Good morning! It's warm and clear this morning! It's going to be unseasonably warm today with temps hovering near 80°. Our D4 gathering was excellent last night. Everyone showed up, and we enjoyed some great food. Gathering lasted just about 2 hours. My Himmel und Erde was 2/3rds eaten. Folks really liked the potato/apple combination on top of the seasoned ground pork. Bill's good friend will visit for lunch today. I have a recliner chair cover that arrived yesterday to put on. We're going to exercise class so have to get a move on! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning. Out and back on this chilly 60º morning. We took the cart so as not to aggravate my back anymore than it already is. Going to the foot doctor today and my foot is all better. But I want him to check it anyway. I may stop at a few places to just look around, to get out of the house. I'm going stir crazy just sitting. But all the sitting took the pain away from my foot.
The temperatures are on the rise for this week into next Tuesday. At least the nights and mornings will be nice. Maybe I'll get over to Lyndas for a visit this week. I missed going to church with her yesterday.
Left over pizza for lunch and left over hot dish for supper....maybe.
One more cup of coffee and then I better get to my morning chores while it's still cool weather.

Just taking a break. 8# of potatoes peeled and cut into chunks. Will start cooking them around 2 at the latest. Need to thicken the gravy for the chops and in the oven at 3. Greens beans just need to be warmed and the sauce stirred into the at the last minute. Rolls are thawing. My tote with everything that from my kitchen we need. I a slowly purchasing those thing to leave in our tote at the senior center. Dishwasher is going again. My cohort will be here at 4:30 to help me pack my car and we will be off. It was 49° here this morning with partly sunny skies and a high of 75°. It was beautiful out this morning a little after 6 the eastern sky was a beautiful pink before the sun made it over the mountain and the moon was still lighting up the western sky. I hope to get outside for an hour or so at least to the shop as there is some watering to do out there. I did break down and call the refrigeration folks back. They will be here sometime between 12 and 4 so that really messes up my work schedule but need to make a decision what I am going to do. Can't get by without a new freezer.
Ann sounds like a lovely get together of 4D. Good friends and good food. Can't beat that.
Momma, glad you foot is better. Hope back starts feeling better.
Elza, glad you enjoyed the play yesterday. I saw Sound of Music on Broadway in 1962 on my Senior trip. However that was after Mary Martin finish doing the play. It was of additional interest to me knowing the story of the Von Trapps living so close to Vermont.

Good morning. I went and got the neighbors dog to walk with me. Then I took some paper work to the brokers. Just finished a raisin mcmuffin.
I saw my sisters vehicle in their driveway on my way home from cards last night. It was dark in the house so I'm Sure they were tired driving straight thru as it was only 8:30.
Ann- what a great turn out for your building. I'm glad you had a good time.
Bet- you are sure busy today for the Lions. They sure have another great meal tonight.
Mamma- hope you find some answers at the Dr.
I am hoping my bil and sis come and get their junk out of my freezer and fridge today. Last week they had shrimp, coffee creamer etc. On sale so we picked up a bunch of stuff for them.

Elaine, glad to know your DSis made it there. Hopefully they pic up their groceries today.
Chris, I wondered where you were. Not like you to miss. How are Dan's appointments going? I forget to you have another show coming up soon? I know the feeling of doing nothing else but mine has been only 2 days and that has been cooking.
The gravy is finished for the pork chops. The will go in the oven at 2. The butter garlic and almonds are all mixed into the green bean and they are ready to go. First batch of mashed potatoes are done and the second batch is in the Instant Pot. One more to go. I think I have everything packed up or boxes waiting until the last minute for some things. Need to go get some cardboard down in my trunk so it is ready when Mary gets here. I do hope I find time enough to get myself ready. I don't think I can go to the meeting is sweats and should at least try to do something with my hair.
My DSOil showed up today and got my new heater installed. I did do some watering out there and spent some time moving things out of his way that need to be put back. I do need to see if I can get the pilot light. He just installs I guess but doesn't check it out. LOL

Just stopping by to say hello. Not feeling my best today. After my OT appointment, I've done nothing else but lay with a blanket in the Lazy Boy. Hoping whatever it is that has me feeling yucky will be gone tomorrow morning before another session of OT and PT. Hope to chat with you afterwards. Waving to each of you. Lori

They're keeping you busy Lori. Hope an evening of relaxing and a good night's rest will have you much better. I've been busy all day but really couldn't tell you what I've achieved other than make a pear and cranberry coffee cake which just came out of the oven - using what I have again. It looks pretty with the pops of colour from the cranberries but haven't tasted it yet. Supper tonight will be a taco salad while the weather is still nice. It's supposed to be nice again tomorrow - would be nice.
Have a great evening.

Hi ! Have not had much of anything to say but have been reading. Life is routine and fairly boring -but I like it that way. I don't need drama!
Lori, glad DH is finally feeling better, sorry to hear you are down though. We got vaccines last Wednesday and had no reaction at all to them.
Mamma, hope it went well at the foot doctor. Hoping your back pain goes away.
Bet, your dinner tonight sounds so good. I am fixing pork chops tomorrow for the mission. The gal told me they served 48 folks last week. I had sent her 60 chicken legs. She served the leftover chicken on Wednesday because they were running out of food. I signed up to take a meal to a lady and her family from our church who were involved in an auto accident last week. I am taking it on Wednesday. I'll be doing the same menu as Tuesday: pork chops (Baked), veggie rice, green beans, salad. The mission gets lemon bars for dessert but Lisa will get apple crisp.
Ann, glad you enjoyed D buildings pot luck. Sounds like fun. We have lunch at church Sunday. They are serving soup and chili. No one mentioned bringing dessert, so I am not planning on making anything.
I did not cook this weekend. We ate at Bible study Friday night, and the hostess served chicken spaghetti. Saturday night we went to a wedding over at Care. They served pulled pork, mac & cheese with some tomato mixed in, deviled eggs, pasta salad, shrimp cocktail. Girls walked around with trays of stuffed mushrooms, mini cheesecake bites, bite size cream puffs, mini chocolate eclairs. Lunch Sunday was at a Mexican restaurant.
Supper tonight is taco salad.
Nights are very cool here, but we will be in the 80's during the daytime, so the AC is back on daytime hours.
Need to go put groceries away, make supper and get the lemon bars made. Have a nice evening !

Here is what the doctor told me......People with certain foot types, such as flat feet or high arches, are more likely to develop Morton’s Neuroma. I have a high instep/arch like my dad. Morton's neuroma is a painful nerve condition in the foot that occurs when the tissue around the interdigital nerve thickens. It's often caused by compression of the nerve. So I’ve ordered some pads that the doctor suggested and they should be here shortly. Anyway by the time I got home my foot was sore and now after taking Mandy out, swollen too. He suggested not going barefoot, but it hurts less then. I am a puzzle as always.
When I got home I peeled 5 pounds of potatoes to cook up and make mashed potatoes. I didn’t want them to spoil. I now have 6 good sized meals in the freezer for later use and one for some day this week. Since I know there is nothing but the pads to help my foot I don’t feel that sitting and doing nothing is going to help. I don’t even know if the pads will help. But I’m praying that they do. I can wear them with our without shoes cuz they stick to the foot. Maybe not mine since my feet are always sweaty even when cold. Hehehe
