a stand on the opposite corner of the property. Dd can hunt there if she wants. Its up on a ridge looking down. Db and dh worked on getting dds old stand put up and I cut brush. A few things left to do that I couldn’t reach but db will use a pole saw on those. We then disassembled a portable metal stand. That was a job as its a beast. We were able to get it on a few pieces. Db and I got the top in the side by side and hauled it out. Well, mostly. We arrived at the spot we wanted to put it to discover it had fallen off the back of the side by side about 1/3 of the way back. Whoops! Had to go back and get it. We did manage to get all the pieces there, bolted it all back together and stood it up. It will need a covering and lots of brushing but at least we are set up enough. If you imagine a #5 dice all the dots are where we have stands on his 40 acres, which is a mile squared. We can also hunt at our buddys land the last weekend of the season if we want. For this year it will be good enough.
I guess I better post so I don’t loose this. Have a great day.

Good morning. I seem to get sidetracked most mornings and don't get here till late. I've done dishes, swept, and been texting with a high school classmate who is working on the 50th reunion next month. I had helped with the 25th so she was asking about things I might have done. I have floppy disks with stuff but told her it probably wouldn't help because not many people have floppy drives anymore. I won't be going to this reunion. We had a little over 300 in our class but she told me 100 have passed. I'm sure there are probably some who moved away that they don't know about. I'm going to go out soon and finish spray painting the backs of the chair legs. DGS did the container but not the backs of the chair legs and since it may rain tonight I want to get things finished and back on the porch. We haven't had rain in 4 weeks and I should have been watering but have hesitated since my water bill was high, I assume from washing the porch and my car, and I want a full month without extra to see if I need to look for a leak. It was actually higher than the first month the meter connection was leaking. After I saw it I wished I had contacted the woman about the bill the month before since she said she would adjust it. I just figured I'd pay that extra 10 or so and be done with it but now I have a larger bill due and I'm wondering if there is still a leak somewhere. I did get an email from spectrum that they are giving me a $30 credit for the time I didn't have internet after my power was restored after Helene, so that will help.
Sandy, I'm sorry your DD doesn't let you spend time with DGS. One day she will probably wish she had.
Think I'll go ahead and have lunch and then head outside. Have a super Saturday.

Good morning, its 55° and raining headed to highs in the low 60s. They tell us we should see on and off showers throughout the day, but there will be plenty of dry-time in between the showers.
Looks like a good day to do some cleaning.
Bet, what a beautiful picture from your area. Your pictures remind me of our visits to my nieces when they lived in NY.
Charlene, sounds like Lucy enjoyed her time with you and is already missing her daily visits with you. Enjoy your great nephew’s wedding and reception.
Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning, It is a beautiful day here. Very mild temps and no wind. I have vacuumed and made the pumpkin muffins DGD#2 requested. I tried them and they are delicious. Yesterday I did get the patch painting done. No one will notice, but I feel good about crossing that chore off my to do list. Bet, I hope you get all that you want to do accomplished. Sandy, let's hope your gds gets to see the card. Melissa, getting ready for deer season requires a lot of work. It is nice for you that the weather has been cooperating. Leslie, I haven't had a drop of rain for over a month except for the other day when I got .2. It would be nice if people who have too much rain could pipe it up here. Hope your water bill gets straightened out. Count your blessings. Marlene

I can just say good morning as it is almost noon. A beautiful sunny but cool day here. I did get the inventory of my freezer finished this morning, now I just need to print it out and we'll see how much I can get thru before I start filling them up again. I find it hard to resist good sales if I see them. Laundry is done and the bed is remade. Now, what to do with the rest of the day. Hope you make the most of the day.

Good afternoon, it is currently 61° and cloudy. Nothing too much going on here.
I need to decide where I am going to put my recycling container. It used to sit beside the fridge but since they gave me a new to me one the door opens the opposite way. I did put it in the closet but that is inconvenient, so I am trying to come up with a better choice. That keeps those little gray cells active, hahaha.

I was here earlier to read and got distracted before I could post. DH had stuff going on and I was texting with DSis#4 before we decided to talk on the phone instead of texting. Guess that grabbed my attention before I could post. I'm holding my breath that we just had a momentary blip when DH had a temper tantrum that rather hurt my feelings. I don't know if it was his actual words or the surprise of them given how easy going he has been since the medication change. Time will tell. Besides texting with and talking to my sister, I was trying to take care of museum stuff on Facebook. After I left on Wednesday, the others decided to get rid of some stuff in the garage by having a sale today. I received pictures of what was being offered for sale and posted them. I just got an update. They sold over $100 worth of items. What I think they cared most about, though, was getting rid of things we didn't need or know if they even pertained to our community. Just because they are old doesn't mean there is a connection to our town. The purpose of our museum is to preserve our history, not really history in general. Our friend, the former curator, would accept historical donations and didn't really care if they were pertinent to the town. We're out of space and need to think outside the box now. Another beautiful photo, Bet! Hopefully you can work outside this weekend. I did not get my bulbs planted yet, but I did get the Repels All closer to the garage door and the bulbs, so I'm getting there. Sandy, all you can do is try. I'm sorry you have to wonder about things like that with your grandson. Wow, Wendy, it's amazing that you have cantaloupe growing! Very cool! Did the Tylenol work on the achiness? You had me using my Google machine with your use of Ornithogalum, Charlene. Looks like it is a pretty plant. Have a nice time at the wedding and reception. Love that you created that bond with Lucy! I wish, Melissa, that there was a good solution to you not having problems posting here. I appreciate you continuing to try! Great explanation on using a #5 dice in telling us how the stands got set up. Leslie, I think I have gone to my last class reunion also. I just don't have the interest anymore. I wasn't even invited to the first one, but did work on the next couple we had. The last one I attended was nice. I can be good with that being the last one I attend if it works out that way. I hope you don't have a water leak somewhere. That sounds expensive and like huge challenge to sort out. Nice to be getting that credit from Spectrum. If you need the rain, I hope you get it, Mary M. I got a popup on my screen a bit ago saying we are expecting rain on THURSDAY. That seems to indicate we'll be dry until then. Not good. You may have inspired me, Marlene, to possibly make pumpkin muffins. I have a can of pumpkin that might still be okay to use. Muffins or bread would be easier than my favorite - pumpkin roll, but it will depend on the date on the can if I use the pumpkin. DH hasn't traditionally liked pumpkin, but his tastes have changed to being a lot more food friendly these day. Tasty, good job on the inventory getting done! I hope you found a suitable place for your recycling container, Carol. Okay. I promised DH I would go watch a movie with him. Best get out there now. Have a sensational Saturday!

