Saturday, October 19th "What's Cookin'?"

Hi everyone…..I must apologize to you all.
     I haven’t been posting here as I haven’t been cooking much. Didn’t think you’d be interested in my everyday comings and goings. Don’t want to bore you all.
    Lori, I am doing well at the moment. I have been reading here and am so pleased how well you are coming along, although I know you have a long way to go. I’ve been posting mostly on Midwest, sometimes on the reading thread. Discovered a few weeks ago that when I start typing, words pop up on the top of my keyboard suggesting words I might use. Click once on that instead of many letters. Was too busy concentrating on the letters on the keyboard I guess. Still typing with both index fingers, meds are keeping arthritis in check for the most part. Some days I don’t post at all. MS is holding its own too. Some days I feel really good, then I over-do. Pay for it the next few days. Can’t complain, life has been good for the most part.
     I’ll try to do better and come here more often. Might even cook something tomorrow, running out of the stash I had in the freezer. Time for something new. Take care everybody.  Jan

Tasty, thanks for letting know that although Jan is not posting here, she is okay. I do miss her posts and hope she'll surprise us with stopping by here one day.

Jan- great seeing you post. I used to also post on Midwestwhen Larry was still alive. but then we moved here. NOW, I post here and sometimes backyard chat. I will need to stop in again to Midwest.

Lori- I hope your dh is feeling better.
My sister Shar left this morning from ND. She fell yesterday, yes on the hip that isn't healing. I just can't believe they are planning on driving straight through.
My sister Delores found out that the medication she is taking has not done anything. Her tumors on her lungs have grown and others have started. Thanks for asking.

Dh just made us each a Ceasars. I am enjoying it.

Lori, we'll move to the rental house next Sunday. No idea how long we will be there. The adjuster hasn't given his estimate yet so we don't know how much has to be rebuilt. The contractor guessed 3-4 months but I think that's optimistic.

We walked down to a favorite local place for dinner and I had a delicious Brussel Sprouts salad: spring greens, roasted brussel sprouts, bacon, dried cranberries, and pears, topped with fried chicken strips and a vinaigrette dressing.

Jan it's so wonderful to see you here again. Don't feel badly, I don't cook much at all anymore. No fun eating or cooking for one. Take care.