Good afternoon! 92° with white whispy clouds.
I got so much done in the garden today. I didn't even stop to eat. I made two containers, the kind that pretzel sticks come in, with all my raw (not cooked😄) kitchen scraps and vegetable water from cooking veggies.
My plan was just to scratch around my two shrubs that are blooming now and needed a boost, spread the pureed veggies, water and be done. It was 4pm when I called it quits. I cleared out two 55gallon containers of yard debris. Some still from the hurricane. Now that those two large spots are cleared and I cultivated with my ryobi, I'm ready to get some annuals and plant a little color. The orange from the cape honeysuckle is gorgeous. I'm afraid with all the pruning I did through the spring and summer on my powder puff tree is causing it not to bloom this year😥 The bees will miss it.
I showered and washed my hair so I'm ready for church tomorrow. I'd better see what I have to feed my poor neglected tummy today.
I look back at this past month and wonder why I hadn't done any of this the past couple weeks with the nicer weather. Then it hit me, and I didn't realize it but I was paralyzed by this stupid election, staying in the house with the news going all day. I don't ever do that and I haven't done it since I voted. What a waste. Plus agonizing over my dental needs didn't motivate me either. I'm glad all that's behind me.

Karen, it took a couple doses of Tylenol 4hours apart but yes, it got rid of the achiness. I may even have had a slight fever because my tee shirt was damp.

Sandy, it is a nice feeling to have all your chores done and you can get a little breather for yourself. I feel so bad about the situation with your dgs but I guess there isn't much you can do about it but wait and hope things change.
Wendy, do you have good luck with the concoction you made to feed your plants? You really accomplished a lot outside today but isn't it a great feeling to know it is done.
Charlene, glad you at least got enough rain to make it possible to get your bulbs out of the ground. Hopefully you will get some more. My but you seem to have a lot of weeding happening lately. Enjoy yourself today.
Melissa, you certainly put in a lot of time yesterday preparing for hunting. When does your season open? Hope it got warm enough for you to paint the garage doors today. That is quite a project you and DH took on but the pictures of the first door looked great.
Leslie, hope you got the chairs finished today and onto the porch before you get rain. My class only had one reunion and that was our 20th year. It is now 62 years. There was only 18 in the class and I only know for sure where 4 of them are for sure as they live here in town. I know a few have passed away. Hope the increase in the water bill is just usage which you can control but not a leak somewhere. I have my own water system as there is no town water here so don't have that monthly bill but the cost if something went wrong with it it would be in the thousands to repair.
Marnee, where did you visit in New York?
Marlene, I like pumpkin but I am so sick of all the food feeds I get that is all they are cooking right now. I usually get a small pumpkin each year and freeze it but this year the are asking $6 for a pumpkin they are calling carving pumpkins and they aren't much bigger than a basketball. Feel bad for the kids that there seems to be no real jack o lantern pumpkins anywhere.
Carol, can't the door be changed to open the other way. That is possible on most refrigerators.
Karen, hope things have gone well since the mine glitch this morning.
I have had a very busy day however never did a thing I had planned to do. Never stepped foot outside. When I finally quit trying to figure out what I was going to do about my job without any conclusion, I headed for the kitchen. Well not quite yet. I was printing out things for work and neither of my printers were printing right. I new the Lazer needs toner and that is ordered but the big color printer wasn't printing have of the words on a page. I put all new ink in that and not help so spend about 2 hours running tests etc. to get it working properly again. No idea what caused it but at least I now know how to fix it. I packaged up things that were in freezer containers in the refrigerator freezer and added another small container to one self that held all of that stuff and some other things that were taking up space. That made room for me to get 5 meals of leftover pork chops and gravy into freezer containers and then are now in the freezer. I spent quite a bit of time looking for something for dinner tonight. Finally decided on a new recipe for chicken enchiladas. I was out of enchilada sauce so made a batch of that and got the chicken cooked for it once I found it in the freezer. They are all put together ready to just add the sauce and cheese on top and into the oven. Wanted something sweet so make my Mom's chocolate cake that makes 4 4" cakes. I like my boiled chocolate fudge frosting but it is to much to mess with if you just want to pull a cake from the freezer and frost it. I found a new frosting that I can make and keep the extra in the refrigerator ready any time. So I have a nice little cake all frosted for dinner tonight. Also made ranch dressing and a tossed salad for dinner. If I wait until dinner time I usually don't make it. The dishwasher is emptied and will be full after dinner so will get that run. Making trips up and down to the basement for things I have been also taking things on the way down and getting them put away.
That's not a bad day accomplishments but considering I have been up since 4 and it is now 6 I should have got more done. I need to head for the basement and get the steam canner as I have Rotel tomatoes I made the other day that need to get processed.
Enjoy your evening.
Bet
